beijing olympic figure skating so far:

- no misha white crow (rusfed’s fault)

- no rika (hamada’s fault)

- no soran bushi (jsf’s fault)

- diana/gleb (eteri’s fault)

- man who doesn’t know what a toeloop is in the final mens SP group while the reigning olympic gold medalist is not (eteri and covid’s fault)

- daniil g probably infecting all of team russia with covid and still flying to beijing when he’s not even an athlete, just a hack choreographer whose presence is wholly unnecessary (eteri and rusfed’s fault)

literally the only reason not to cancel it is so that sui/han can win gold at their home olympics, sure hope china is on top of that because if they get robbed again I will be so done

#figure skating #i’m absolutely going to cry about rika for the entire womens event #too young in 2018 and in 2026 she’ll have a hard time what with all the upcoming japanese juniors with ultra-cs #jsf… i know you want to beat eteri girls but propping up an equally abusive coach is not the way to go #love how i get more bitter every olympics #womens skating is hateful atm #post-vm pre-kagapol ice dance is just mediocre #miura/kihara have been a nice surprise but them and sui/han are the only pairs worth talking about #and men are as messy and flopworthy as always #though at least men will be funny #morisi's saltoe in the last group #jesus christ superstar #the probable outcome of nate standing center podium in that cheeto shirt #sui/han gold has to happen as compensation for the absolute horrorshow it has been #and the only way to make this a net positive experience is getting a yuzuru rotated and clean 4A on top of that
