Qué es el síndrome de Klinefelter o XXY que afecta a los genitales y a la fertilidad de los hombres

20MINUTOS.ES * La principal consecuencia de este síndrome es la baja producción de testosterona, la hormona sexual masculina. * Las olas de calor afectan a la fertilidad masculina, según un estudio. Con 33 años, Manu descubrió a través de diversas analíticas que tenía un nivel de fertilidad demasiado bajo para su edad. Después de una serie de pruebas llegó el diagnóstico: tenía el síndrome de Klinefelter, una afección genética que solo ocurre en los hombres cuando tienen un cromosoma X de más. La mayoría de las personas nacen con 23 pares de cromosomas (XX o XY), siendo el último el que determina el sexo —X en el caso de las mujeres, Y en el de los hombres—. Sin embargo, los varones con este síndrome tienen al menos una X de más, lo que da a lugar en la mayoría de los casos a un cariotipo 47, XXY o, en ocasiones, a los cariotipos 48, XXXY o el 49,XXXXY. De ahí que también se le conozca como el síndrome XXY. Esta afección pasó a denominarse síndrome de Klinefelter en honor al primer médico que la describió en los años 40, Harry Klinefelter. Según recoge la web de la Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina de EE UU, este trastorno genético es más frecuente de lo que parece, ya que 1 de cada 500 varones lo tienen. Aunque los síntomas varían en función del hombre, la principal consecuencia es la baja producción de testosterona, la hormona sexual masculina. En algunos casos, según explican desde la Clínica Mayo, puede provocar el retraso de la pubertad en adolescentes (o no llegar a darse), testículos y pene más pequeños e incluso el agrandamiento de las glándulas mamarias y, en última instancia, esterilidad masculina. Asimismo, aquellos hombres que presentan este síndrome tienen más riesgo de desarrollar trastorno de hiperactividad y déficit de atención (THDA), lupus, artritis reumatoide, cáncer de mama, depresión, osteoporosis o coágulos sanguíneos. Los síntomas físicos se pueden tratar administrando testosterona por vía intramuscular o subcutánea, según ha explicado a la BBC el doctor Diego Yeste, especialista y responsable del área de endocrinología pediátrica del Hospital Vall d'Hebron de Barcelona. Es el caso de Manu, que ahora tiene 50 años, y lleva desde que le detectaron el síndrome inyectándose cada mes esta hormona. En una entrevista al medio británico, Manu ha relatado que este trastorno se ha convertido en su mayor secreto: "A esta edad, se lo cuentas a alguien y lo primero que hacen es reírse de ti. Me ha pasado más de una vez", ha dicho. Por este motivo se lo ha ocultado a sus padres y la relación con el resto de su familia ha cambiado completamente al sentir su rechazo y empezar a verlo "como un bicho raro". Problemas de fertilidad Al no producir testosterona, la fertilidad también se ve afectada, algo que ha marcado profundamente a Manu en el plano de las relaciones amorosas. "En cuanto le dices a tu pareja que tienes el síndrome de Klinefelter, te abandona. Y es muy duro pasar por eso pareja tras pareja", asegura. En este sentido, la infertilidad crea en los afectados un sentimiento de estigmatización, indica la psicóloga Isabel Quiles, del Hospital Vall d'Hebron. "Es una cosa que llevan muy callada y muy dentro. Pasan mucha angustia antes de contar que padecen el síndrome de Klinefelter y por lo tanto no pueden tener hijos". En España, este síndrome se diagnostica cada vez más gracias a la amniocentesis, una prueba que se realiza a las mujeres embarazadas por la cual se extrae una pequeña muestra del líquido amniótico que rodea al feto para analizarla. http://dlvr.it/Qs3Kq7

Wild doesn’t move from his spot on the shifting sand. Instead, he taps the pad and withdraws Urbosa’s scimitar and shield. He could try a spear, but the scimitar is a unique shape the other hero likely hasn’t encountered.

Sky frowns—either at the weapon or that Wild hasn’t moved—grabs his shield from the pile of gear, then nods to Time.

“Three, two, one…start!”

Wild stays exactly where he is. Sky raises his sword and shield and paces the hard ground. The Master Sword is long and, while it can be wielded with one hand, two make it easier. To hold it easily as well as a metal shield? Sky’s strength is clear.

Finally, Wild edges a little closer, still sticking to the shifting dune sand. Sky is forced to leave the hard-packed ground to meet him. It’s a good strategy for Wild—he’s trained with the Gerudo and spent a lot of time in the desert.

