and it's like despite all the awful shit he's done and continues to do, like, i get it. he's employed like 24/7/365. he never got to live a life, despite spending a childhood clinging to the hope of having one someday. He knew companionship and love but lost it and can't ever get it back. His circumstances are so anomalous and gruesome that it completely isolates him from pretty much every other human being on the planet. he knows hell is real and he is basically guaranteed to go there if he can't break this demon curse thing.

like it doesn't make the kidnapping and spreading the curse around any better, but i do get it.

🧑‍🦰 - Have they ever dyed their hair? Ever cut it themself?

Yumi cuts her own hair 100%, she would never ever pay for that LMAO and has also definitely experimented with bleach and dyes but is currently keeping it all natural

Raymond would never... It's regular trips to the barber and no dye.

💓 - What are some signs they’ve fallen for someone? How do they show their affection

prefacing this with neither of them are very good at this showing their affection thing, especially when they've only just fallen for the other and there's no guarantee of returned affection xD

Yumi is trying her best to make it obvious how she's enjoying herself in his presence. She's aware that she's usually flighty, kind of rude, and not very pleasant so she's trying (trying) to correct course. She smiles a lot from both nerves and genuine happiness and does her best to make him smile too. If she thinks he might feel the same way she'll escalate to physical touching.

That old man is made of wood though.... lmao i mean at first. Any affection feels really foreign to him, both giving and receiving. He tries to make himself as helpful as he can and gets very involved in her issues. This kind of inadvertently leads to moments of intimacy like cleaning and dressing the wounds on her hands, but this is so overwhelming to him that he spaces the fuck out and doesn't really show much of anything.

🍪 - How well can they bake?

Surprisingly, Yumi is pretty good in the kitchen and baking/sweets is her specialty. Unfortunately she doesn't get the chance to bake much with her lack of funds and free time. Sometimes she'll whip up a quick toffee or some meringues just to have something sweet around xD

Raymond can follow a recipe well enough but has never really thought to try. Baking is something you do for celebrations or loved ones and he hasn't had either in a while. When he was married Maria did all the baking anyway 😬

💘 - What do they find attractive about their partner(s)?

Physically, Yumi is first attracted to his face, voice and hands. She loves how severe and angular his features are, combined with his exhausted affect. The deep voice is obviously a huge charm point ♥ As for his personality, she's extremely attracted to how forgiving he is. She's really into when a man is like a doormat lol. Also his tenacity genuinely inspires her to maybe try a little harder.

At first Raymond has a hard time admitting his attraction at all, but it kind of comes through in the way he can't stop looking at her eyes or the way he feels about seeing her smile. Eventually he realizes her hair is really soft and he wants to hold her hands again and she kinda smells good and then like it's over bro. He loves how fun she is, even if she sometimes drives him crazy. She's wild and insane and could kick (or baby) his ass and he never thought he would be into that but he is, badly
