For the @mi6-cafe monthly challenge, "you MAY choose your own adventure," I'm doing "Palm Tree ― Make a rec list (at least 3 works) based on a trope you enjoy."
So without further ado, may I present a list of some of my favorite fics based on one of my favorite tropes, James Bond taking care of Q. 🥰 In no particular order:
When the Morning Light Explodes by Mlle_Heloise. A perfect example of a sickfic, and also introduced me to one of my new favorite songs!
Please Ask (for Help) by @samanthahirr. One of my all time favorite fics ever. The slow burn pining while Bond helps Q recover from an injury is just ::chef's kiss::.
then that's what we will have to do by @mr-iskender. Fluff? by Alex??? more likely than you might think! I adore this piece, featuring Bond taking care of an exhausted Q so incredibly much. Also features one of my favorite examples of the "miscommunication/misunderstanding" trope ever.
Where You Are by dhampir72. Another one of my very favorite sickfics ever. The tenderness in this one is everything. Mind the tags, but don't worry about the fact that the fic looks like it's unfinished based on the chapter count--IMHO, it ends in a perfect place.
The Cumulative Effects of Dining In with One's Quartermaster by @dassandre-00qpidsarrow. This fic also features an exhausted/hungry/overworked Q, and it is so gentle and lovely and kind and everything you could possibly want. I love it so much.

First Fest: Day 31
As the clock ticks toward midnight it seems fitting to post one last time on the last day I can post in my first 007 Fest.
It's been a wonderful month, an inspiring and heart-full month.
Blown away by the creativity, determination, and talent in this fandom. What a pleasure to be part of the process as new work appeared. What a treat to see continuations in some of my favorite AUs and WIPs, and to discover new authors and artists.
Overwhelmed as the days went on by the number of chapters and works and art and posts and chats and events... took a deep breath and remembered that the point is celebration and connection. It will all be there tomorrow.
Next year - who knows where we'll all be, but I plan to be here, with you, concocting and collaborating. I plan to be (hope to be) more prepared, with somethings planned. After all I just got a whole set of all the movies, and there's a whole year of fun and fic and fandom to be had. Sirena LaChatte is just getting started.
Delighted and grateful for the welcome, the support, the interactions in all sorts of ways and places. Thank you @3nigm4art and all the #teambondvillains - loved hanging out in the lair with you. Thank you to everyone who hosted watch parties and events. Thank you so very much to the Fest mods.

My slightly spooky 4th week entry for MI6 Last Drabble Writer Standing 2023.
Prompt: "My reflection just blinked at me." 100 words
“Q? Any hallucinogens in dinner?” asked Bond.
“No?”
“My reflection just blinked at me.”
“Just a glitch,” said Q impatiently. “Pay it no mind.”
:SESSION RESET:
Bond brushed his teeth, but his reflection did not.
It nodded meaningfully toward the door.
“Q?” he asked, “Did you swap your mirror for a monitor without telling me?”
“Fuck,” Q cursed, “That reset should have worked.”
:SYSTEM RESET:
Bond frowned at the mirror.
His reflection was mouthing words.
Not real. This isn’t real.
“Q,” asked Bond, “what’s going on?”
“I’m sorry James,” said Q from behind him as the mirror shattered.