Sky’s stance is firm, but there’s an uncertainty in how he places his feet that has Wild surging forward. Rather than fight the shifting sand, he lets his body relax into it. The continual shifting is an advantage against the enemy.

Their swords clash and scrape. Sky goes to break away, but stumbles in the sand. Wild is there, pushing his shield against the other hero, trying to throw him back.

Sky might have stumbled, but he’s not so green as to go down under the attack. He holds Wild off with his own shield, shifting to get his footing under him. When they disengage, Sky follows it up immediately with a vicious downward cut.

Wild catches it on his shield, grimacing at the shriek of metal skating off. Sky stays on the offense, raining blows without giving him a chance to counter. The sand is still a slight hindrance, but he adjusts quickly to the terrain, and the tenuous advantage is lost.

Wild skips backward, putting space between himself and Sky. They’ve made it down to the firm-packed sand of the beach. The rest of the group range in a semi-circle; watching, yet not so close as to be a hindrance.

Sky circles Wild and both look for an opening. If the terrain isn’t his advantage, maybe Wild can capitalize on his scimitar.

This time when they clash, Wild focuses more on his swordsmanship. The scimitar is different from a sword and has two hooked arcs at the end. It’s shorter than the Master Sword, forcing him to move in close.

Sky lets him, rather than fending him off with length. It makes his sword harder to control up close. It also means he can lunge forward and slam his shield into Wild.

He goes down with a grunt; rolling to avoid a follow-up blow and coming back to his feet. He turns the motion into a forward lunge, hooking the scimitar of seven against the master sword. With it trapped in the hooks, it only takes a sharp yank to send it flying from Sky’s hand.

Wild doesn’t give Sky time to retrieve his weapon. Dropping the shield, he scoops sand and runs at the other. At the last second, he throws it, blinding Sky before using the flat of the blade to smack into his shoulder.

Sky yelps and goes down.

-Beh! Non cc’è mali ndi putimu ccuntintari! Tegnu quasi novant’anni e rringrazziandu a Ddiu pozzu ncora caminari, ncuntrari li cristiani e rraggiunari cu loru.

-Uè zzi t’agghiu nnuttu to zeppuli ti San Giuseppu, cussì ti li mangi a mmenzatia culla la zza Rosa.

-A fattu buenu figghiu mia, ca iu m’aggiu rricurdatu ca osci eti San Giuseppu, prima sobba allu calandariu lu mintiunu a rrussu, ma moni, avi bueni anni ca non lu mentunu cchiui pirceni la festa l’annu llivata. Prima sta festa era proriu nna bella festa ti devozzioni pi llu santu falignami e puvirieddu.

-Zzu Co’, contimi nnu picca, com’era prima la festa ti San Giuseppu.

-Tant’anni aggretu pì sta festa si ncuminzava a priparari già parecchi ggiurni prima, nc’era l’usanza la sera ti San Giuseppu cu si ppicciava lu “Fanoi” e la menzatia cu ssi priparava la “Tria”.

Pì priparari lu fanoi, tutti li vagnuni sciunu girandu casa casa pì circari sarcini e salimienti e ogni cristianu nci tava to tre sarcini, ognunu ti loru si nni caricava una sobba alli spaddi e lla purtava all’angulu chiù largu ti li strati.

A quiddi tiempi la campagna stava vicinu alli casi e li vagnuni sciunu puru fori, allu vicinu e sa ccugghiunu ramagghia ti aulii e ntenni siccati ca li uemmini erunu lassatu nterra toppu la putatura.

Chianu chianu all’angulu si facia na catasta sempri chiù ierta e chiù llarga, li villani la sera quandu si rritiraunu ti fori, cu li traini, puru loru nnuciunu atri sarcini, salimienti, ramagghia e ntenni siccati, e la catasta si facia sempri chiù ierta e chiù grandi.

Comu t’agghiu tittu prima, siccomu San Giuseppu eti lu santu ti li puvirieddi, nc’era puru l’usanza ti priparari lu pranzu pi tridici puvirieddi, ttreti ti loru rapprisintuaunu San Giuseppu, La Matonna e Gesù Cristu e l’atri rapprisintaunu li Santi, e forsi pi sta rascioni lu pranzu si chiamava la “Tria”.

