President Malphas - 72 Demons of The Lesser Key of Solomon: The Ars Goetia
The demon Malphas appears in the grimoires Book of Incantations, The Discoverie of Witchcraft, The Book of the Office of Spirits, Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, The Lesser Key of Solomon, and Dictionnaire Infernal
The demon Malphas (Malpas) is a Fallen Angel and 39th of the 72 Spirits of Solomon. Malphas is a powerful president in HELL who appears first as a crow and then, when commanded, as a human who speaks in a hoarse voice. He skillfully builds houses and high towers and brings down the temples and towers of enemies. He will bring deceivers together quickly. He destroys the desires, thoughts, and accomplishments of anyone’s enemies. Malphas gives good Familiars. He will receive a sacrifice kindly but then deceive the one who offers it. Malphas commands 40 legions of Demons.
To highlight his potency and bring it into perspective, Malphas is only second in command to Satan. Among the abilities which Malphas has are the power to put up high towers, strongholds, and castles, construction of houses, destruction of enemy structures, and revealing the thoughts of the enemy to the conjuror. Malphas can also reveal a target’s previous experiences to the conjuror if they so wish. He can also destroy the thought processes of the enemy as well as distorting their desires.
Additionally, the demon can quickly collect artificers from all places across the globe. He can also furnish the conjuror with good familiars upon their request. The demon is also able to create virtually anything using magic. Malphas is described as having a hoarse voice and he often manifests as a raven although he can take up human form in which he has a dark tan but retains the same hoarse voice. Malphas is often depicted as a raven with large grey wings and a blue aura when in demon form. When in human form he has a dark tan with dark brown hair and a goatee. He has high cheekbones, a muscular build, and blue eyes as well as the large grey wings. There are also reports of him appearing so dark that the conjurors can only see his blue eyes.
History
There are no discernible ties to this demon within ancient Graeco-Roman mythologies or Middle Eastern folklore making it difficult to ascertain his origins. It is possible that Malphas was an ancient pagan god who was demonized as Judeo-Christian based religions grew popular across the world. His name was subsequently Latinized before he was banished to hell thus probably distorting his earlier identity. The earliest reports about this demon can be found in the De praestigiis daemonumwhich was published in 1536. The Pseudomonarchia Daemonum states the following regarding the demon Malphas:
” Malphas is a great president, he is seene like a crowe, but being cloathed with humane image, speaketh with a hoarse voice, be buildeth houses and high towres wonderfullie, and quicklie bringeth artificers togither, he throweth downe also the enimies edifications, he helpeth to good familiars, he receiveth sacrifices willinglie, but he deceiveth all the sacrificers, there obeie him fourtie legions.”

Hi, sorry if your the wrong person, but I’m working on a magic system for a dnd game based off of religious symbols and myths, do you know of any interesting symbols/types of demons/ types of angels?
BOY DO I
one of the best places to start would be the Ars Goetia, or lesser key of Solomon, it's a grimoir keeping a record of dozens and dozens of demons, with familiar faces like bael, malphas, and stolas
skip to page 23, there's a long, long list of 72 demons to pick from

Malphas - demon of destruction
Tumblr media
Ars Goetia demon Malphas. I was drawn to him since I had to care of a vehicle which was driven by an individual. Since it was out of the question to cause an accident, I was set to destroy the vehicle beyond repairing. At request, Malphas guided us through the correct procedure of petitioning him such things. ‘His offerings are Barley seed, corn seed, dry cedar tree branch, red wine. In order to send him to destroy anything - draw sigil on round mirror , put the name and birthday under that mirror and petition him.’ Offerings may be given whenever you want, deadlines were useful.
