Hildewilde’s been back on her bullshit. i’m still a baby HR5 because i was playing ark for so long XD
BUT, i’ve been bullying some monsters, cleaning out villager quests, slowly ticking quests from the queue. ya know how it is.
All i can say though, is that this kill screen makes me feel REALLY SORRY for the tigrex. dying to a hunting horn golfswing’s gotta be.... skull splitting >:D
that said, i think my pupper got caught up in the swing...

I just found out the reason my ps4 controller keeps disconnecting at random is because it has a faulty battery...
It never crossed my mind that the battery was the problem. I foregoed playing MH:Rise on controller bc it kept disconecting. I played the entirety of LoP with the acceptance that the controller would just disconnect at random (specifically it was when it rumbled in response to perfect blocks. Had to turn off the rumble feature).
The controller has been like this for over a year and it never occured to me "maybe the battery is fucked".
#talking out loud#for extra context my pc doesnt have bluetooth capabilities so I always have my controller connected.#i thought the problem was the usb port or the cable#i am so slow#i feel so silly in the not fun way

I really have to reconvince myself that I like playing Monster Hunter again now too, huh?? 😭 I found out recently that I've been using the one weapon I like "wrong" and now am overthinking how I play, and getting my ass beat while doing it, and it is just not as fun as I remember when World came out (MH:Rise is a blast, don't get me wrong, it's everything else going on WHILE trying to play Rise that's getting to me)

The explosion in your MH:Rise video was because you had a Lanternbug! They give you a small additional "health" bar and they explode when struck, both protecting you and usually dealing a tiny bit of damage to the monster :D
