September 14th, Happy Birthday Takahashi!
Takahashi is the surname of Japanese idol and member of Morning Musume's Minimoni group Ai Takahashi. She is related to Hamtaro thanks to a hamster version of the Minimoni called “Minihams”, who perform in the first three Hamtaro movies and have a few animation videos performing the songs too.
Her life as an idol is apparently over, you can investigate on her wikipedia wiki. For this post, however, we will talk about her hamsona.
Takahashi, as a member of the Minihams (Minihamuzu in Japanese), can be considered the calm/neutral member. She acts natural and overall mature, much like Merica
Takahashi's Japanese name is the same one, they use the surname to distinguish her from Ai Kago or Ai~n, another member of the Minihams.
The Minihams have different outfits on the first and second movie than they do in the third one, but they always share the same patterns. However, Takahashi was introduced in the second movie as part of the Mo Hams. The Mo Hams are genies that pop up in the second movie that are based on the Morning Musume group of 2002.
Takahashi was later in Hamtaro's third movie when they introduce the Grand Prix. She takes Yaguchi's role in the team after her graduation between the second and third movie. This is even explained during the third movie when she says that “this is the first time we met, but good for you!” to congratulate Hamtaro on his victory.
Relationships
Takahashi does not appear to have any known relationships or love interests.

They are the ones in charge to introduce Hamtaro and the others about the Guran Purin (Grand Prix) that will decide who keeps Bijou. Will their explanation be sufficient?

1 AM OC REMAKE!
This is Tracy! She's a very bashful and nervous artist-ham who came to Rainbow Land to find inspiration. Tracy is quite a good artist, but is very flustered about sharing it with any other ham.
She is, of course, based on Tracy East. Who was written as the old Sarah’s (Who became Evie’s) Owner. Who somehow thanks to magic could become a Ham-Ham too? Her old design was a ripoff of Mika/Merica from Minihamuzu that I pretty much just copied.
But not content with that I decided to merge her new design with another one, Bella. Who was old Sarah’s Rainbow Girl disguise so she could compete for the Rainbow Land team during the Ham-Ham games.
I couldn’t really re-design Bella with that backstory in mind (I did draw Evie as a rainbow girl so that’s as close as we’ll get), but didn’t want her to go to waste. So combined Bella and Tracy’s aspects into one character

June 17th, Happy Birthday Nonno!
Nonno is the nickname of Japanese idol and member of Morning Musume's Minimoni group Nozomi Tsuji. She is related to Hamtaro thanks to the cartoonized version of the Minimoni called “Minihams”, who perform in the first three Hamtaro movies and have a few animation videos performing the songs too.
Her life as an idol had up and downs much like Ai's, you can investigate on her wikipedia page. For this post, however, we will talk about her hamsona.
Nonno, as a member of the Minihams (Minihamuzu in japanese), can be considered the glutton of the group. She is most prone to be eating something while on stage and in the videos.
The Minihams have different outfits in the first and second movies than they do in the third one, but they always share the same patterns. Nonno's color scheme is purple just like her hair.
Nonno was first introduced in Hamtaro's first movie when she performs live at Ham-Ham Land with her group. In this very shot we can tell how carefree and hilarious her character is built to be.

Nonno does not appear to have any known relationships or love interests.

Along with her friends, she is performing a live concert in Ham-Ham Land’s theater, and introduces herself. Later, she is shown in the night parade cheering on for Hamtaro!

The Mini Hams are visiting Hamujya Kingdom and perform a small concert before Sabakunya interrupts everyone’s joy. They’re friends with the King of the land and take shelter with him.
Movie 3 - Ham-Ham Grand Prix: The Miracle of Aurora Village
The Mini Hams show up one more time to perform their newest song Mirakururun Grand Purin! before and after Hamtaro takes place in the Grand Prix to rescue Bijou.

May 28th, Happy Birthday Merica-chan!
It’s another member of the Minihams birthday and therefore another member of the original Mini Moni’s birthday as well. Let’s give it up for Merica-chan and her human counterpart, Mika Todd!
Merica-chan, is a member of the Minihams (Minihamuzu in Japanese), and is described as the tomboy/cool member. She appears to be more relaxed and cool with the situation than the other Minihams.
Merica-chan’s name is based off the word and country of America. Her voice actress is Mika Todd is from Hawaii so she’s essentially representing her home country.
The Minihams have different outfits on the first and second movie than they do in the third one, but they always share the same patterns. However, Merica-chan is an exception to this rule in which she wears different clothes than the other members. Mari Yaguchi (or Gu-chan in Hamtaro), the first leader of the group, said that this is because Mika is at the height limit for the group of 150cm while everyone else was smaller.
Merica-chan was first introduced in Hamtaro's first movie when she performs live at Ham-Ham Land with her group. In this very shot we can tell how cool she acts.
Merica-chan also seems to be the only member of the group with floppy ears, unusual in most hamsters designs. No other hamster exhibits this trait so this must be a designer decision to make her look more unique, possibly because she’s a foreigner.

February 7th, Happy Birthday Ai~n!
Ai~n is the nickname of Japanese idol and member of Morning Musume's Minimoni group Ai Kago. She is related to Hamtaro thanks to a hammified version of the Minimoni called “Minihamuzu” or the Mini Hams, who perform in the first three Hamtaro movies and have a few animated music videos performing the songs too. Do you remember when the first movie came out and there was a J-Pop girl group called Mini Moni who they made into Ham-Hams? Their band name was Minihamuzu in the movie. I remember watching the music video on the Japanese Hamtaro site. (Way before Youtube lol!)
