xeno’d blade 3 general thoughts wooo
-very cool main cast loved every single character
-it’s been a long time since sidequests actually felt meaningful in a game
-i miss the unique area themes,,,,I know they went for atmosphere on purpose but I guess the battle themes make up for it
-combat system excellent awesome super super fun best one yet
-the voice acting!!!! good lord noah’s va has Range o(-<
-story uhhhh. thoughts pending i’m not sure yet

-since the last game I played with a romance subplot was tales of arise I feel like noahmio fell short of my expectations but I still got emotional when they kissed :’) maybe I just need to watch the cutscenes again?? idk
though tbf they’re the best-written romantic pair in the blade trilogy so they have that going for them-
(i like that sena and lanz parted on deep friendship terms and weren’t really implied to be romantically interested in each other. and eunie/taion is cute but if anything i’m partial to taion/lanz. the high five scene got me ú-ù)
-I didn’t expect to like mio more than noah either. noah felt like he was Just Some Guy and I kept waiting for something to happen that...never did
I think it’s because noah was already exposed to the concept of choice before becoming ouroboros, even though he didn’t know what it meant at the time. his “arc” is just him coming to understand what crys told him, but he doesn’t have any kind of significant development/change in character as a result. besides learning what love is, I guess? but that’s subtle (outside of his distress in ch5)
and I’m not saying a protagonist who’s already mostly set in their ideals can’t be compelling (kazuma kiryu, yuri lowell, to name a couple), but noah doesn’t have any outstanding characteristics besides wanting to compose his own tunes (which doesn’t even really come up after he mentions it while introducing himself). beyond that he’s self-conscious at times and he likes helping people. very generic traits. he doesn’t tease people/his friends often but I sort of wish he did it more bc it made him more charming
also the game presents noah as the main main protagonist of the two but honestly. mio was really the protagonist all along and if noah didn’t have the sword he really would’ve just been some guy who happened to be at the right place at the right time
anyway main party ranking taion > mio, eunie, lanz > sena, noah
-i wish overworld banter wasn’t just 2 lines. there were so many opportunities for dialogue to continue/involve other characters and it just felt weird when the 2nd line would be a question that went unanswered
-I’m glad that none of the battle themes were bad; the ones that I felt neutral about at first grew on me over time
-i probably have thoughts about N and M but in general i felt like N wasn’t given enough time to accept noah. like it seemed kinda. rushed?? idk if that was just me though

I dont know how to make an oc post. I have been cataloging the events of my epic as fuck agent tho and I have (bad) images. this is long as fuck so under a read more it goes
also keep in mind my friend who's playing the game (@octopus-propaganda <- this neat fella) is only on like. day 21 iirc
also also the context is mudkip (aka manager M) started playing lobcorp and thought it'd be funny to put their friends in the game. I agreed of course. other friends exist too but I got way too invested and we pretty much took over a server channel with our bs. and I've been like. rping the agent pretty much the brainrot is bad
LobCorp Agent Prinny
-originally from info, currently works in safety
-magic bullet seems to be the mainstay ego
-currently only has the solitude ego gift, which might soon be replaced with justicia
-very casual and kinda sassy with manager cuz they "know they're the favorite" (also kinda self absorbed, believing they're manager's favorite and best employee)
-under regular circumstances they come off as kinda... unhinged. but they can lock IN if there's a proper threat
-takes defending the safety department very seriously (hence the Draconian Defender title)
-also why theyre usually sent out solo to handle any ordeal that enters the safety department, which is dealt with very quickly (and with many clerk deaths)
-acts really cool to new employees and hypes themself up as a trustworthy and cool and more experienced agent to go to with problems
-the only one who can handle working with judgement bird (hence the possibility of justicia gift soon)
-aware of more than they let on, maybe more than they're supposed to know (this is what I call "I finished the game and have very bad self restraint")
-has an irrational hatred of a random employee from training named Jacob. due to a lucky abnormality assignment he has better overall stats, and is currently the only agent that can wield justicia. he wields it despite being on the opposite side of the facility and having never heard the name judgement bird before, while they have toiled daily with this bird and bonded deeply to it, hence their immense jealousy and thus hatred of Jacob
Incident Reports:
-took over control that one time since manager wasn't able to properly contain scorched girl with the control team at the time
-an abnormality that cannot be seen, which at the time we could not identify (later we named it "dimensional refraction variant") escaped and went rampaging. they for once left their department, chasing the non-entity through every single upper layer department, killing all of the clerks as they themself ran amok to kill this unseen foe. eventually the beast lay dead at their feet, but the casualties were so great that the manager had to reset to the memory repository. yet this moment of heroicism will not be forgotten, and many tales will be told of this hunt

