WISH LESS galleryでは、ずば抜けた画力でリアリズムを追究する画家、濱口健の個展を開催いたします。

ヤフオクにて入手した評論家の竹村健一氏の著作『現代人の座標軸』の表紙を見てなにか閃いた…、ような気がする作者が、その題名をそのまま自分の展覧会へちょいと拝借。作品もその思わせぶりな題名に因んだ社会風刺的なものとなるのか、そうではないのか？

「ペインティングに比べてシルクスクリーン・プリントって楽かな？と思ったら、 これはこれで手間のかかるものでしたね。 インクは何がいいのか判らなかったんで、 Tシャツくんのインクにしましたよ。」（作者談）

本展では、シルクスクリーン技法を使ったグラフィカルな濱口流ポップアートを披露いたします。 乞うご期待！！

WISH LESS gallery is honoured to announce Ken Hamaguchi’s solo exhibition ‘Modern Axes’. Ken is a master of realism with stunning technical painting skills.

He was inspired by the book ‘Modern Axes’ written by ,the Japanese journalist, Kenichi Takemura which he bought from Yahoo Auction, he borrowed the show title from that publication. It’s hard when viewing the art pieces to decide if they are social satire, or not…

Ken Hamaguchi’s comment; Silkscreen printing was unexpectedly more difficult than painting by hand. I just used ‘Tshirts-kun’ inks because I had no clue which ink to use.

In this exhibition, we will show Ken Hamaguchi’s graphic pop art with his unique use of screen printing. Please check it out!!

PROFILE Ken Hamaguchi graduated from the Japanese painting course at Tama Art University in 1997. He was mainly working as an illustrator until 2008, after which he debuted as an artist with his exhibition held in Takahashi Collection Kagurazaka, Tokyo.
