The title is the first line of the new translation of the Odyssey (by a woman, Emily Wilson), for the story of Bellamy coming back to Clarke, past the Iliad, the return of the hero, after the battle. There will be smut, eventually, be warned. Some flashbacks, some season 7 speculation, some scenes imagined from before that. This is mostly their relationship, but there is some plot in the background.

it’s so devastating when you think about just how much of their life monty and harper spent by themselves on the eligius ship. like the ground? the ring? that’s just a blip in their life to them. even the ark, where they spent the second most time, they won’t remember much because a lot of it was their childhood years and it’s the earliest of their memories.

for them, life really became the two of them and jordan. that was their whole entire world. and then jordan chose to go into cryo, and for the rest of their lives, some 30-40 years, it’s just the two of them. alone, with all their friends and their son around them, but not really there. how rough is that?
