OCs and what their Fossil Fighters vivosaur team would be bc I am bored and have brain worms-

Hi! This is exactly what the title says. This is also going to get a bit long. Also these are just the ones off the top of my head, I'll come back to this again if I have more Thoughts.

Carta Mantua:

Tried to get some space-themed and white-colored vivos in here but her ace would be a T-Rex Lord with a Silver Leg Alectro and a Silver Body Aopteryx for support. I'll also give her a Frontier Coatlus and Papygon.

Golden Time

A mix of time-themed vivos and some regal eastern ones. She would love sauropods. Frontier Toba would be her ace. Silver Arm Krona and a Ryden for support.

X YZ

Tried to get in some good support vivosaurs and wishing star motifs. I think small triceras would be her favorite. Silver Head Proto, Silver Head Mihu, and Frontier Ajka would be a great team.

Ice Flame

Needed that mix of fire and ice for her so she's getting a Yango, Silver Head Jiango, and Silver Body Kentro team. She'd not much of a believer in ace vivosaurs so she balances out her team into any and all formations.

Fire Angel

I wanted to give her a whole team of fire birds but they can't fly so she's getting fire type pterasaurs! Frontier Ptera JP and Silver Leg Sungari for support. Dimorph Ace would be her ace (haha). She's blind and not too picky on colors so she would choose miraculous fossils by how powerful it would make her vivosaur.

Candy Corn Vampire

No bat vivos. :( Sad! Anyway, tried to get some funky Halloween ones. A Breme and Silver Head Hopter for support. His ace is the Silver Body Zino of course of course.

Oblivion Starlight

She was really hard to pin down, but I decided to make her a Neutral specialist. Silver Head Brachio, Silver Head Mihu, and a Penta would be her main team, but she'd also have a Neo and Silver Body Tophis on rotation.

Deathly Toll Bells

There are no Greek vivos to add but she would have a Seidon. A Silver Head Stygi and a Frontier Mapo would also be on her team. She'd also have Kaishin up her sleeve if she wanted a serious battle.

Lady Law

She'd try to make a balanced team I'd say. No clear ace but she'd have a Paki, Silver Body Dikelo, and Silver Head Tanstro. I wanted her to have some 'weird' vivos.

Perenelle

I think Perry would enjoy a team of little guys to be her little helpers. Compso and Coelo for support and a Dacerus for her ace. She's not big on silver fossils, only gold ones.

Däe

Gave them a unicorn as their ace: Omias. Silver Head Parium and a Silver Arm Elasmoth for support. Didn't want to give them a dream/sleep themed team so much but I think they should have a Silver Head Jara, Silver Arm Nigo, and a Squirth in rotation.

Mary Blüde

She would most like get a 'patchwork' team that wouldn't look like it matches at first but actually has great support. A Silver Leg Tro and a Hibigon would be on her support. For a touch of regality she can have a Giga Allo for an ace. She always keeps her ace in the front like an axe so it can always deal heavy blows. She'd get a Lythro along the way.

Scarlet Frost

Water type specialist all the way! The more icy the better. Silver Arm Thalasso would be a good pick. Silver Leg Oloro would also be a good support and Frontier Cryo would be her ace.

Demigod

Went with a punk theme and vivos that had a 'metal' aesthetic going on. Her ace would be a Silver Leg Cheirus and she would also have a Silver Body Breme. Later on she would be able to get an O-Raptor Fiend and Diplo.

MVF

Had to really scratch my head but I decided to give her a team of 'underdogs' for theming. A Silver Body Shanshan and a V-Raptor for support and an Aeros as her ace. I wanted all her vivos to be capable of super evolving, but the Shanshan was perfect for theming and the whole Tarbo/classification situation fits well with her story.

Aries

No goat vivos so she's getting a full fire team! She'll have a Guan as her ace and a U-Raptor and Peloro for support. She'd try to make all three balanced.

Ti Gold

No prehistoric bears- Sad! Let's give them a Silver Head Megath, B-Brachio, and Frontier F-Raptor. I also think she would be able to make a team out of Z-vivosaurs.

Madeleine Marionette

I really wanted to give her a deer but I went more with her fear-inducing color pallet and nature. She gets a Megalo of course of course and a Silver Head Krypto. Let's also give her a Silver Arm Nasaur for cute factor.

Mike

He needs a creepy team full of Z- and B-vivos in my opinion but I think realistically he should have the 'average' kind of vivosaurs. So let's give him a Spinax as his ace and Edapho and Stego for support.

Valentina

She gets an unruly Titanis for her ace and two tanky vivosaurs for support: a Silver Head Pachrino and a Tricera. She'd super evolve her Tricera given the chance.