Qua vicinu, n’cera lu nunnu Vitucciu, ca ogni annu facia la “tria”, stu cristianu non era riccu, pi iddu era nu sacrificiu, ma tinia sta devozioni, era aiutari quiddi ca no putiunu mangiari, armenu cuddu ggiurnu.

Totta la famiglia ti lu nunnu Vitucciu, ccuminzava qualchi sittimana prima a priparare ciò ca nci sirvia, pi prima cosa sgumbraunu ti li scigghi la rimesa, la ncuacinaunu e all’angulu ti fronti allu purtoni faciunu n’altarinu cu li tauli e li banchi, rricupriunu tutto cu li coprilietti ti seta colorati, sobbra nci mintinu nnu lanzulu biancu rricamato e sobbra allu lanzulu, sistimaunu llu quadru ti San Giuseppu.

La taulata la faciunu cu lli tauli ti lu liettu, mintiunu na banca e nu picca chiù luntanu n’atra banca e sobbra ntra una e l’atra nci ppuggiaunu li tauli.

Pì quddu ggiurnu la nunna Ntunietta, assia li tuvagghi chiù belli ca tinia, quiddi rricamati a manu, quiddi ca era avuti pì tota, li llavava e li stirava e la matina ti la festa li sistimava sobbra alla taula.

Li femmini ti vicinu casa nsiemi alli fili sua l’aiutaunu, nc’era ci llavava piatti e bicchieri, ci vacava lu vinu ntra li bucali, ci priparava la verdura pi sobbrataula, ci cucinava, edda sistimava bicchieri, furcini, curtieddi e fiuri sobbra alla taula, pi urtumu nci mintia vicinu a ogni postu nu panittuddu ti pani, lu pani spiciali a forma ti frisedda grandi, cuddu ca era fattu lu ggiurnu prima.

Lu ggiurnu ti la festa, sotta allu quadru, tanti candeli, tanti portafiuri cu tanti fiuri, li fiuri no ssi ccattaunu, li purtaunu li cristiani ti qua nnanzi, tannu ntra ogni ortali nuestru crisciunu tanti belli fiuri, li calli bianchi, li bocca ti lupu, li rosi, li garofuli e tanti atri.

Sotta menzatia quedda rimesa simbrava diversa ti tutti l’atri ggiurni, simbrava nu saloni pi lli festi, sobbra alla taula nc’era tuttu lu ben di dio, atturnu li tridici puvirieddi, a caputaula san giuseppu e ti costi a iddu la matonna, e all’atru costi gesù cristu.

Lu nunnu Vitucciu e la nunna Ntunietta, tisi ti fronti alla taula, vicini a loro lu previti cu toi picuezzuli, vistuti comu quandu stannu sobbra all’altari, atturnu atturnu li cristiani ti vicinu casa, crandi e piccinni.

Lu previti biniticia la taula e tutti li cristiani ca staunu ntra quedda rimesa, toppu la binidizioni ognunu turnava a casa sua e lu nunnu Vitucciu e la nunna Ntunietta ccuminzauno a sirviri lu pranzu a li puvirieddi, loru quddu ggiurnu no si ssittaunu a quedda taula, la devozioni loru era cu servunu a ci avia bisuegnu.

Tanti erunu li cosi ca la nunna Ntunietta era priparatu, pietanzi nustrani e sapuriti, ti la tradizioni ti li villani ti lu paisi nuestru, tutti cosi curtivati ti loro stessi o ti li vicini ti casa.

Alla fine ti lu pranzu lu nunnu Vitucciu sirvia a tutti li zeppuli ti San Giuseppu, l’era sa ccattati la matina prestu ti lu bbarra ca stava alla Porta Grandi.

A ogni puvirieddu, la nunna Ntunietta nc’era priparato nu fagottu e intra nc’era misu na pagnotta ti pani, na buttiglia ti vinu e atri cosi ca erunu rimasti ti lu pranzu, nsomma quiddi puvirieddi putiunu mangiari ancora pi natri toi tre ggiurni.

La sera quandu lu sole era calatu, sempri ci nc’era statu, pirceni a marzu lu soli nu picca stai e nu picca si nni vai, lu nunnu Chiccu ccuminzava a mettiri fuecu sotta alla catasta sistimata all’icrocio ti li strati.

Chianu chianu lu fuecu pigghiava forza, ti nn’angulu all’atru si tava voci ca lu Fanoi sta ppicciava, e li cristiani si ccuminzaunu a nvicinari.

