Citadel Fashion Week 2022: Work Week!

I'm staying on Omega but venturing near the legendary club Afterlife instead! I hesitated doing this piece as it's on the fence when it comes to general work safety and the rules of the event, but I'm glad I went for it!

From front to back:

Lur is half-batarian and never left Omega in over two hundred years living there. She worked her way up by dancing in smaller clubs until she was noticed. Lur has a miner girlfriend and assumes the role of step-mother for two batarian boys. While laid-back and fun to be around, Lur is completely unfazed by the demands and threats of her boss and prioritizes her family before anything else.

Riviere is half-turian, and a journalist first. She writes about interplanetary commerce with a critical bite, but her unflinching style made it difficult to fund her investigations: hence Omega as a subject of study, and Afterlife as her way to make ends meet. Observant and quiet, she's very good friends with Lur.

Vaetoria is a turian, and a deserter. She doesn't mingle with anyone, isn't particularly pleasant, and hustles for cash and nothing else. As one of the only non-asari of the club, she's never brought on the main stages and works in the lower levels --which is more than fine by her.

The Sun Altar

A portion of the Bronze Age monument Fluberget near Stavanger in Norway.

Fluberget is a rock covered in 170 visible carved figures and 80 cup marks, most of them surrounding giant's kettles formed in the last ice age. The largest concentration of carvings can be found in the depression on the south facing wall called the Sun Altar.

It may have been an important gathering place of religious significance, especially since two large bronze Lurs were found in a bog 200 meters away.

Literatur und Recht

In 'unserer' Schriftenreihe Literatur und Recht ist ein neuer Band erschienen! Das ist natürlich Manfred Schneiders Projekt, und hier schreiben immer noch die Autoren und Autorinnen die Bücher, aber wir 'kooperieren' gerne. Manfred Schneider ist sowohl der Romulus als auch der Remus jener Literaturwissenschaft, von der ich was mitbekomme, mit dem einzigen Unterschied, dass er nicht von einer kapitolinischen Wölfin, sonder einer ostpreußischen Dackelhündin im Leben gehalten wurde. Wenn man das so deklarieren dürfte, dann würde ich glatt behaupten, er wäre mir wahlverwandt. So kann ich nur sagen, dass man ihm verdammt gut über Dackel fachsimpeln kann, inklusive über ihre rhetorischen Fähigkeiten.
