I am obsessed with Mr. Bradshaw (Mary reilly 1996) and I just prove I'm very autistic.
This is my argument as to why I created a New crack ship.
Okay so I was watching Marry Reilly last night. And I got so attached to Mr. Bradshaw, I couldn't understand all his dialogue so I rewatched it.
And my god, that boy is so fruity and bitchy. Like every time he appeared he got a bitchy face and a smug grin, like as if he knew what was happening, or at least was bored of it.
Anyway it came to me the idea of, I don't know, him getting a bit too close to a known playboy, and said playboy got a eye on him
I just want a Casanova whiny and needy, and Mr Bradshaw really amused by this crazy and quite persistent man.
It would go like:
"Oh but please! Just one time, and if you don't like me, then we can part in paths"
''Could you imagine? The buttler from Dr JekyII's house, runs away with claimed playboy and,'' He would giggle. " a known womaniser"
Mr. Bradshaw squinted his eyes and looked acussi like at Jack, still with a smirk on his face.
"That would definitely piss off Mr. Poole, I'll pass"
I JUST. imma draw them. Give me a second. (Obviously it would be with casanova being around Bradshaw's age. I assume he is 27 so Casanova would be 26? 28? I think a bit younger would do the trick)
In a second thought I know they differ for like a whole century, but let's pretend casanova is in Bradshaw's century and that he is in London. 🙏
I saw an image were multiple actors who've played Sherlock Holmes where put together using Morphthing in order to create the "ideal" Sherlock. And I wondered if anyone had done that for the madman himself.
Really surprised with how smooth the final images became!
Actors featured:
John Barrymoore from the 1920 silent film
Fredric March from the 1932 film
Spencer Tracy from the 1942 film
Jason Flemyng (Jekyll) from The Leauge of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003) and Sam Witwer (Hyde) from Once Upon a Time (2006) I couldn't find any good images of LXG Hyde, and I wanted someone with similar mutton chops to be in the mix. :)
This movie is streaming for free on Tubi, and I'm feeling very nostalgic as I watch it. It's been years since I've seen it. It's the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, told from the perspective of the housemaid.
I was totally obsessed with this film since I was a young teen. Back when I was into "Interview with the Vampire", "The Craft" and Kenneth Branagh's "Hamlet."
I had never experienced a film quite like this before, or since. Not anything like the director's more well-known film, "Dangerous Liaisons." Mary Reilly is a dark, psychological, thriller, romance?
Critics have been so hard on it for so many reasons. Yeah, the accents are horrendous. Sure, the acting is pretty terrible sometimes, even with this great cast. Yeah, it's slow and doesn't really make sense sometimes. But those are the reasons I love it! It's ugly, imperfect, creepy, magical and beautiful. I've always found something profoundly irresistible about this story, the music, the setting, and how the characters' relationships unfold.
I read the book it was based on, and it just didn't have the same feel as the film. The film is a work of art, in my opinion. Art isn't to everyone's tastes. And that's fine.
If you're into weird, bad films, like me, give it a go! It's still a top 10 favorite film for me. Have fun!
The story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde told from the point of view of the maid.
One of my favourite things about this film is that it's one of the only film versions of the story that doesn't portray Hyde as some grotesque looking monster, he looks like a man but the evil/sinister qualities come from within.
John Malkovich manages the duality of Jekyll and Hyde to perfection, and Julia Roberts is very good in the title role (atrocious attempt at an Irish accent aside...).
