what are your hcs for post canon kabumisu? I personally really like the idea that after mithrun realizes he still has desires, he actively pursues them at top speed >w< leading to the fastest (by elf standards) scandalous courtship with kabru lol <- this might be a switch in dynamics but I think it works ??

(would love to write this like a historian going through their letters but. that's like 80% worldbuilding T_T which I have zero brain cells for)

I would love to answer this in detail but I'm working on fics that will go into ALL of these headcanons in SO MUCH DEPTH... i'd be here for days trying to tell you all of them. I have to write fanfic to possibly express it all. But I absolutely agree with you about the speed of courtship. I HC that once Mithrun realizes what he wants, he also realizes that Kabru's lifespan is limited, and so he doesn't want to waste a minute, so he moves very fast by elf standards, and that's stressful for him at times because he worries he's going too fast... and it makes him nervous as they jump from one stage of relationship to another because it all feels too sudden to him. How long should they court each other? How extravagant should he allow the courtship to be? He doesn't want to make Kabru feel smothered or overwhelmed, or like he can't compete (Mithrun is very wealthy, he can afford all kinds of gifts, but his favorite thing he owns is a bead bracelet that Kabru made for him by hand.) Once he realizes he wants to marry Kabru how long should he wait before he asks him? How long should they stay engaged before they get married? How long should he wait before he asks if Kabru wants children? And if you want to read about them writing each other letters and falling in love you're in luck, because that's for sure what I'm planning on for the post-canon fic. Mostly just want to get more of the college AU fic ("Show me How...") done first, and also wait for all of the Daydream hour and Complete World Guide stuff to come out first, so I can stick as close to canon as I can. If you want a taste of some of my HCs, the "A (Fairy) Phone Call Between Brothers" fic I wrote is probably going to be set in the same canon as my post-manga Kabumisu fic, so you can consider it a prequel!
