Mushroom Women Sketchs

I’ve been drawing a lot lately. Actually, I’ve decided to do a drawing every day. I’m busy all the time now, with work and with college, so it’s hard to find the energy to be creative. Writing feels like a feat that requires more brain power than I have to spare, but I’ve always found peace in drawing. And with this, these drawings are for me. No pressure for perfection. Drawing by hand means erasing what’s flawed and trying again; it means not striving for perfection. It means simply enjoying creating for the sake of creating.

I forgot what that felt like.

I tried out new brushes for this one and had SO much fun!!

Day 18: Mushroom

I love mushrooms, as anyone who knows me will attest. I’ve had the image in my head all day and I didn’t want to just draw a standard mushroom fairy so I made her an ink cap all frilly and inky! She is blushing because someone complimented her frills but you can’t see cause she’s hiding under her cap.

Omg. I can’t believe I snagged a pair of these snag tights lol. These mushroom ones have caused a frenzy. I paid way too much for them ($32 with the stupid shipping) but I am sure they will be my new favorite pair.
