         his unexpected offer stops her in her tracks.  she doesn’t believe him, just stares at him blankly until he actually takes his jacket off and holds it out to her.  there’s a part of her that expects him to just snatch it away and laugh at her when she reaches for it ... but he doesn’t.  it’s warm, and ... feels a lot nicer than she wants it to.  she ducks her head, tries to stop thinking about how long the sleeves are on her or how it smells like him, because her face feels hot and she doesn’t want billy getting the wrong idea.  even if she isn’t sure if it really would be wrong.

how do you guys feel about billy hargrove? a racist and homophobic character. somebody in the community (mndflay) is writing him and using your docs don’t know how you’d feel about your docs being used for a character like that..

hi  non.  in  terms  of  the  character,  i  don’t  support  him  nor  do  i  write  with  any  billy’s,  personally.  i  think  lisa  is  in  the  same  boat  as  myself.  in  regards  to  our  docs  being  used  by  a  billy  writer,  the  docs  are  free  templates  for  the  rpc  as  a  whole.  i  would  hope  that  the  rpc  understands  that  the  opinions  of  a  character  do  not  translate  to  any  associations  with  said  character,  including  the  docs  the  writer  decides  to  use.  when  you  post  free  content  to  tumblr,  things  like  doc  templates  or  psds  or  themes,  you  run  the  risk  of  characters  you  may  not  like  using  them.  i  feel  like  it  would  be  different  if  it  were  commissioned  content.  the  right  to  refuse  service  is  ultimately  up  to  the  creator.  i  hadn’t  considered  it  before,  but  this  rule  may  apply  when  it  comes  to  custom  doc  requests  in  the  future.  i  hope  this  comes  across  how  it  was  intended  to,  and  that  it  was  an  appropriate  and  satisfactory  answer  to  your  question.

i think its important to note that that person who sent you the message about mndflay never called out anyone else who plays problematic characters and uses your docs. they also specifically attacked him today too...

i  see  you,  and  i  understand  what  you’re  saying.  there  are  a  multitude  of  problematic  characters  currently  being  written  in  the  rpc,  so  the  same  response  applies  to  those  character  as  well,  but  i  also  don’t  want  things  to  escalate,  especially  here.  while  i  don’t  necessarily  see  anything  hateful  in  the  message  sent  to  us,  any  message  sent  maliciously  towards  anyone  is  not  something  we  condone  or  support.  this  is  a  safe  space  ?  indiedocs  is  intended  to  be  a  resource  blog  for  the  rpc  to  utilise  and  we  don’t  want  to  take  away  from  that.
