ok so we all know tfa bee is a bit of a attention whore, and from what I've seen tfa mea is a shy boi. So my question is what will Tfa bee do to gain mea's attention and how will the shy boi react?

Most of the time Mea's at his job as a mechanic (he's working full-time after dropping out of college) so Bumblebee goes to hang out there.

When he wants Mea's attention and the dude is under a car, he'll just snatch him lmao

Hey, everyone! Here's a fic I wrote for my buddy @asimp4bee! It features Bumblebee and Mea! Enjoy!

Baby Steps

Warnings: None

Word Count: 805

It was a cold, silent night inside the Autobot base. There were no kids and half of the crew were asleep. Within the walls of his hab-suite, Bumblebee recharged peacefully with his optics closed shut and his servos at his sides. He rested on his back with his door wings pressed to the berth. Although he didn’t flinch or move in his sleep, he occasionally produced little beeps here and there. Mea wondered about his dreams. Cybertronians had dreams, didn’t they?

She sighed, pulling her knees to her chest. She was quiet but plaintive, not wanting to disturb him with her troubles. After brushing the brown hair out of her face, however, she frowned. It was past midnight, and Mea couldn’t sleep. Well, not yet. She did sleep earlier, but she was eventually forced awake due to a horrendous nightmare. Even now, thirty minutes later, her muscles were tense and her eyes still watered.

She inhaled a shaky breath of air and sniffled.

Mea remembered her friend, a Cybertronian whom she considered a brother to her. When he was murdered in front of her by the Decepticons, nothing was ever quite the same without him. Her nightmares were constant, and more often than not, they kept her awake for hours.

Mea shuddered, rocking herself to the wall behind her. She was tired, but she attempted to remain strong. Tears trickled down her cheeks as she reached for her blanket. Although soft, it wasn’t enough to quell the misery in her heart.

After glancing at Bumblebee, she realized that she couldn't linger in one spot. Not anymore.

Carefully, Mea stood and made her way over towards his berth. Like a kitten, she climbed and crawled into his arms. She was gentle and cautious as she settled against his yellow and black frame. Once she was in a comfortable position, Mea rubbed her cheek against his warm metal and exhaled.

She waited, refusing to close her eyes. Mea didn’t shift, but Bumblebee certainly did. In a matter of moments, he stirred with a whirring sound and blinked at her. His cyan optics were soft and bright, illuminating the area around her. He beeped at her, questioning her.

“Yeah,” Mea’s shoulders lowered, “I can’t sleep.”

Bumblebee tilted his helm.

“Bweep?”

Mea nodded.

“Yeah. Another nightmare.”

Again, Bumblebee buzzed, sadly and sympathetically this time. With gentle motions, he changed his position until the two were more at ease. Mea’s stomach pressed to his chest, her arms and legs cuddling his larger form. She hummed, her tender eyes gazing into his own. Another series of chirps emitted from him, and Mea understood him. Somewhat.

“No. I don’t want to talk about it,” she sighed, looking away from him, “not now.”

Bumblebee nodded. Really, she appreciated him. He never pressured her into talking about her nightmares. She wasn’t ready, but at the same time, she tried her very best, and that was all that mattered. Bumblebee was a patient mech, comforting her and respecting her whenever it was possible. As much as she wanted to tell him about her dreams, she hated the mere thought of vulnerability, even with her partner. Nonetheless, he loved her anyway, as she loved him.

All it took were baby steps.

Slowly, the Cybertronian’s servo rested on her back. Knowing his strength, he didn’t apply any pressure whatsoever. Through her clothes, he stroked her spine. Mea leaned into his touch, gradually drawing herself closer to his faceplate. He beeped at her, prompting her to sit on his plating.

“Yeah, I know. I need my sleep, but so do you.” She frowned, pointing at him. “Sleep, Bee. I’ll just…stay here.”

Bumblebee pouted, deciding to fuss at her.

“Bweep! Bweep!”

Mea sighed.

“No, Bee. Just…go back to bed.”

But the young mech was undeterred.

“Beep! Beep! Bweeep?”

Mea shrugged her shoulders, coming to an agreement.

“Okay. How about we’ll both fall asleep when we’re ready?”

When Bumblebee smiled at her, she couldn’t help but smile in return. With two servos around her rear, he pulled her closer to his helm. His digit hovered over the relic on her chest before brushing against her scars. Mea tilted her head back and exhaled so sweetly, cherishing his warm touch.

“Thanks, babe.”

Bumblebee knew how self-conscious she was about the marks on her skin, so he tended to give them attention as much as he could. It flustered her every time, and there were no words to describe how adored she felt.

Once she was brought to his faceplate, he nuzzled her chest. Mea gasped at the feeling and hugged his helm close. Bumblebee whirred into her, closing his optics as his servos safely curled around her.

“Beep.”

After hearing the sweet reminder, Mea grinned, rubbing her cheek against his as the night drew on.

“Yeah, Bee. I love you too.”