Moroko

Going to give him a 'dog' vivo and make his team based more on his three friends (Shiela, Yippee!, and Ghostworx). The easy answer would have been to give him three Dinomatons. He'd have a Silver Head Hoplo as his ace and a Silver Arm Orno and a Silver Head Dunkle.

Suiuus

Creepy deer all the way. Silver Body Ceros and a Silver Head Synthos for support. I'm also giving them a B-Rex.

Celestial Spectrum Lore: Names + Translations

Quick OC lore dump since it’s on my mind and I don’t want this to get lost in my mountain of files-

In my story/universe of Celestial Spectrum it is set from the perspective of fifteen characters who are ‘tuned in’ to a collective system (that’s another can o worms that I may explain one day) that helps power them up and allows them to read any recorded language in their primary language.

When you add in with how weird or outlandish some of the characters names are then you can start to understand that the names seen/heard by MVF (the main character) might not actually be their names but a translation of them.

More under cut-

This is going to be more of a ramble of the names and translations of my OCs’ names now.

Carta S. Mantua- A very literal name. Carta and Mantua are English words that just mean ‘paper/letter’ and ‘great’. This ties in with Carta having studied astronomy and creating her own star maps back in the day.

Golden Time- Gold’s full name is ‘Time’s Golden Angel’ and could easily be misinterpreted as being a more religious name. In actuality, it’s a closer meaning to ‘Dawn’ since a better translation would be ‘the time when angels bring the golden light’. A very cute name!

X YZ- A harder name to figure out since X is one of the last of her kind and her fellow species and culture are so spread out these days. It would have to be from an alien alphabet and, sound-based, would sound like ‘Dizzy’.

Ice Flame- ‘Icamous Flamamous’ is her full name and her first name’s English translation is closer to ‘Icarus’ but her last name isn’t as easy to understand. It can be roughly translated to ‘Ignite.’ Her name can be either ‘Fire Starter’ or ‘Follow the Light.’

Fire Angel- This one is easy! Her avian species give bird/flight themed names so her English translation would be ‘Phoenix.’

Candy Corn Vampire- He has a very literal translation and five other middle names we don’t have time to get into. ‘Candy’ is translated from ‘Sweet’ and ‘Corn’ is from ‘Harvest’. His last name ‘Vampire’ is actually a very old name that can’t be easily translated but it roughly means ‘Moon that Bleeds’ or ‘Blood Moon’. His name could actually mean ‘Sweets.’

Oblivion Starlight- Last of her kind, she only says that her first name of ‘Oblivion’ is from the term for ‘Vast Sky’ and ‘Starlight’ is from ‘Stardust’. Her name means ‘A Sky Filled with Stars.’

Note: This is where much of the cast is from Earth and names and translations are easier or just names.

Deathly Toll Bells- OH BOY. Deathly’s ‘’’’’true name’’’’’ is actually ‘Persephone’ and it means ‘Bringer of Death.’ To bring it back to her current name, it’s longer meaning would be ‘The Sound of When Your Death Arrives.’

Lady Law- Her nickname since she’s kind of moved on from her previous life. Her previous name was ‘Lily’ (’زنبق’ or ‘Zanbaq’).

Perenelle- From the French form of ‘Petronilla’ which means ‘Rock’. ‘Perenelle’ just means ‘Yokel.’ Not that exciting but she likes going by the nickname ‘Perry.’

Daë- A shortened form of ‘Daydream.’ He named himself after going through a very long rough part of his life where he was known as ‘Nyght.’

Mary Blüde- ‘Mary’ which is short for ‘Marian’ and her chosen last name is an alternate spelling for ‘Blood.’ If you want to get literal into name meaning, ‘Marian’ can be ‘Drop of Sea; Bitter; Beloved’ and if you put it next to her last name it can be ‘Sea of Blood; Bitter Blood; Beloved One.’

Scarlet Frost- Her name is ‘Scarlet Frost.’ : )

Demigod- Short of ‘Demise God’ or ‘God of Demise.’ Her previous name was ‘Denise’ but she can’t remember.

MVF- Back to the fun stuff: This is an instance of the translation mechanisms fucking up due to her having a weird spelling for her name. It’s possible that her name starts with ‘M’ and the ‘V’ and ‘F’ aren’t actually there.

And now back to aliens and weird immortals! These will be shorter.

Matilda + Fluffy- Very regular names. Matilda was given an Earth name by her adoptive parents and Fluffy is an alien cat whose parents are very into traditional cat names. Fluffy’ fur is very soft and never really lost that kitten fuzz.

Terra Cotta- From a desert planet. His name can be translated from ‘Sun-Kissed Earth/Planet.’

Celestite- From the gemstone, based on their hair and skin color. Means ‘Heavenly.’

Xero- Alternative spelling for ‘Zero.’ Her name can be translated from ‘From Nowhere’ since she is a treasure thief who is always on the run.