Nanzi nanzi, atturnu atturnu, staunu tutti li vagnuni chiù piccinni, chiù ggretu li crandi, tutti li famigli si rriuniunu vicinu allu Fanoi, pi tradizioni, pi devozioni e pirceni era proriu bellu cu vitivi li fiammi gialli e russi, ca si azaunu versu lu cielu ca oramai s’era fattu scuro e si vitiunu li stelli e la luna.

Si cantava, si parlava, si nbivia ncunu bicchiere ti vinu e chianu chianu la sirata passava e lu fanoi cu li fiammi e li scintilli divintava sempre chiù bellu.

Si scia ti nu fanoi all’atru, pi vetiri quali sta ppicciava megghiu, qual’era cuddu chiu grandi e cuddu ca turava ti cchiui.

Ogni tanto sintivi scattarisciari qualche ntenna, li vagnuni si anchiunu li poti ti sali cruessu e ogni tantu lu iaticaunu ntra lu fuecu senza cu si faciunu avvetiri, subbuti sintivi scattarisciari e vitivi tanti scintilli, tanti cristiani si spantaunu e si lluntanaunu e li vagnuni ritiunu.

Quandu oramai lu fuecu s’era sbasciatu e staunu tanti crauni belli rrifucati, chianu chianu li cristiani si anchiunu li frasceri e si li purtaunu ntra casa loro, era lu fuecu binidettu ti San Giuseppu.

Era na festa pì tutti, pì crandi e piccinni, e puru ca annu passati tant’anni no ti la puè scurdari.

La cenniri ca rumania si ccughia e lu ggiurnu toppu li villani la spandiunu fori sempri in onori ti lu Santu Falignami e Puvirieddu.

Moni la festa eti tiversa e menumali ca armenu annu rimasti li zzeppuli.

La festa di San Giuseppe di tanti anni fa, a Mesagne (Brindisi), raccontata da zio Cosimo

Bungiorno zio Cosimo, come stai?

Beh! Non c’è male, ci possiamo accontentare.

Ho quasi novant’anni e ringraziando Iddio posso ancora camminare, incontrare le persone e ragionare con loro.

Zio ti ho portato due zeppole di San Giuseppe, le mangiate a mezzogiorno insieme alla zia Rosa.

Hai fatto bene figlio mio, io mi sono ricordato che oggi è San Giuseppe, prima sul calendario il 19 Marzo era colorato di rosso, adesso non lo è più perché questa festa l’hanno tolta.

Questa festa era proprio bella, una festa di devozione per il santo falegname e poverello.

Zio, raccontami come si festeggiava San Giuseppe qui a Mesagne.

Il racconto ha inizio:

Tanti anni fa, per questa festa, i preparativi iniziavano alcuni giorni prima, vi era l’usanza la sera di San Giuseppe di accendere i falò, “Li fanoi”, per le strade, a mezzogiorno si preparava un pranzo speciale per i poveri, detto: “La Tria di San Giuseppe”.

Per preparare il falò, tutti i ragazzi del quartiere andavano di casa in casa a chiedere fascine e salmenti: tutti ne donavano. Ogni ragazzo si caricava in spalla le fascine e le portava all’incrocio più largo tra due strade.

Per i ragazzi era un gioco, facevano a gara a chi riusciva a trasportare più fascine, vi erano alcuni che per dimostrare la loro forza se ne caricavano sulle spalle anche due o tre, era una festa la preparazione.

Pian piano, all’incrocio, la catasta diventava sempre più alta e più larga, i contadini, la sera, tornando dalla campagna, con i carretti, portavano altre fascine e altri rami secchi di albero di ulivo, resti della potatura degli alberi, la catasta diventava sempre più alta e più grande.

Siccome San Giuseppe è il santo dei poverelli, vi era l’usanza di preparare un pranzo per tredici poveri, tre di loro rappresentavano San Giuseppe, la Madonna e Gesù, gli altri i vari Santi, un pranzo senza carne ma con tredici portate, chiamato da sempre: “La Tria di San Giuseppe”.

Vito, un mio vicino di casa, ogni anno preparava “La Tria”, non era ricco, per lui era un sacrificio, aveva però questa devozione, desiderava aiutare chi non poteva mangiare, almeno il giorno della festa di San Giuseppe.

Tutta la famiglia di Vito collaborava alla preparazione, la settimana prima, gli uomini sgombravano la rimessa, il locale dove tenevano gli attrezzi da lavoro per i campi, che era quello più grande per ospitare tante persone, lo imbiancavano con calce bianca e, all’angolo di fronte al portone d’ingresso, con tavole e tavolini, preparavano l’altarino.

