I have a new favorite mountain location...and nobody else was there! The vegetation is gorgeous, so lush and green. Apparently it has been the wettest June since 1846 (and records only began in 1845). Not your usual Boulder County background for senior pictures!

It is always interesting to see before and after pictures.   During your photo-session I always shoot wider to ensure I have maximum flexibility on how to crop and showcase your picture.   It is also really important to capture as many pixels as possible, so that I can work my magic in Photoshop.  Capturing extra flowers is always helpful so I swap out any flowers that have gone to seed.   Loving senior pictures 2021!!

December is the one time I love visiting the mail box.  Sending and receiving Holiday cards makes me feel more connected to my community, friends and family.  Seeing how everyone has grown, hearing what people have been up to, sending love and messages, is so special.  I always find getting a card together a challenge, but ultimatley a worthwhile one.  So, I’d like to wish you all a very happy, healthy and card filled Holiday!!

Rum Raison, Cherry, Distressed Black and Fine Gallery Black are some of my most popular frames.  My fabulous printer/framer WHCC just brought out Rustic Timber, which I was so excited to see when it arrived!  It is slightly darker than my order screenshot...really rich and gorgeous.  Gotta love the no fuss of  hanging your favorite picture straight on the wall!

Playful, action shots get the kids so excited in family photo-sessions.  Obviously we had a blast here!  Making the most of fall color...although it is hard to compete with those awesome sneakers!

So sad to hear our St Vrain schools are closing due to rapidly escalating Covid numbers in our area.  I spent a morning at Boulder Country Day School in September, photographing the new normal of kids in masks.  I was amazed how well the pupils were doing (pre-schoolers in particular), they seemed to have forgotten they were wearing masks.  It was a weird but joyful visit...hearing the laughter of kids connecting and working in person.   Let’s hope this new level of lock down has an impact, vaccines come quickly, that our kids can get back to school and we can visit, hug and hold our families & friends soon!! 

Izzy’s virtual prom passed in a bit of a blur.  It was particularly frustrating as it started hailing and I mean really coming down, as soon as she was ready.   Fortunately having  a photo-studio on hand and I captured a couple of pictures to mark the occasion.   Along with so many other things, high schoolers have missed out Prom dress pictures.  So....if you would like, anyone reserving a high school seniors picture before June 15th, will get a free digital image of themselves all dressed up!  Let’s see you sparkle!

A number of people have asked if I'm offering "Porch Pictures".  These are mini photo sessions where I meet you outside your home and capture you all enjoying some family time. As a small business I've been trying to work out how best to serve my clients.  I think this is a fun distraction...plus it's important to document these crazy times. I've also been looking for ways to support our community.  To that end $100 from your session will be donated to The OUR Center in Longmont. They've been working hard to provide support and basic supplies to some of the hardest hit. I haven't reached out before because I want to abide by the Governor's guidelines and stay-at-home order.  As restrictions are lifted I'm looking to offer a limited number of sessions, but with specific guidelines: - It must be at your residence and outside only. - We will stay at least 6 ft apart and I will wear a mask. - Pets are always welcome. The mini-sessions are available on a first-come basis and include: * 30 minute session. * Preparation guide on "How to look your best for pictures". * Flexible timing to get the best light and fit in with your new schedule. * Online review and 5 retouched digital images. * Option to purchase gift prints, canvases, frames, additional digital images.