Xerreff + Talma + Yaiba- They each named themselves. ‘Xerreff’ is from ‘Circuits,’ ‘Talma’ is from ‘Bone,’ and ‘Yaiba’ is from ‘Streak.’ Talma and Yaiba didn’t know their names mean ‘Hill’ and ‘Sword’ in other languages.

Nebulark- Easy. A combination of ‘Nebula’ and ‘Lark.’ Her true name is from a warrior bird that has significance in her culture, most likely translated from ‘Lark of the Stars.’

Skrapper + Mix + Kabular + Hybie- All named by Nebulark. She named them all after their elemental abilities. ‘Skrapper’ is ‘North Wind,’ ‘Mix’ is ‘Wildfire,’ ‘Kabular’ is ‘Tree Bark,’ and ‘Hybie’ is ‘Ocean of Teeth.’

Aries- Named after the original Celestial Warrior! AKA- The constellation of Aries.

Centarous- From the same culture as Oblivion’s. His name is a combination of two words, ‘Centar’ and ‘Arous.’ ‘Centar’ is ‘Dusk’ and ‘Arous’ is ‘Burnt’ so his name would translate to ‘Burnt Dusk’ or ‘The Dusk that Burns.’

Sperra- Name given by Centarous. Her name means ‘Ray of Light’ since he first saw her as his first follower after his downfall.

Maleficent Varry- Robot with the best form of sentience names herself ‘Bad Variable’ or ‘Computer Virus.’

Mountain Lion- Time to talk about Moroko’s mother (yes she’s a Collateral Damage and Celestial Spectrum character). She likes the English translation of her name and thus keeps it as a nickname but it’s translated from an ancient form of ‘Towering/Mighty Emperor.’

Hope + Poppy Blood- Possibly the hardest names to figure out. From the same ancient language as Mountain Lion. They’re twin sisters and thus have matching names. ‘Hope’ is from ‘Shining’ and ‘Poppy Blood’ is from ‘Nightmare.’

Now! Time for Elements, Elementals, and Absolute Zero!

The Celestial Spectrum (name of the spectrum of elements) has a total of fifteen elements: Space, Time, Wishes, Destruction, Fire, Mirrors, ???, End, Law, Reality, Dreams, Power, Ice, Steel, and Creation.

Fire + End + Ice + Steel- Let’s get this group out of the way first. These are the four core elements of Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. Fire is the obvious one that has the correct translation but the others need some explanation. End has a source from ‘Death’ or ‘Underworld’ and thus you can make the assumption of ‘meeting a watery end’ or ‘whirlpools’ but it’s sourced more from how an ocean can be endless and meeting it could mark your death. Ice is from ‘cold air’ and is a pretty simple translation. Steel’s translation leans more into ‘Iron’ or ‘Earth’ but has roots in a different meaning of ‘can be molded’ or ‘terraform.’

???- Lost in translation. From Oblivion’s culture and was lost to time. Some believe it closely resembles ‘heart’ or ‘emotion.’

Space + Time- Very metaphysical. Space is from ‘Dark Matter’ and Time is from ‘Change.’

Wishes + Mirrors- Two elements that don’t really make sense as to why they would be elements. Both of them are actually very psychological meanings and are part of the state of being. Wishes is from the term ‘to desire’ and Mirrors is from ‘to reflect’ or ‘to be.’ To Wish is to desire, to Mirror is to be. I can’t really get into it because the elements themselves are like essays worth of content.

Destruction + Creation- These two elements are very similar to one another! Destruction and Creation are from ‘to meld.’ To get even more practical, Creation’s other translations are ‘Life,’ ‘Birth,’ and ‘Blood’ while Destruction’s others are ‘Silence,’ ‘Completion,’ and ‘Break.’ You can’t destroy something without creating something new and you can’t create something without destroying something older.

Reality + Dreams- Both states of the awake and dreaming worlds. Reality is from ‘awake’ and ‘brain’ while Dreams is from ‘asleep’ and ‘prophecy/protection.’ Again, it would be hard to explain without going more in-depth sorry;;;

Law + Power- The balance elements. This is all about physics. Law is from ‘to balance’ or ‘to equate’ and Power is from ‘to heighten’ or ‘to give.’

Elementals- Not going to list all of their names since I just listed their elements meanings^^ They each reflect their Element’s meanings since they are the “physical” manifestations of them. Some of their personalities can lean away from what they stand for though.

Absolute Zero- She named herself similar to the space she resides in, Point Blank. Essentially, she sees herself as ‘Impossible Loneliness’ or even ‘Empress of Nowhere.’ : (

Annddddd that’s all I got for now! Some of this translations tuff might change and I didn’t add in all of the characters I have in CS since I haven’t introduced some still. More characters might be added once they’re introduced.
