Day 25: Hampton Harbour Sage. Testing out and swatching a new ink from Ferris Wheel Press. Love this shade of green because it isn’t too garish or loud. Green can be a tricky color. I feel like this and a sepia or brown ink would make a nature journaller swoon. I'll have another color tomorrow and it's a gooood one.

Over the last several months, I've been less and less interested in my longest on-going hobby: fountain pens. Starting Uni was insane and I hardly had the time or energy. I am really excited as I am dipping my toes back into it, starting with these ones from Ferris Wheel Press that I got in December! I'm hoping to be able to spend more time on fountain pens, which were my crutch for several years

Radiant Rosewing ink swatching. Coming to the FerriTales Ink collection at Ferris Wheel Press on January 5th. A rose pink color with duochrome gold/pink shimmer. Sometimes I think pink is just too light to write with, but this one has a lot of warmth to it so I might try to make it work. It steers clear of the more childlike bubblegum and pastel pinks. It's almost a more serious and romantic shade of pink if that makes any sense. Color me intrigued! What do you think of pink ink?

Hearty Harvest ink swatching. I've been wanting a beautiful fall color for a few weeks now and this one is perfect. Orange is one of my favorite colors, and this one leans a little dark so it really works to write with. 🧡

Harlequin Dream ink swatching. Coming to the Everyday Ink collection at Ferris Wheel Press on January 5th. I misspelled Harlequin twice. Not a word I write very often. I love purple, so this ink went straight into a fountain pen before I even swatched it. Lovely blurple color. No shimmer. 💜💜 I did get a bit of feathering when I wrote slowly for my calligraphy but that does happen with a lot of inks and when I use a pen that flows heavily like this.

Billowing Blush ink swatching. Coming to the FerriTales Collection at Ferris Wheel Press on May 3rd. A blush pink, very muted ink. Green/gold shimmer. A more realistically usable shade of pink (vs something more neon/bubblegum that is very hard to read) for everyday writing. Also shown Carousel fountain pen with M nib.

💚 Another new ink to add to my arsenal. Launching September 1st at Ferris Wheel Press. And a new carousel pen. This time I got the medium nib which I have been wanting to try. I love a juicy pen and this one suits me more than the fine nib. Also tried it out with a dip pen but there's a reason it's sold as a fountain pen ink. 😄 (Sometimes you just gotta try the things you're not supposed to do.)

Day 23: Poison Envy. I got my hands on a new ink that's coming to the FerriTales collection at Ferris Wheel Press on August 4th. 💜 It's a deep purple with duochrome green and pink shimmer. The packaging is so magical and mystical. 😍 I felt like a witch writing an evil spell.

Swatching Aurorealis ink. Coming to Ferris Wheel Press for a limited time on February 2nd. A deep violet color with duochrome pink and gold shimmer. The bottle detail is really beautiful. The dark ink colors are hardest for me to capture in the camera but trust me that this is a lovely shade of violet with subtle shimmer.

Frontenac Blue ink swatching. I was really surprised by this color. I don't have any teal inks and this one is such a beautiful shade. It would probably be useful in summer as a cool, beachy, ocean color too. Coming to the Everyday Ink collection at Ferris Wheel Press on December 1st. I also got the Blue Legacy 38ml Ink Carriage to hold my ink bottles. It's such a clever design that makes each bottle look like a little ferris wheel.

Day 26: Song of Scarlet. More fountain pen ink swatching today. This time we have a beautiful red. Really deep and rich, and I just love the blue shimmer.
