After playing sly fox Shun in both Second Chance and Glory Days, here I am role playing as our playboy doctor Maki who’s bumped into an ex, desperately trying to avoid history repeating itself again. Well, I’ll say both of them should try harder if that’s what they want but WHAT do they WANT?

The undeniable satisfaction I often received form riling someone up to the point that they got irritated - furious and often spoke back in an aggravated way which showed cased and displayed their true intentions and thoughts had kicked in. This young woman - clearly annoyed by the assumption that I’d made which - at some point - I’m assuming was a truth which hit close to home; had become red in the face. Her teeth grinding as she hissed back strings of in-eloquent phrases I had been expecting. The greatest thing to do - and often the most enjoyable was to simply smile, shrug off the outburst and exit. It didn’t take me long to realize though that someone else had already taken advantage of stepping away.

Glancing around to try and find the man who had earlier, whether he had intended to or not; quickly got my attention; I ended the conversation, argument, disagreement, words being had with the woman more than a few years younger than myself and began my prowling search for what I had suddenly become interested in. Only a few paces away; I was quick to follow Yukihisa - a pant eluding from between my lips as I raced after him and attempted, inconspicuously to catch my breath.

“You’re faster than a thoroughbred —”, I pointed out, unimpressed with the fact that, I for once, was the one chasing after someone - even if a case like this. Catching up to his side, I raised the umbrella; offering to hand it over as we walked side by side by chance to the parking lot I’d left my car earlier in and rolled my eyes in the hopes that the simplistic action would un-glue them from him. Shirt wet and hair messy as a result of the undesirable weather; a sentiment of helplessness evoked from the man I still wasn’t sure if I was happy to have fun into or not.

“You’re going to catch a cold if you stay in that shirt for too long - and you should know that… being a doctor”, I pointed out politely - yet still matter-o-factly, “I’ve got a few spare at my place; and before you make some smart ass comment about me being opportunistic and wanting to see you without a shirt on, consider the offer being spoken to you from an old friend; not a woman whose on the hunt for an orgasm.”

Between the blondes yelling behind our back whose pretty face had already become vague and the panting Midori with an umbrella over my head, my mood had lighten instantly but still reluctant to speak. Not knowing where the conversation would have gone or the underlying threat of regrets if any of it went south because things always do, between us.

The soft beep of car unlocking was just what I needed though, a shelter- getting out of the damn rain. “….Not a woman whose on the hunt for an orgasm.” A chuckle I was desperately trying to hold back escapes me, “Well maybe I am.”

Most part of me knew better than to let such thing slip out of my mouth but that glimpse of shock and the chaotic change of expression on her mildly blushing face was so worth it. I wasn’t entirely joking either, pretty girl, dripping wet and semi see through outfits- a perfect prono plot right there. It would be a shame to let it go to waste, normally, it would but then none of this was normal. Wiping the cold winter rain off my forehead and began settling in her car, I didn’t think twice about what I just said as she eventually got in and stuck the key into the ignition.

I made no attempt to start any conversation, no words no feedback no emotions no fuzz- plain and simple. Keep my eyes shut, change a shirt, smile and say thank you then we will be out of each other’s life again- like how she wanted it, how I got used to it. We are better off as strangers.

If there’s a damn good reason why I’ve always hated history, Midori Page is on top of the list- history tends to repeat itself.

Mới đây, ngày 10/10, Vinhomes New Center (đường Hàm Nghi, thành phố Hà Tĩnh) mở bán toà căn hộ C2. Tòa căn hộ C2 được thiết kế với 25 tầng nổi và một tầng hầm, bao gồm đa dạng các loại hình căn hộ từ studio, căn 1 phòng ngủ đến 3 phòng ngủ, có diện tích từ 27m2 đến 72,3m2.

Cũng trong ngày 10/10, Công ty Cổ phần Greenhill Village tổ chức khởi công tổ hợp khách sạn, biệt thự nghỉ dưỡng và căn hộ du lịch Greenhill Village Quy Nhơn. Dự án có tổng diện tích 16,62 ha, tọa lạc trên tuyến Quốc lộ 1D Quy Nhơn – Sông Cầu (phường Ghềnh Ráng, TP. Quy Nhơn, tỉnh Bình Định). Được biết, dự án có quy mô 500 căn hộ du lịch, 145 căn biệt thự và 5 căn bungalow với tổng mức đầu tư 2.500 tỷ đồng.

