I used to participate in a lot of stuff in the community a few years ago, but now it feels like I'm not welcome anymore, it feels like people only get attention if their f/o is currently popular. I play the ask games (and ask ppl I rb from!), and it's 0 nothing. People say it's no biggie if you don't get notifications on here about it, but it's kinda shitty that people around you are having fun with letters from their f/os, asks, etc and you're just the awkward standing emoji. 🧍.
I completely understand this anon, I've been on self-ship tumblr for nearly 4 years or so I think. Only recently on my main have I gotten any consistent mutuals or activity and it's felt nice, but it does make me wonder what it is now that's different than before. I felt very alienated for a long time. Even with this blog, it never really brought anyone to my main for as long as I've been posting until very recently. Even then it was around two people (hello to those wonderful people!) But, even so, having a popular *community* blog has never benefited me in the mutual/activity on my main. It's honestly strange. I never expected it to, but the amount of people who genuinely just...don't care, is rather interesting to say the least.
I curate a lot of the fun for everyone, but for the longest time none of that fun was ever returned. I think as a community we're very selfish, which is to be expected as it's *self*shipping. It's a very individual thing. But, a lot of people extend themselves, sometimes all of themselves for others and get nothing back. I'm sorry you've felt this way, especially when things used to be different. It's never fun to feel left out. We very much have a popularity contest/othering issue, but I'm not sure if that will ever balance out without it feeling performative. People can never be forced to care, if that makes sense. But, we can raise awareness and mindfulness. Just be kinder to your fellow mutuals, practice rb karma, give what you get, stuff like that.
It's also not fair when cliques and the super duper popular (main) blogs get every ounce of attention for having a certain f/o, and then other people who also f/o them get alienated because that one person sort of owns that "brand", if that makes any sense? But in the same brush stroke, that person isn't responsible for the community loving them and giving the attention, but it's also very prevalent that a lot of them don't give back what they give or it's just all a big echo-chamber between popular main blogs. It's all messed up, it's complicated. But it is also rampant, and I've definitely noticed it.
All in all, nobody owes anyone anything, but if you don't give as much as you get or uplift the people who endlessly appreciate you, well. That's on you I suppose. We can all say that mutuals and notifs and interaction don't matter in your ships and how you love your f/os, but it's easy to say that when you get attention. If popular blogs didn't have the security of the community loving them, how would they feel then? Perhaps a lot more alone/left out. It's just food for thought.

I just realized I don't think I've ever thought about cream in the sword and shield dlcs/canons post game plot, creams post game plot is the gym challenge normally so it's inverted, so I'm now taking this to mean shielbert and sordward from the normal post game are cream's pokemon rivals during the apocalypse. These two decide the apocalypse is the perfect time to reclaim the throne, and obviously as cream challenges them by fixing the problem they declare themselves nemesis's or old school Pokemon rivals/evil team kind of? They might have a gang because something something what is royalty without it's people and I'm pretty sure in canon they had like at least five people on their side I do not remember much of these idiots but either way, they are now creams rivals in the old school sense, marnie is technically their rival in the "we're pals and this battle is to prove our own strength to eachother" way but the im pretty sure twins are their "fuck you" "FUCK YOU TOO" rivals

The egg hatched! It's a female eevee and the vet at the pokecenter said she didn't have any medical issues and gave her a clean bill of health~

I won’t lie I have doubted my f/o and me before and sometimes I still do because why would they like me?
Hiya!!
Well, I will say this right off the bat. I feel this way *a lot* of the time with certain f/os of mine. A lot of it boils down to self-esteem/low self-worth or doubt and not letting yourself have something good, because you might not feel so good about yourself. But, I want you to know that your f/o wants to love you, and they do love you, more than anything. They understand your feelings, and they want to help you work through it together!
You gotta trust me, from one person who definitely feels this to another, they would adore you. You just have to let them, and give them the chance to. They would bat an eye at you, they would care, they would love you, not just like. It's okay to have doubts, you're feelings are always valid, but just know you f/o is always going to be there for you so long as you let them!
So, think about it this way. What if your f/o felt that way about you? What if they felt not good enough for you? Would you approach them and say something like, "Hey why do you think that? Of course I love you, how can I not?", well...they would want to do the same thing! Just because you're *you* doesn't make how they'd act any different. You're important to them just as much as they are to you! Even if they are a popular character. The version of themselves that they are to you is all yours. They wouldn't trade you for the world, either.
Your f/o would like you because you're you, no other way around it! Often times we try to find impressive or astounding things about ourselves to justify why our f/os would love us, but, consider, they can very much be just normal people too, and they might really want to be! But still yes, the amazing and astounding things about you, which are there for your information. You probably have lots of amazing qualities that you aren't even aware of that they can see!

So I just watched When Marine Was There, for my Birthday and why I kind enjoyed the film, I felt disappointed that Marine, that was the grandmother the whole time! Like, I want to pretend to never happen, but I aadlly can't... Is that normal that part of me did enjoy the plot, even though I know it's messed up? Becpuse, now I feel ashamed for enjoying the half... I feel like it would be much better if Marrie would turn out to be a ghost or a doll. I apologise for my comment sounted uncomfortable. Also, when I watched half of the film, I recommended my online friend to watch it, before I found out about the twist. Should I warn them not to watch it? Or still let them watch it and wait for their reaction?
I don't blame you whatsoever. I got recommendations to see the film beforehand and during the bulk of it, I was really sucked in by the atmosphere and the animation and was really invested in Anna's plight. Honestly, if the queerbaiting didn't feel as malicious as it did to me, I probably still would've liked the movie. It was trying to tell a beautiful story it just didn't work because the ending really tainted a lot of its earlier scenes for me. Because queerbaiting aside, the ghost of this old woman pretending to be her younger self and relive her memories with her granddaughter standing in as her husband is just... Weird to me. And not weird in the usual charming anime way, weird in an... icky way. So if I were to rewatch the film, I wouldn't enjoy it like I enjoyed it the first time, which really sucks but I get enjoying it the first time.

I’ve recently come into possession of an Eevee myself actually~! Burgh and I had each caught one the day we got engaged, ahaha~
I suppose we were both too distracted by other things to mention it before now…
Anywho~! It’s ultimately up to you, dear. Umbreon is a fine Dark Type Pokémon that especially thrives during the nighttime. It didn’t get it’s title of the Moonlight Pokémon for nothing, after all~
However, Jolteon and Espeon are both fine options too. I do believe your little Morpeko would get on well with a Jolteon~✨ Espeon could be quite helpful to combat Fighting Types from a strategic point of view~
In any case, don’t let other’s expectations sway your decision. You certainly aren’t banned from owning Pokémon other than Dark Types~

God I love Repo! The Genetic Opera so much. It's so bad it's good but it's also genuinely good. The main character is played by the girl Spy Kid. The practical effects are some of the best and worst I've ever seen at the same time. Paris Hilton's face falls off. The main character is always on the verge of passing out or throwing up and nobody ever explains a single thing to her. It has one of the worst cgi blood spurts I've ever seen in my entire life. The main character is bald but we only see her without her wig one time and it's never explained or brought up again. Joan Jett is there.
