8-17-16 Kitchen 305
All You Can Eat Lobster!
Originally, this post was going to be jumbled into the next one, but screw it, two posts it is! There are so many great food things that I did in 2016 and I really need to force myself to find the time to write and share my experiences. I can and will do better to get this done.
Tonight was the second time I went to Kitchen 305 and both times has been absolutely delicious. After a long day at work, I met up with 3 of my co-workers and we went to town on some all you can eat lobster. As we sat at our table and ordered our dinner, things started off nice and slow as usual and we were given our soup/salad and first course of lobster. Along with that came sides of corn on the cob, potatoes, and of course plenty of butter. I quickly ate down plate after plate and I was thoroughly enjoying that delicious lobster smothered in butter. For others, they found it was a little too much work, but to me, that is all experience, getting in there with your hands.
After eating around 9 lobsters, the waiter began to express concerns for my well being. When I asked for more lobster, he told me that there is a lot of sodium and that it is dangerous to eat so much, but I insisted that he bring more lobster for me. With each additional request for more lobster, he would continue to stress the sodium level in the amount of food I consumed and began to say “don’t blame me if you don’t wake up tomorrow.” I wasn’t going to let this guy stop me from eating to my absolute consent, so I kept ordering and putting down food.
Once I was working on the 13th lobster, others needed to leave so they paid their checks and made their way out. Me on the other hand, I just wanted more food to shovel into my mouth. We didn’t see him come back for a bit (I assumed he thought we were done when the others made their leave) but I waited patiently. Once he finally came back I asked for more food. He expressed his concerns once again and asked “how much more do you want?” I told him I wanted 5 more and he almost fell over in shock, but sure enough, he brought me 5 more lobsters. While I could have eaten another lobster or two, I was satisfied enough with the amount of food I consumed and made my exit shortly after finishing my food. It was once again a pleasant night full of fun and food.
8-13-16 Paintball! and  ROK Korean BBQ
Tumblr media
The local paintball field I play at has been renovating and today I got a chance to see the brand new air filled bunkers in the speed ball field. Looking good, can’t wait to play! To be completely honest, I don’t even remember much about what went on today. I’m sure I have some gopro videos, but I believe my gun was giving me trouble and didn’t make for a much of a great day of playing. Either way, I ran around a lot and enjoyed myself.

All I needed to hear was ALL YOU CAN EAT and I was sold on the idea for Korean BBQ. Before I get too far into the food talk, I want to reflect back on one of my previous posts. I mentioned that I had gone to a big family reunion, but I never really got into much detail about what happened. I guess at the time, it was mostly some small talk and a whole lot of eating, but from there a bunch of us added each other as Facebook friends. We kept in touch and talked about food and fishing (I went fishing with my cousin in my last post) and today I met up with my cousin’s wife and her cousin (which was essentially my cousin too) and we had dinner at ROK, an all you can eat Korean BBQ restaurant. Being in touch and meeting up was a start to so many great things to come, which you will see in future posts. A life changer that I almost wimped out on, which hopefully I learnt my lesson. Ok, back to the food!

I don’t normally have a big appetite after a long day of running around and doing activities, but that by no means stopped me from eating lots of food today. We ordered one of each meat dish, which included: chicken thighs, pork belly, diced pork, thin cut beef, and beef short ribs. While all of the food was tasty, those beef short ribs were sooooo good. After eating all of the food we had, it was just nonstop refills of beef ribs.

Plate after plate after plate, it was extremely delicious. At some point, I got bored of meat with meat and more meat, so I started to order bowls of just lettuce.
8-14-16 John U Lloyd and Teppanyaki Buffet
Tumblr media
I met up with my cousins again at the beach and swam around a bit, even though it was a little chilly in the water. It’s always relaxing to make a trip to the ocean and today was just another nice day.

After everyone else left, I went for a walk on the jetty to just admire the area.

For dinner, I met up with my cousins and their two children (my nieces) at Teppanyaki Buffet. I usually don’t do back to back all you can eat, but ohhhhh well. Things started off like any normal trip to a buffet, eating plates of food and enjoying the company. This was the first time I really interacted with my nieces, so they were a bit shy and didn’t say much or interact with me. I don’t really blame them though, here goes this new guy they don’t know just eating down piles and piles of food. After a good amount of eating, the older of the two commented on my eating abilities and we started to poke at each other and eventually she started to try and feed me. The younger one quickly caught on and started to mess around with me as well. All of us had a lot of fun and I ate a ridiculous amount of food (as usual....) which my nieces never forgot. This whole weekend was a start to a lot of great memories to come.