Le donne ricoprivano la struttura con vari copriletti di seta colorata, sopra veniva steso un lenzuolo bianco e ricamato, il più bello che la padrona di casa aveva avuto in dote, al centro, in alto troneggiava il quadro di San Giuseppe.

Per sistemare la lunga tavolata, erano utilizzati dei tavoli, avuti in prestito dai vicini di casa, su cui erano poste le tavole del letto.

Per quel giorno Antonietta, la moglie di Vito, apparecchiava la tavola con le tovaglie più belle, il giorno prima le prendeva dall’ultimo cassetto del comò, le lavava e le stirava.

Tutte le donne del vicinato insieme alle figlie di Antonietta collaboravano ai preparativi, chi lavava piatti e bicchieri, chi riempiva i boccali di vino, chi preparava la verdura per la “sopratavola”, chi cucinava.

Una pagnottella di pane a forma di frisella, preparata il giorno prima, veniva sistemata al posto di ogni commensale.

Il giorno della festa, sotto il quadro di San Giuseppe, tante candele e tanti fiori, portati dai vicini.

Poco prima di mezzogiorno, tutto era pronto per la festa, sulla grande tavolata vi erano tante cose buone, attorno i tredici poveri, al centro San Giuseppe alla sua destra il figlio Gesù e alla sua sinistra Maria.

Vito e Antonietta, in piedi di fronte alla tavola, accanto a loro il prete con i due chierichetti, attorno i vicini di casa, grandi e piccoli.

Dopo che il prete aveva benedetto la tavola e i presenti, Vito ed Antonietta cominciavano a servire il pranzo ai loro ospiti.

Tante cose buone preparate da Antonietta, pietanze della tradizione contadina, il piatto principale era composto da ceci e piccolissime lasagne fatte in casa, alcune fritte, dette in tutto il Salento “tria”, da qui il nome: “La tria di San Giuseppe”

Alla fine del pranzo, Vito serviva a tutti le zeppole di San Giuseppe, le aveva comperate la mattina presto dal bar, vicino alla Porta Grande.

Per ogni povero, Antonietta aveva preparato un fagottino, con dentro una pagnotta di pane, una bottiglia di vino ed altre pietanze rimaste dal pranzo, così potevano mangiare ancora per altri due tre giorni.

La sera quando il sole era calato, Chicco, un signore anziano del vicinato, accendeva la catasta di legna sistemata all’incrocio delle strade.

Piano piano il fuoco prendeva forza, da un angolo all’altro ci si dava voce che il Falò era stato acceso, la gente cominciava ad avvicinarsi.

In prima fila, in cerchio c’erano i ragazzi, quelli più piccoli, dietro quelli più grandi, attorno intere famiglie. Tutti attorno al Falò, per tradizione e per devozione, era proprio bello vedere le fiamme gialle e rosse che si alzavano verso il cielo, oramai fattosi scuro, si vedevano anche le stelle e la luna.

Si cantava, si parlava, si beveva qualche bicchiere di vino, pian piano la serata passava ed il falò con le fiamme e le scintille diventava sempre più bello.

Si andava da un falò all’altro, per vedere quello più bello, il più grande e quello che durava di più.

Ogni tanto si sentiva qualche scoppiettio, erano i rami secchi. Alcuni ragazzi si riempivano le tasche di sale da cucina, quello grosso e, ogni tanto, senza farsene accorgere lo lanciavano nel falò, si sentiva subito scoppiettare ancora e si alzavano tante piccole scintille, molte persone si spaventavano e si allontanavano e i ragazzi ridevano a crepapelle.

Quando la catasta si era quasi consumata e i carboni erano belli ardenti, le persone si riempivano “le frascere”, dei contenitori in rame per il fuoco e le portavano a casa, era il fuoco benedetto di San Giuseppe.

La cenere che rimaneva si raccoglieva ed il giorno dopo i contadini la spargevano in campagna in onore del Santo Falegname.

Era una festa per tutti, per grandi e piccoli, anche se sono passati molti anni non la si può scordare.

Zio Cosimo conclude dicendo:

“Ora la festa è diversa, sono però rimaste le zeppole”.

A zio Cosimo luccicano gli occhi ed io ho un nodo in gola, lo ringrazio per il bel racconto e mi allontano.
