Hello!! I’m back from the grave once again to announce that I’m going to see the Super Live in Taipei this April!!!!!!! I’m gonna try my best to get as many pieces of it as I can (if you catch my drift) but since this is my first time ever attempting to do this, I can’t guarantee a 100% success rate. Not sure if I’ll have the time to make a review of it either but we’ll see. I’m looking forward to it tho!! My 2018 self would definitely pass out.

“Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” The Super Live, a new live 2.5D Musical entertainment based on the wildly popular manga (comic book) will play at the PlayStation Theater (1515 Broadway at 44th Street) for three performances on March 29 at 8PM and March 30 at 1PM and 5PM. Directed and choreographed by TAKAHIRO (Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet Tour) with book by Akiko Kodama(Takarazuka Revue Company), and music by HYADAIN (Momoiro Clover Z; AKB48). “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” The Super Live will have its US premiere in Washington DC for one performance only at The Warner Theatre on March 24, along with its run in New York. With its themes of love, justice and friendship, the musical features an all-female cast; there are some male characters, played by women.

One of the most popular mangas of all time, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon has sold over 36 million copies worldwide. Created by Naoko Takeuchi, Sailor Moon began as a manga in 1991 in Japan in a girl’s comic magazine, “Nakayosi”, published by Kodansha. It was subsequently adapted as an anime program (Japanese animation), and a live-action television program. A sequel to the series is also now in production. In “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” The Super Live, the characters come to life, live on stage and it was produced in part to commemorate the 25th anniversary since Sailor Moon was first published.  The brand has generated $5 billion in merchandise sales.

“Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” The Super Live marks the first time a 2.5D Musical will be on an American stage. 2.5D Musicals, which began around 2000, are based on popular contemporary Japanese culture: manga comics, anime and video games.  Manga and animation are in 2D, and live theatre is in 3D. Therefore, they call performances based on manga and animations 2.5D. A theatre has been built in Japan to house this popular new form of entertainment.

“At its core, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is about strong girlfriends banding together to fight for what they believe in…that’s timely,” said producer Takaharu Uera. “Sailor Moon and her Sailor Guardians are equipped with powers that help them defeat evil and the characters are imbued with the self-determination to make their own confident decisions. In short, they are the ultimate example of ‘girl power.’ We look forward to introducing American audiences to Sailor Moon, her Guardians and the 2.5D Musical experience.”

This production of “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” The Super Live premiered on August 31, 2018 at the AiiA 2.5 Theater Tokyo. After its world premiere in Tokyo, it played a run in Paris earlier this year prior to its Washington D.C. and New York premieres in 2019.

Watch Sailor Moon The Lover of Princess Kaguya Musical's First Day Performance Digest

    The official YouTube channel for the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon franchise started streaming a three-minute digest of the first day performance of its latest muscical show  Kaguya-hime no Koibito (The Lover of Princess Kaguya), which kicked off at The Galaxy Theater in Tokyo on September 3. This new show is based on the 1994 film Sailor Moon S: The Movie and its manga edition titled Kaguya-hime no Koibito drawn by the Sailor Moon manga's original author Naoko Takeuchi herself in the same year

  The show is scheduled to run at the theater until September 12, and the tickets for its final day performance are already sold out. As reported, its first and final day (September 3 and 12) performances are live-streamed through the Streaming+ streaming services to the audience in Japan first, then will also be available to the international audience through GLOBE CODING at a later date.

Drama Musikal Sailor Moon Membocorkan Daftar Pemeran dan Tanggal untuk Pementasan di US pada Maret 2019

Situs resmi dari franchise Sailor Moon mengumumkan semua pemeran wanita beserta dengan informasi yang berkaitan dengan pertunjukkan drama untuk Sailor Moon The Super Live yang akan dilangsungkan di Amerika Serikat. Drama ini diangkat dari manga Sailor Moon karya Naoki Takeuchi, yang akan dilangsungkan di Warner Theater, Washington, D.C. pada tanggal 24 Maret mendatang, yang kemudian akan digelar kembali di PlayStation Theater di New York pada 29-30 Maret.

Pertunjukkan drama ini akan digelar di Jepang dengan supertitle bahasa inggris. Perform yang dilangsungkan di US nantinya akan menjadi pertunjukkan “2.5-dimensional musical” yang pertama kali diadakan di US. Pada press release yang diberikan pada saat pengumuman tersebut menjelaskan, bahwa “2.5-dimensional musical” adalah pertunjukan drama live action yang terinspirasi oleh manga, anime, dan video games Jepang yang dimulai sekitar tahun 2000.

Drama ini akan memadukan nyanyian, tarian, dan video footage. Penari Takahiro Ueno akan mengarahkan dan menjadi choreographer untuk pertunjukkan ini. Akiko Kodama akan mengemas cerita, dan Hyadain (Ken’ichi Maeyamada) akan menjadi komposer musik untuk acara tersebut.

Pertunjukkan ini telah melakukan preview run di AiiA 2.5 Theater Tokyo dari 31 Agustus hingga 9 September, sebelum digelar di Palais des congrès de Paris pada 3-4 November sebagai bagian dari acara Japonismes 2018 di Paris, Prancis.

Sebelumnya, manga The Sailor Moon sendiri juga sudah diadaptasi menjadi sebuah drama, Karya terakhir adalah sebuah serial musikal yang dimulai dengan Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon -La Reconquista- di tahun 2013 untuk merayakan hari jadi manga yang ke 20. Seri ke-4 dari drama musical tersebut, Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon -Le Mouvement Final-, dilangsungkan di Jepang pada September hingga Oktober tahun lalu. dan untuk seri terakhir dari drama tersebut, direkam pada 1 Oktober  tahun lalu di Osaka, dan diputar di bioskop – bioskop di US pada bulan Maret, dan kemudian di Kanada pada awal April

Franchise ini mendapatkan pemeran baru untuk drama musikal ini dari personel idol grup Nogizaka46. Drama ini digelar di The Tennōzu Galaxy Theatre di Tokyo pada 8 hingga 24 Juni dan di TBS Akasaka ACT Theater di Tokyo pada 21 hingga 30 September.

Sailor Moon 30th Anniversary  Musical Festival -Chronicle-

The show is set to run in Tokyo from November 17 to 20, 2022

Most of the cast from last year’s musical, Kaguya-hime no Koibito, returns. With them, a couple other familiar faces: Chise, one of Le Mouvement Final’s Chibi Chibis is now cast as Chibi Moon... And Riona (aka Rubeus, Hawk’s Eye, Sailor Star Maker and Tuxedo Mask) is once again playing Tux!