Tại Bình Dương, Công ty liên doanh H9BC Investment Company Limited dự kiến khởi công dự án chung cư cao cấp Midori Park The Glory tại thành phố mới Bình Dương vào tháng 12 tới. Được biết, dự án này cao 24 tầng với quy mô 1.000 căn hộ, dự kiến bắt đầu bàn giao vào đầu năm 2023.

Tại Quảng Ninh, cuối tháng 9, Vingroup khởi công xây dựng dự án khu du lịch, dịch vụ, đô thị ven biển Quang Hanh trên diện tích đất hơn 162ha. Dự án nằm trên tuyến đường bao biển nối liền Hạ Long - Cẩm Phả với tầm nhìn ra vịnh Bái Tử Long. Được biết, khu A của dự án được khởi công đầu tiên với tổng diện tích khoảng 32 ha, tổng mức đầu tư hơn 2.930 tỷ đồng

Cũng tại Quảng Ninh, trong quý 4/2020, liên danh Ariyana - Ana Homes sẽ chính thức ra mắt dự án Ariyana Center. Dự án có quy mô 8,91ha với 252 căn shophouse và nhà phố, 35 căn biệt thự tại thị trấn Quảng Hà (huyện Hải Hà, tỉnh Quảng Ninh). Được biết, đây là khu đô thị có hạ tầng đồng bộ với khu vui chơi trẻ em, quảng trường ánh sáng, bể bơi, pool bar, hệ thống gym outdoor… cùng nhiều tiện ích ngoại khu như: trường học, trung tâm y tế, trung tâm thương mại, sân vận động, ngân hàng…

Anh Phạm Văn Sao, một môi giới từng theo làn sóng đầu tư Nam tiến của các nhà đầu tư phía Bắc để bán bất động nghỉ dưỡng ven biển đã quay trở lại miền Bắc hơn một năm nay. Anh cho biết, khoảng hơn 1 năm nay, nhiều nhà đầu tư phía Bắc đã hạn chế đánh bắt xa bờ mà có xu hướng tìm kiếm sản phẩm đầu tư ở chính miền Bắc. Những lần xa bờ ít ỏi của giới đầu tư miền Bắc trong thời gian gần đây hiện tập trung ở những thị trường nghỉ dưỡng mới. Đáng chú ý, một số nhà đầu tư phía Nam là khách hàng cũ của anh Sao cũng quan tâm đến thị trường phía Bắc.

Thừa nhận điều này, ông Tuấn, giám đốc kinh doanh một sàn giao dịch tại Hà Đông, cho biết rất nhiều nhà đầu tư phía Bắc từng lặn lội đánh bắt xa bờ ở TP.HCM, Đà Nẵng, Nha Trang (Khánh Hòa), Phú Quốc hiện đang tìm sản phẩm đầu tư ở chính vùng đất phía Bắc thay vì những cuộc “viễn chinh” xa xôi. Tại các tỉnh phía Bắc, họ có xu hướng tìm kiếm sản phẩm ở các thị trường tỉnh do nguồn cung của Hà Nội khan hiếm và mặt bằng giá cũng đã thiết lập mức cao. Ngoài ra, một số thị trường nghỉ dưỡng mới như Phú Yên, Bình Thuận, Bình Định… cũng nằm trong “điểm ngắm”.

Ông Nguyễn Văn Đính, Tổng Thư kí Hội Môi giới Bất động sản Việt Nam cho biết, giá bất động sản TP.HCM và Hà Nội tăng cao khiến nhà đầu tư đang tìm kiếm những thị trường mới để đầu tư. Đơn cử, tại TP.HCM, do khan hiếm nguồn hàng mới, giá bán căn hộ quý 3/2020 tăng mạnh từ 15-20% so với quý 2/2020. Và cũng bởi khan hiếm nguồn hàng dự án nên nhiều nhà đầu tư phải tìm đến đất nền tại các huyện ven đô, tạo ra sự tăng giá mạnh cho đất đai tại một số huyện như: Bình Chánh, Gò Vấp, Củ Chi… Hiện mức giá tại đây dao động từ 30-50 triệu đồng/m2, tăng từ 10-15%. Do đó, làn sóng dịch chuyển đầu tư đến các thị trường mới là tất yếu.

