I wanted to pass on some of the love that’s been circling around lately to one of my favorite writers on Tumblr: @luffles424 aka Ashley aka goddess of fanfiction. I guess this post should really be titled WHO i’ve been reading because good lord I am reading Ashley’s writing on REPEAT.

I’m still working through her masterlist, but some of my favorite pieces of hers have been Down by the River (ft. bearded Jin of Daechwita), Kairos (ABO AU), and Saudade (Fae Namjoon).

I could probably write a full-on academic essay with a detailed introductory paragraph, killer thesis statement, and cited body paragraphs about why I love Ashley and her writing but it comes down to a couple of simple things.

THERE’S LITERAL MAGIC IN HER WRITING. After years of academia I feel like I am working really really hard to unlearn the habit of skimming through everything I read. With Ashley’s writing, I am hook-line-and-sinker ENGAGED and reading every word from the beginning. I’m not totally sure how she does it, but she does. All of that AND Ashley keeps writing these gorgeous magical-modern-day AUs that are not only fantastical and escapist dream material, but also super hot?

Also, Ashley’s characters? Flawless. Well, actually, flawed, flawlessly. Ashley creates situations and personalities that just shine with tension and passion and interest. These feel like real people. I honestly could read these characters forever, which is why when I get to the end of a 10k+ fic, I’m still craving more.

Anyways, I’ve probably already written more than you’ll read but I LOVE ASHLEY’S WRITING PLEASE GO READ HER WORK AND SHOW HER SOME LOVE.
