I got a couple asks saying this when I first posted my Akito essay but genuinely when the fuck did Akito ever experience suicidal ideation. And you can’t say Kashika because that song isn’t just about fawo, it’s Haruka Ryo’s song too. All I was saying is that the commissioned songs need to be treated with some degree of separation from the story. Producers are given a lot of freedom over the songs, which on record clpl have said is because they want the producers to also make a song that’s also their own instead of just specific to the game. While there are songs that are very clearly written entirely with the character/unit in mind (like multiple songs for wxs), there are songs in the game that have little to nothing to do with the event they’re from, be it because the producer wasn’t given a story to work with or because the producer decided to take a more personal route with the song (like MJM or CPDB). This isn’t an attack on anyone, I never called anyone stupid lmao I just said Akito isn’t/wasn’t suicidal and that songs should be treated as their own entity that isn’t 100% tied to the game. I don’t know why I’m writing this you probably have me blocked already

This causes Mafuyu to experience his transmasculine awakening. Ena sees all this going on and starts realizing that they might not feel super comfortable as a woman, either. Meanwhile, Kanade is just intensely researching the transgender community so that she can help her friends make trans music as the Token Cis Person™
