new♡gen redesings!

so, this is the final result!

it's waayyy too early to be excited about the launching of the game (since there's no date for it yet), however i couldn't let go of this idea so i went w it lol

about the characters, i gave each of them some headcanons, like devon being the artistic one—the kind of boss who actually puts care into his workers. i've been imagining that genoveva (i think thats the name of the new MC) meets him in sucrette's coffee shop before her first day at job, so when she arrives to the office and meets him she's shocked not only he's her co-worker, but none other than the founder and boss of the company.

roy's a himbo. he's one of those guys who is so attractive you don't even realize he's actually pretty funny (lol). loves wearing crop-tops and defines his own style as 'genderless'. chaotic bisexual. cried watching JJK.

amanda is a cruel, hot mean lesbian who wont hesitate if you mess with her, but soft-spoken once you get to know her and realize that her interests are the cutest.

if you can count don't count on him—thomas is the youngest. trans and very likely aroace, he might be one of my favorite now. i loved drawing him on a skirt, which he wears as an accessory! he's all punk rock, messy hair, chipped nail polish and revolution.

jason takes care of a stray kitty, who won't be a stray much longer. pale, sickly looking man who knows just enough about you to make you suspect that he's been following you. the patch of white hair is a genetic condition.

Everyone meet Petronilla! My MCL New Gen MC!!

This is the best I could do so far, I still have to play episode 2 but don't worry, I already planned a big, honest review of EVERYTHING! I spent the evenig with Thomas, so I don't know whether the dialogue changes on different routes or not.

This is my Devon 'redesign'

in fact, I just made some changes but he looks like a new character 🗣🗣🗣

the coat shouldn't be so bright it's just that I was tired so I did anything

I've changed his hairstyle

I narrowed his eyes

Underneath, Devon is wearing long sleeve shirt

(although he would look gorgeous on black or purple satin too)

he could wear linen pants or even tailoring would look good

I removed glasses

cuz I don't know how to draw it, idc

I added rings

I had put on a silver chain but I thought it was too informal, so I removed it

The look is monochromatic, but I can easily see it in off white too

Some redesign ideas for our new LIs (part 1/5)

Like many people, I was quite disappointed by the look of our new crushes. The outfits are a bit dated and don't really compliment the characters. And even if I agree that we are not all obliged to be on the cutting edge of fashion, I think that a little more effort could have been made to at least have more timeless looks. I hope that the team is taking into account the different comments made by the fans about the characters' appearances. They seem to be taking our feedbacks a little more seriously than on CL and LL, so I thought why not contribute with some quick moodboards for each character.

(I'm not an artist, but if anyone ever wants to sketch these ideas, I'd really like to see them.)

Devon, is none other than the founder and boss of Devenementiel. He appears as a pleasant and friendly person, with a little quirky touch that makes all his charm. But it's a whole other story once you see him in the line of duty. Indeed, Devon loves nothing more than winning challenges, and he is extremely effective when he gets down to it. However, reconciling work and love is a challenge that he does not seem to have succeeded to date.

Besides a messy color palette, Devon's outfit doesn't really reflect the few elements we know of his personality. Described as an approachable character with a touch of quirkiness, we really don't get that feeling from his overly tight suit. Knowing that we work in the event industry, and moreover in a start-up environment, I think that Beemoov would have shown our CEO very well in a more casual outfit. This would also help to add an even greater contrast between him and his rival Jason, who looks a bit more like the conventional CEO we are used to see in romance games/fictions.

For his everyday look :

Colorful loose cotton or linen shirt

Sleeves always rolled up because it helps him to concentrate better while working

Pants in a casual cut for more comfort

Maybe some crazy socks ?

Sneakers : could easily see him as a collectionneur.

When he needs to wear something a bit more formal for a client meeting or else :

Colorful costumes in flowing fabrics so he stays comfortable during tough negotiations.

Wears a t-shirts or jumper to break with the strict look of his suits

Sneakers or moccasins for a more dandy look

I haven't gone through his hair and accessories, even though they could also be improved. But what do you guys think ? Any other ideas ?

so after seeing the LIs for MCL NG I'm kinda interested into playing it, despite me preferring fantaisy settings over real world settings, so I've decided to post my thoughts about them !

Devon :

so I'm not into bosses, but I must say he does looks nice and welcoming, I genuinely don't know what it is with those that calls him ugly, he might not be my type but to say he's ugly is completely far fetched, I think he has some charm nonetheless.

Amanda :

again, she's not exactly my type as I'm not into rich preppy women but she's really cute ! she seems hard working as well tho I'm not sure about her personality traits, I just hope she's not one of those that look down on people and judge them, but I might be wrong. also I'm pleasantly surprised that she's a plus size, that makes her even cuter !

Thomas :

I've only played AL and HSL's first episode so I had no idea he was a child that appeared back then, but I must say he got me intrigued, like he's a very intelligent man who has trouble with human interactions, what's not to like ? also he's ginger and seems to have a rocker look, like he could be listening to stuff like Porcupine Tree (and I mean that as a compliment), give him longer hair and you'll have my type, I just hope he's not one that's too arrogant towards those he feels not as intelligent as him, otherwise he could be my second route.

Roy :

now THIS is what caught my full intention ! I mean look at him ! he's handsome, he's energetic, he's nice, he's passionate about water activities, he seems to be Native American and HE HAS LONG HAIR ??? this man is my type and while he's completely out of my league I'm excited to play his route !

Now that I finally met all the love interests in New Gen I want to hear from you guys, which one are you going for??

Personally I'm very thorn between Jason and Amanda... Enemies to Lovers is my favorite trope and I love how stupidly smug and purposefully annoying Jason is, we could be a match made into heaven hell, I could roast the shit out of him and I'm sure he would love that since he's a weirdo but on the other side Amanda is so perfect and in-character for Petronilla that I don't know what to do... I would say something like "should I follow my heart or Petronilla's?" but then again my heart is also obsessed with Amanda so I really don't know what to do, I'll have to go back and forth with them like I did with Nathaniel and Lysander (before picking Nathaniel) 😭🙏

Also before anyone asks why I don't make a second account: I can't keep up with two, also I wouldn't want to end up spending money on two different accounts, I think I'll keep playing the story and see who wins me over and, eventually, I'll replay the whole story with whoever I ended up not choosing
