Just a quick little snippet of my Farmer and Luke from Coral Island. I have made a one sided enemies to friends (to possibly more) headcanon for them while I have been playing through the game. I’m sorry if it stinks!
It started with that damn letter.
Eden woke up at her usual time, today was the start of the 3rd week of Spring. Her hazel eyes opened slowly, squinting at the morning sun that came through her window. Sitting up in bed, she stretched her arms over her head and let out a deep yawn.
After a second, her mind drifted. ‘How did I get home?’ she thought as she got up, padding across her room to her wardrobe, realizing that she was still in yesterday's clothes. The last thing that Eden recalled was her leaning against a tree on her way home late afternoon. She was tired from work that day, but a bug caught her eye that she hadn’t seen before and she decided to catch it.
“Curious…” she muttered to herself, changing into fresh clothes. She checked the weather as she pulled on her work boots. It was supposed to rain tomorrow which would mean a much needed break for her.
Still feeling a bit tired from whatever happened to her, Eden headed outside to start tending to her crops. The flag on her mailbox caught her eye and she decided to go ahead and check it. Grabbing the envelope, she recognized her name in an elegant cursive script on the top.
With a curious arch of her eyebrow, she tore open the letter, her eyes scanning the page. Immediately the feeling of irritation started to blossom through her chest, realizing who the letter was from. Luke.
From the moment that she met him earlier in the season, Eden disliked him. Though she knew that her immediate judgment of him may have been a bit harsh, she honestly didn’t care. He was everything she couldn’t stand. While she worked for everything she had, he didn’t have to. And that fact bugged her to no end.
“Of course he had to be the one that found me.” She muttered, lips pressing together in frustration as she read his letter. She rolled her eyes as he recounted finding her and bringing her to see Yuri and Charles. His dry, snobby tone was evident even in writing.
Reading the last line about her bill, she rolled her eyes again and went to look for said bill that was supposed to be attached. Only…there wasn’t one. At that revelation, she crumpled the paper she had in her hand in aggravation and shoved it in her pocket. Damn rich people.
