Oh the food at Sharky’s is soooo good!!! Definitely number 1 for me these days in Anguilla 🥇 Now, Rsotto isn’t a dish that I’ve paid much attention to… i mean, Is it rice? Is it pasta?🥴 [google says it’s a type of rice ] But, when you tell me there’s lobster and shrimp in it, then you’re talking my language! Sometimes you have to let it burn. After doing a errand to the Trek store in BH I finally convinced myself I deserve some TLC. It’s was the early afternoon when I entered the eastside El Compadre and the establishment was empty with the exception of staff. I thought to myself, perfect it can be all about me. First up a mango flaming margarita then I studied the menu. I finally wasn’t gonna hold back so I ordered the 12 with a Carne Asada taco side. The 12 is refried bean and rice with a Burrito Ranchera and a pablono Chili Relleno - let the feast begin! I dined and sipped to all was left rice and beans I boxed to enjoy later. It’s been at least a couple of year since I visited El Compadre for a meal and a cocktail. It was a beautiful reunion. It was at the westside location of El Compadre where I met Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. I knew the staff well and they made that happen. The westside was the first time I’d seen Quentin Tarantino before I shot him at the Academy Luncheon nearly a decade later. Then that time that Angelina Jolie caught my eye from the back of the restaurant I could hardly let go as she walked up to the bar near where Duff and I were setting. So I have a soft spot for the place. At Taquería Los Puñales, the menu pretty much provides a variety of options which caters to Taco Lovers 🌮🌮 My favourite was the Barbacoa Jalisco Style (3rd slide). Made with the traditional braised beef shoulder tender. The meat is folded into the tortilla and crispened* in its juices on grill.
