Entry Eight: Change
It鈥檚 been two days since we started talking again.
You made me wait four days for you to say something.
It hurt when I thought I lost you to some words on a screen.
It hurt when I thought I lost someone who liked me so much.
It hurts to know that things will not be the same.
I鈥檓 scared to bring it up because I鈥檓 scared of what you鈥檒l say.
All the excuses you make to justify the way you treat me.
I know I shouldn鈥檛 listen to them, I know I shouldn鈥檛 believe them.
It hurts that I do.
It hurts that I care when I know I shouldn鈥檛.
It hurts that I still want you in my life despite the pain you鈥檙e giving me.
I know your excuses. I know they鈥檙e valid.
But since when do excuses justify the neglect you鈥檙e showing me?
I鈥檓 scared. I鈥檓 scared to hurt you even though you don鈥檛 care about hurting me.
I鈥檝e heard your story and what you have to say.
You make it seem like you care, but I just can鈥檛 see it anymore.
