This shot actually hurts me deeply. The twins were so close and I can only imagine how it must have felt to wake up from the haze of the slug to see that you’ve murdered your own brother. I also imagine how their caretaker must have felt (the one we see in the town). They looked to be two of the youngest in the company, you can tell how their deaths affected the rest.

Though, I do believe it was a necessary and fantastic way to set the overall tone of the story. It makes sure the next scene of finding the lost group isn’t too jarring. The colors of the frame mixed with the almost overwhelmingly sad situation makes it feel like the sight of rain while it’s sunny.

The rest of the company taking the time to bury them and pay respects adds another layer of humanity. Even though most of the squad doesn’t get too much character development or actions, it’s moments like these that can tell an entire story if you read through the lines and interpret it on your own.

Modern AU where there's no war, but some things stay a little fucked up.

I think we, as a society, don't do enough with the fact that Azulín and Gordi are fraternal twins.

Them and the Mimosín twins could've had the funniest interactions. Their dynamics are so fundamentally different yet also similar, in a really messed up way.

(Azulín is supposed to be shrugging in the last pic. I just suck at drawing minimal movement.)

Watch Unicorn Wars, btw. Unless you're really sensitive about gore and horror. Then maybe just read a summary.