Part 2 - Snowdin and the Amalgamate
[[strap in folks, this is gonna be long]]
As soon as you leave the ruins, you are confronted with a subversion of the cutscene in which Sans approaches you for the first time in Undertale. This time, you're the one stalking him. When you reach his sentry station, an encounter starts. He is unaware of your presence. One thing that strikes you about him is that his battle sprite is still black and white and is in Undertale's lower resolution.
-(PACIFIST RUN)-
You pat sans on the shoulder, he says "how many times do I have to tell you to keep your paws off my bones?" before turning around. he is briefly startled. he summons 10 Gaster blasters, but then regains his composure. "heh...ah ah. nah." The blasters disappear. "not even gonna give you the satisfaction." he winks and leaves the battle.
You can find him at his sentry station, where he says he doesn't really have anything to do since the anomaly (aside from overseeing the operations in the ruins) and he can finally relax. Flowey pops out and greets Sans, causing him to flinch again: “i can’t make the same joke twice. so, uh. I’m going to grillby’s”.
[[Going into the forest, you’d encounter monsters I showcased in the snowdin pack. Not much to explain since that pack gave a very in depth look at monsters and group encounter dynamics.I guess I should explain the amalgamate somewhat.]]
The Amalgamate, an amalgamate of all amalgamates, is loose in the forest and will appear as a random encounter. It’s unkillable; only way to end the encounter is fleeing. They always attack first.

There's not much else to the area as most monsters are afraid of leaving their home in fear of encountering the Amalgamate. Firedrake being the exception as they recognize him as their son, as well as their son's friends as, well...friends (Jerry not included).

Snowdin Town is lively as ever. As soon as you get there you experience a cutscene showing the D.O.G.S. returning and a casually dressed Asgore asking them if they have any news of Toriel. Dog duo replies that the explosion that engulfed the Ruins was centered on Toriel’s home. Asgore thanks them and leaves for Grillby's, defeated.
Overworld npcs are fairly similar as they couldn't absorb Frisk's soul. Some shed some more light on the world and events. You learn that Papyrus has left for the capital as he is now second in command of the Demon Squad, the institution that replaced the Royal Guard. Also, more info on the ruins disaster: Asgore left New Home in search of Toriel as soon as he received news of the disaster, which allowed Undyne and Alphys to take over the Capital and proclaim themselves as new rulers. Spoder has followed you out of the ruins, and comments on how fresh the air is, something they had seemingly never felt.
Sans leaves his sentry station and can be found in his home as well as Grillby's. He won't leave these 2 places ever and has a few 4th wall breaks where he asks if you are expecting him to follow you around, but makes it clear he wants nothing to do with you. He also informs Asgore has been living in his home. Talking to Asgore reveals that while he and Sans had never been friends, they've grown a lot closer since the ruins disaster. You can find him at Sans's home later, where he wishes he'd let him sleep in Papyrus's room instead of the couch, but makes it clear he's not complaining and he's glad he found someone who doesn't think he's worthless. He also tells you he's afraid of harming you because he killed countless humans, one of them just a week before you showed up. The Royal Guard was disappointed in learning he didn't have the strength to absorb the human souls, freeing them instead. He was overthrown without even resisting.

Talking to Flowey, he would tell you that, as much as he enjoyed messing with him, he hates seeing Asgore down and that maybe he would be happier if they met; even if he knows he won’t feel anything in return. However he’s afraid of what he might say. You can encourage him to do so, after which you can watch an optional cutscene in which Flowey reveals his real identity to Asgore. His first reaction is disbelief, but then as he realizes Flowey is really Asriel, he is overtaken by Joy. He hugs the flower disregarding the thorns. “After all this time, I started to give up. I forgot there’s more to life than...loss.” Asgore says, tears in his eyes. Flowey asks if he doesn’t care that he’s in a different form now, but Asgore shakes his head.
After the moment is over, Flowey tells you that maybe the soul in his possession has allowed him to feel again. He thanks you for believing in him and giving him a second chance after what he did in the ruins (you obtain his memento item). Sans barges in and there’s a funny sitcom bit where he hates flowey but doesn’t want to hurt his old, grieving boss’s feelings. [[i just made this part up i thought it would be funny]]
If you try to leave for Waterfall, Sans will block your way. "maybe I've been too harsh on you. you're not a human, are you? i can feel it in your soul. damn. you're...them. i never thought i'd see the day. in front of you lies a path of pain, death and darkness. but you have to be strong. just...please go easy on my brother. he doesn't understand what he's doing."
"and another thing... r u n ."
-BOSS: THE AMALGAMATE (pacifist)-
The amalgamate charges at you, using multiple attacks at once. The only way forward is to run (akin to Undyne's pacifist battle in UT). After a few turns, they will be slowed down by the blizzard, at which point they'll give up. You're free to leave for Waterfall.
-BOSS END-
-(GENOCIDE RUN)-
You stab sans in the back. He staggers forward. "father...we did it" are his last words, before vanishing into dust.
In genocide, there is not much to do. The Amalgamate will come to rescue firedrake and his friends, at which point you'll have to run. The only way to complete the route, however, is to spare no one, so if you proceed without killing them, The Shadow will appear and end you.
Snowdin is deserted. If you head east, you'll find Asgore blocking your path. "Sans and I were supposed to meet at Grillby's 10 minutes ago. He is never late. He told me not to confront anyone but...killing is the only thing I know how to do. Whatever you are...prepare yourself."
-BOSS: ASGORE AND AMALGAMATE-

Asgore uses similar attacks as his UT battle. However, after a few turns, a loud, distorted howl interrupts the fight. Amalgamate joins in. "Are you here to rub salt in the wound?" "Or...YOU! What have you done to the children?! YOU...YOU DEMON!" Amalgamate and Asgore attack in sync. However the old monster is no match for Wally. "Sans...I should have listened." he turns into dust. You can then run away from the fight.
-BOSS END-
Amalgamate will keep following you into the snowstorm area. With a single ice spell, you can freeze them allowing you to shatter them, killing the abomination for good. You can then proceed to Waterfall.

