MAD RAT RUSH! {MRD/HFR}
...So I've been playing a lot of Hi-Fi Rush lately.
I keep on thinking about MRD when looking at HFR stuff/playing HFR (despite the fact that I've never been able to play MRD... PC PORT WHEN NIS? PC PORT WHEN?). Probably because both games MCs gain magical music powers derived from "the beat" by having something weird happen to their heart (also Chai's Rhythm Dash being similar to Mad Rat's dashes, among some other more spoilery comparisons I could make). Decided to draw Mad Rat and Heart in a pose shown off in HFR's reveal trailer. 🤘 ROCK ON 🤘
I hope you like it!

Day 3 of me learning how to animate stuff
It's very very simple, as an animation, but it is helping me figure out the interface and what I can/cannot do on CSP. And, for that, characters with simple designs are really making my job a little easier.
(Also please don't spoil the story of the game for me, I'm still at the very beginning, thank you)

frbfnfnlrbflsbdjfbslkbdksbdkdbf [ingo already has a. Pokemon team.] Hm....
Heart from. Mad Rat Dead!!
Okay, so after reading his wiki page, I have determined he would likely have....
Alolan Raticate (Self explanatory, I think)
Persian (MRD Spoilers, I think? I haven't gotten a chance to play this one yet!)
Heart Trim Furfrou (Heart themed)
Alomomola (Heart themed)
Loudred (Sound based Pokemon for the rhythm game. I figured Exploud would be too aggressive.)
Reuniclus (I think Reuniclus fits the "living organ" theme)

Another scenario idea that has been plaguing me since yesterday. This involves our very first Link, game wise not timeline, Hyrule for people in the LU section of the fandom.
It's companion related since he's one of the Links who didn't had a partner to help throughout his adventures. Who I have in mind is something not many people would've thought of. Mainly cause this partner comes from a rare gem amongst gaming: Mad Rat and Heart from Mad Rat Dead.
Yup! The undead rat with attitude and his sweetheart of a beating pal! If you guys are wondering, there will be vague mentions about any events from the game but nothing else. Just know these two have been undead for a LONG time.
(For anyone wondering, Mad Rat Dead is a game where you play as a rat who was given a second chance to relive his last day. Pretty great music, story and the gameplay is very interesting. Highly recommend it whether it be watching a playthrough or playing.)
Anyway, Link would meet this odd duo on his 5th birthday when Mad Rat gets chased by a ChuChu. The kid quickly saves him before the monster could have undead rat for lunch. It doesn't take long before a friendship forms between them.
Mad Rat and Heart's game is a rhythm type with two special mechanics. The first is 'Beat' where his speed alongside capabilities get a huge boost by matching the beat of each level's respective song. And the second but also most important ability being Rewind.
Rewinding time is a huge focal point throughout the story as Mad Rat can rewind time back to the beginning of a day. This ability comes into play when you accidentally make a fatal mistake and choose when to restart at a more preferable point.
Powers that get shared with Hyrule as the undead duo become familiars to our half fairy. Think of it like Cadence of Hyrule but there's time manipulation too. A unique contract that benefits both in more ways than one especially as Link can understand the two.
Relationship wise, it's quite familial between the three akin to siblings. Link being the curious yet mischievous youngest, Mad Rat the rugged foul-mouthed oldest and awkward softie Heart in the middle. Whether Hyrule would become a Great Fairy might happen but it depends on how well it can fit.
They do get involved with the Chain much to Mad Rat's distaste. After their second adventure, he figures his little brother needs a break. Hyrule's safety is more important to him. Something Heart agrees as the boy didn't really have much peace and relaxation.
Mad Rat might've purposely steered Hyrule away from the group as they search for the hero. Even more so when Time(OoT/MM) uses the Song of Time to intercept the trio. Hyrule might've learned some new swears from an angry Mad Rat.
You can thank Dink for the band of brothers finally meeting the Chain. And Mad Rat trying to kill Time thanks to the headaches from 'Groundhog Day Symphony'. (Basically both of them were screwing with time back and forth that it was practically looping.) It's definitely going to be awkward affair with the group henceforth cause this trio are gonna drive everyone mad.
That's all I have for now! Until next time folks, I'll see you back in Hyrule so continue to follow that beat!