Đồng quan điểm, ông Nguyễn Quốc Anh, Phó Tổng giám đốc Batdongsan.com.vn cho biết ở phương diện nhà đầu tư nhỏ lẻ, trong những năm qua, nhiều nhà đầu tư phía Bắc đã Nam tiến, đổ tiền vào TP.HCM và các thị trường giáp ranh TP.HCM. Chính làn sóng này cộng hưởng với những yếu tố tiềm năng, nội lực sẵn có đã khiến giá nhà tại TP.HCM và một số tỉnh thành chạm mức cao. Sau khi giá nhà ở khu vực này đã tăng cao, dư địa tăng giá không còn lớn, các nhà đầu tư đang có xu hướng quay trở về quê hương, nơi mà mặt bằng giá thấp so với các thị trường “xa bờ” họ “đánh bắt”. Theo ông Quốc Anh, trong quý cuối năm, khu vực miền Bắc và Hà Nội sẽ có lượng quan tâm tăng trưởng tốt hơn thị trường miền Nam và khu vực TP.HCM.

Actress Diedre Bollinger and playwright/director Carl Ritchie have been collaborating on theatre in Columbia County for the past ten years, ever since Ritchie cast Bollinger in Tom Ziegler’s Grace and Glorie at the Copake Grange when he was running the Copake Theatre Company. Once he launched the Taconic Stage Company and began presenting his own original musical reviews, Bollinger became an hilarious mainstay of the company – performing riotous numbers in I Know I Came In Here for Something and The Real Desperate Housewives of Columbia County.

“Everyone raves about how funny Diedre has been in my revues. This role will allow people to see her in an emotionally charged dramatic role,” said Ritchie, who has cast Bollinger as Zelda Fitzgerald in William Luce’s one-woman show The Last Flapper, which will be presented August 19, 20, 25, 26 & 27 at St. John in the Wilderness Church in Copake Falls.

Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald (1900-1948) was a talented and troubled writer, painter, and dancer who married F. Scott Fitzgerald in 1920, a few months shy of her 20th birthday. Scott Fitzgerald was already a celebrity following the successful publication of his first book, This Side of Paradise, the previous year. Scott and Zelda’s life was a very public one, marked as much by wild partying as by his success, and Zelda’s artistic efforts were both overshadowed by Scott’s and thwarted by both of their alcoholism.

“I am not an expert on Zelda Fitzgerald,” Bollinger began, “But I know she was very, very creative. She said that she and Scott didn’t ruin each other, they each ruined themselves. They each had their own demons. In this play she comes off to me as very passionate, fiercely intelligent and independent person and I want and hope to do her justice. She was a fascinating person who deserves to be recognized in her own right.”

“The play is beautifully written and much of it is taken from Zelda’s own writing,” Ritchie noted. “Zelda published novels and stories, was a gifted painter, and, even though she took up dance in her late 20’s, received an offer to join the San Carlo Opera Ballet Company in Naples, Italy, which she declined.”

Luce’s play is set on the last day of Zelda’s life, March 10, 1948, when she was a patient in the Highland Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, where she had been institutionalized on and off since 1936. She was locked into her room, contemplating the unpleasant possibility of electroshock therapy, but she was not terminally ill and had no inkling death was imminent. She and eight other women died that night as a result of a fire in the hospital kitchen.

“Her death was tragic, and what she went through in her life was very dramatic,” Bollinger explained. “But this is not a dirge. There is a lot of lightness and humor throughout the play.”

“Diedre is so accessible as an actress and always spot on emotionally,” Ritchie said. “I can ask for any tiny movement or vocal inflection and she remembers everything and executes it perfectly. Her performance is just so touching.”

The admiration is mutual. “Carl has created a very safe place for me to work and to try things,” Bollinger explained. “I’ve had some directors with whom this would have been a terrifying process. With Carl I have had the freedom to discover who Zelda is.”

“Diedre is just a whirlwind of creative energy,” Ritchie said. “I sometimes have to rein in the tornado and redirect the gusts, but this collaboration works well for both of us.”

“This has been a delightful process so far,” Bollinger said. She and Ritchie were speaking during a break in rehearsals. “I shamelessly want to be in everything Carl writes and directs. This is a great switch from our musical comedy work.”

Ritchie has presented several one- or two-person plays at St. John over the nine years.

“St. John is a beautiful little gothic revival church designed in the 1850’s by Richard Upjohn who was famous for designing Trinity Church in New York City, “Ritchie explained. “It is right on the edge of Taconic State Park, across the street from the Depot Deli, at the base of the walking trail. The place is just beautiful inside and out.”
