AWE, the precision engineering firm based outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has announced the release of their new Catback Exhaust Suite for the ‘23+ Nissan Z.
“This is the system for those who are going for big power. A full 3” T304L Made-In-The-USA catback that has also been tested on track to mate up to downpipes (if you want to get a little spicy upstream). The kits are armed with beefy resonators to keep the tone tight, while still affording a straight-through design for big power,” stated AWE VP Jesse Kramer.

Sebenarnya, knalpot terdiri dari tiga bagian. Pertama adalah header, ujung yang menempel pada mesin. Header ini menempel pada midpipe atau kerap disebut sebagai leher knalpot. Terakhir adalah muffler yang bisa memberikan suara khas.
Setidaknya, ada dua jenis knalpot aftermarket yang beredar di pasaran, yaitu slip-on dan full system. Lantas apa bedanya?
1. slip-on
Slip-on merupakan knalpot aftermarket yang bentuknya hanya muffler saja, dan pemasangannya tetap harus mengandalkan header atau leher knalpot bawaan standar.
2. fullsystem
Sementara full system adalah knalpot yang sudah disertai perangkat keseluruhan mulai dari muffler hingga header, sehingga knalpot bawaan pabrik bisa dilengserkan.

Fub update, Fub (my mr2) exhaust fell off two weeks ago, well it fell off last fall and i kinda jankly welded it back together and my shitty welds gave way a few weeks ago, so I got another unbroken midpipe and put it in her at the same time I replaced the last bad mount on her so no more vibrations! hopefully this is gonna be the last time i have to do a lot of work on her until I do the Turbo conversion which I plan on starting once I graduate next spring
