What if.... The plot of the side story goes like this:

Jake finally contacts us and says he saved Richy from the mine. We tell him that he is the real kidnapper and a confused Jake disconnects and we don't hear from him for days.

Then, there is news that Richy has appeared... But dead...

Everyone suspects that it was Jake who killed him when he found out that he was the kidnapper, and we have to prove that Jake didn't do it.

In the end it turns out that after an argument with Jake, Richy felt very guilty and fled the hideout, for... Well... Leave this world.

And all the time in the side story we are investigated by an agent who is investigating Richy's murder and who is chasing Jake

Ok, enough, this what happen when you think too much about plots 🤣🤣🤣

I couldn't help but read through Everbyte's Moonvale meets Duskwood page again, and something made me theorize further.

Naturally you are already in your next case and your new friends are counting on you. On the other hand, worrying about your old friends doesn’t just let you go either. Has something happened to them?

Duskwood is not far from Redlog Pines. Should you ask your new friends for help? Or should you go and check out the situation in Duskwood yourself?

Suddenly you get a call from an unknown number …

Now, remember about one of Everbyte's posts? When they asked if they should invite Phil to Redlog Pines one day, so we could ask him ourselves how he and his sisters are doing?

Considering the fact that we, as Duskwood players, are given a side story, and only we start with "Suddenly, you get a call from an unknown number ...", I came to the next conclusion:

We'll get a call from Phil, who got released from jail, and wanted to infrom us/ask about us. Considering all of our friends' contacts are lost, this most likely could be possible.

What happens next, is an endless possibility.

Will he help us through the case? Will we find out the Hawkins siblings are actually from Redlog Pines (considering that Jessy mentioned she didn't grow up in Duskwood)? Is Phil somehow connected to Eric and Adam? Maybe the three are childhood friends, and now that one of them dissapeared, Phil wants to keep an eye on the case? He might even try to invite us to the Aurora again, reasoning with "We could visit Redlog Pines as well, and you could look around and do your detective things."

Everbyte left us with many shady, question filled blank pages. And what else could a fandom do with these papers than not to fill them with theories?

I have a feeling that we can't except many or any updates until May 24th, so we're left alone with the clues and hints they gave us.

Any theories and suggestions, my dear friends?

Perhaps I imagine in the side story that Everbyte writes at the end Jake wanting to sacrifice himself to protect Hannah, Lilly and MC, giving it a closure in which they leave us like the first game, without knowing what will happen

And before he does it, we can argue with him about making a mistake

I mean, imagine Jake saying: I put your lives first before mine, I cannot let something bad happen to you because of me... And especially not to you. I cannot let them hurt you because of me.

First time interacting with you (well anonymously anyway!) but I needed to share something about Moonvale!

I got the feeling that we will see a news report somewhere in the first episode where they will talk about the fire in the mines and/or how the FBI is still hunting the hacker that was in the fire as he successfully escaped the fire and them! As for the people who never played Duskwood it won’t really matter but to those who played it will be a hint that he is still alive and that he will contact us if we have the code !

anyway! I can’t wait for Moonvale to come out as I am playing, AGAIN, Duskwood for the nth time now.

And damn, woah, I love this idea! To be honest, I never thought about it but it could really fit. Especially since we already had a news report in Duskwood. And after that happened at the end.. I'm pretty sure there will be reports about all of it. Simply because of the old mine. Something terrible happened there before and now once again. For news it would be an amazing story.

And maybe Moonvale-only player wouldn't even have to watch it. We have to enter the code right at the beginning, so maybe it will only be shown to code-player. For us it would definitely be a great way to inform us and to got us into the side story. And to start Moonvale with a huge bang. 😌

I think it's definitely possible. And I even hope this is how it's going to be. It would be freaking exciting. *-*

I mean, of course it would not be good when the world would suddenly hear about this hacker but damn, I really want to see them talking about Jake in a new report.
