By popular demand... Saiu a primeira parte do primeiro episódio do MotorCast, o podcast do Papo de Motor. Ele está disponível no Soundcloud e tem apenas 16 minutinhos, então, vai dar pra ouvir no ônibus, durante o treino, na hora de lavar a louça... 

Esse episódio vai falar sobre algumas coisas que valem à pena serem relembradas da temporada passada da IndyCar Series, de 2019, vencida pelo americano Josef Newgarden. As melhores corridas, os pilotos que mais se destacaram, detalhes que passaram imperceptíveis na época. O segundo episódio vai completar a fase do review e fazer um preview do que será possível esperar da temporada 2020 da Indy no que se refere ao grid de pilotos e claro, ao aeroscreen.

A Sociedade Comercial C. Santos e os seus 75 anos de história estiveram, recentemente, em destaque no programa “Motorcast” do StandVirtual, com a entrevista ao seu administrador, Pinho da Costa. Uma oportunidade soberana para viajar pelo passado, analisar o presente e projetar futuro da empresa…

Os 75 anos de existência da Sociedade Comercial C. Santos, um marco no tecido empresarial automóvel em Portugal, foram apenas o pretexto para uma interessante entrevista do Administrador da Sociedade Comercial C. Santos, Pinho da Costa, como convidado do programa “Motorcast” do Standvirtual e que poderá ver na integra em https://bit.ly/3w5Qdfj.

Em quase 60 minutos de entrevista dirigida por Nuno Castel-Branco (diretor geral do StandVirtual), o responsável máximo da Sociedade Comercial C. Santos, fez “radiografia” atualizada da empresa, identificando os seus pilares do sucesso, que, na sua ótica, passaram, por transformar os desafios em oportunidades concretizadas, sobretudo, na última década. A aposta numa nova dinâmica comercial, com a realização de eventos comerciais de grandes dimensões, e o empenho e compromisso com novas formas de trabalhar, nomeadamente, com o apoio de embaixadores e reforço acentuado da presença digital (práticas comuns hoje no setor, mas praticamente inexistentes há cerca de uma década) contribuíram ,decididamente, para percorrer o caminho do êxito.

Um sucesso que, sob o ponto de vista do entrevistado, não está, naturalmente, completo, e que passa por manter o dinamismo da empresa, com a aplicação de novos investimentos de que um novo showroom de 3.000 m² na sede do concessionário, na Maia, é apenas a face mais visível.  

Apesar dos seus 75 anos de história, o retrato de “família” da Sociedade Comercial C. Santos, para o seu atual administrador, é também sinónimo do trabalho e esforço de uma grande e profissional equipa, numa empresa que mantém, afinal, hoje como “ontem”, o espírito jovem e dinâmico, fundamental para vencer, num mercado automóvel que, atualmente, está longe de se resumir à comercialização e assistência de viaturas.

Our story begins in Cape Horizon, the site of many space shuttle launches on planet Aftu. Aftu is much like the planet Earth but it’s inhabited by many anthropomorphic creatures. At the moment however Cape Horizon is open to the public and two friends, Clereen the Puppy and John Motorcast, are taking part in a guided tour around the station. Tour Guide: For the last time, the food is at the restaurant at the end of the tour. Now unless you have any serious questions about the shuttle program- Yes, you standing next to the person who just asked. John Motorcast: What kind of purity regulations do you have on the rubber used to make the O-rings? Tour Guide: What? I don’t know. What kind of question is that? Rubber is rubber. Yes, the hungry one again. Clereen the Puppy: Do you have food on the space shuttle? Tour Guide: Why yes. It all has to be dried and stored in airtight containers so that it stays fresh over the many weeks a pilot might spend in space. Clereen the Puppy: Well can we stop at the shuttle for a bite to eat then? It was at this point that the tour guide’s face started to turn a shade of burgundy and the pair decided not to ask any more questions.

Welcome to the blog, viewer! I’m John Motorcast, the guy on the right in the picture above. I’m the nerdy one. Clereen is the one on the left, the hungry one. I own and write the blog but it’s a team effort and me and Clereen decide together what to put down. I am an anthropomorphic wolf with dirty-white fur and blue eyes who wears blue sweatpants with a white stripe down the side of the leg and a red sweatshirt with a white stripe down the side of the arm. Clereen on the other hand doesn’t wear clothes but she has fur so it’s okay. She’s an anthropomorphic dog with floppy ears, brown fur and brown eyes. I am in fact a robot with imitation fur stuck to an outer hull and Clereen is completely organic but she can eat huge amounts of food and has to to use her powers. I’m rather nerdy in that I’m socially awkward, a bit of a big head, very technically minded, a know-it-all, often oblivious or ignorant of people’s feelings but on the plus side I’m smart and I have a kind heart. Clereen is hyperactive, emotionally flippant, easily distracted or bored and often acts before she can think but she’s got a good heart and is often very cheerful. I use a weapon known as Mine Gauntlets. It’s a device that covers the hands and forearms that has grasping paw-like attachments on the end which detach and explode when they detect movement about a second after. Clereen’s powers are numerous yet surprisingly limited. Using her ability to control Newtonian Forces she can push and pull objects without touching them, cause objects to levitate and make a barrier to protect herself from physical attacks. She can also fire a beam of energy from her hand. Both of us have a small amount of psychic ability in that we have premonitions and in both cases it happens on its own sporadically. Also we have a psychic bond that at random times lets us know when the other is in danger. We are about to embark on an adventure to an alien world of fantasy and science fiction where reality is not quite what you expect. Join us as we meet friend and foe, climb the highest mountains, ford the deepest rivers, all in a quest for knowledge, power and the greatest eateries. It’s sure to be a lot of fun so get your browsing cap on and enjoy the read.

OH YES DEFINITELY but since it's like a massive occasion i think we are going to do something massive for it too! like a full on recap and review of the show and the finale and everything

but for the moment it's kinda hard because i'm still working full time and i don't have regular weekends until i change my shift.. so..  yeah.