(heavily inspired by Criminal Minds, Sherlock, Detective Conan and the like so 😂) I have a really vivid and good imagination please i can spend DAYS just daydreaming and imagining scenarios that I never finish writing about & generally this is how all my work is never finished loll
I'm the eldest sibling at home, and my parents haven't always been around so I've been rather used to stepping up and taking care of myself (+ my sibling, like helping them with homework and all). Some people say I'm a natural born leader? idk bc I often step up to be the leader in group work & I'll often be the one to initiate things & all. I'm a rather big procrastinator though LOLL so you'll often catch me rushing my assignments & final projects & rushing my revision for exams + finals like, 2 days before the actual exam 💀 which often leads to me becoming more stressed out & breaking down more often than i actually should so 🥲 I'm trying to quit this bad habit though
I love cuddles and hugs please I will KILL for cuddles and hugs from my back by a tall character pls it just feels so safe and comforting to be spooned too 🥺🥺 sometimes when I'm too absorbed in work or something (which happens too often for it to be healthy) I might just forget to eat/sleep entirely AND also my sleep routine isn't the best. like i will literally fall asleep at 9pm, wake up in the middle of the night on my own at like, 1am, then usually I'll be rushing homework at this time, then maybe sleep again for a short while from 4ish? till when i have to get up for school/work at 5:30/6am 💀 there's been days where i literally looked so sick from the lack of sleep where my tutor once stopped the class to ask me if I was okay and if i was going to faint LMAO 😔 i feel like I'm a night owl??? but then also i have no problem getting up super early in the morning so?? but i really feel most at home and really enjoy the 3am nights 😌
i am also the class clown lol but it's bc i just make sarcastic comments and all and my friends think they're funny???? but also i enjoy making people laugh bc sometimes i find it interesting to try and see what kind of things make my friends laugh so it's lowkey an experiment? or like something i want to achieve? at this point. I'm fluent in English and Chinese/Mandarin and I'm learning Italian so I roughly know some basics, and I really enjoyed History, which I took last year but dropped this year. (I'm taking English Literature with Biology + Chemistry this year and they're all great, except I'm literally dying from the workload aaahhh 💀)
I'm kinda clumsy and Not Good™ at most sports, maybe passably okay for badminton but I'm really not that athletic and really not very keen on exercising either 😔 I'm quite creative and good with public speaking/creative writing/impromptu performance/speech though I'd say! I'm also in my school's drama club 😎 though I'm more of a backstage lights & sounds kind of person. I'm right handed (with a really neat handwriting, as I've been told many, many, many times) and I wear thin frame spectacles which I sometimes will fall asleep in & I'm so clumsy/careless that I'm actually really afraid I'd break them (it's happened before 😭)
I'm a really good planner? like i can do up a great and detailed schedule/plan for revision and all but i will NOT stick to what i plan 😭😭 i love to snack!!!! on chips + gummies especially, and my diet is quite unhealthy lmao i literally don't eat vegetables At All™ & i don't really eat meat that much too?? lmaoo please i can go for days without having a single proper meal & just survive on snacking on potato chips + soft drinks 💀 i am a very picky eater though so really me not finding food i like/am able to stomach is also really kind of my fault 🤡

You met when you were transferred to the BAU as the new Forensic Pathologist.
Hotch thought you were very interesting when you first met and was definitely intrigued by you.
He thought you fit in fairly well and would get along with the others (which you do).
He appreciates a sarcastic sense of humor, so he would dig that as well.
Hotch could tell you had a form of anxiety and wold be patient around you when you first met so that you could open up to him at your own pace.
What you do on your first date:
He takes you to a hockey game.
He is not the sportiest person but he has had an interest in hockey for a while, sometimes watching it on tv.
When he learned that you liked it, he decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to invite you on a date as well as to see his first game.
After the game, you walked around town for a bit, getting some late night food and talking or a long time.
This allowed you to open up to him quite a bit and you grew more comfortable around him as well, which he is very happy about.

You ended up spending hours together, and it felt like no time at all.
So you were definitely up for another date with him, which he of course asked you about.

Natasha. She was the first one you met, and slowly introduced you to the others. She thought you were really cool when you first met and was surprised at how well you go along. That is sometimes hard for her to do, so once you became friends she never took that for granted. She and Sam would gang up on you when you weren’t eating btw.
