my brain definitely manifests them a certain way but im curious to who you imagine!!
AHHH YES OMG HI!
So I left a lot of these non-existent or vague so people can plug in themselves and people they love BUT here’s who I picture 😍
Doc: I don’t really have an actor who fits her so I made this AI thing when I was thinking up the character? But I’ve pictured her as fairly petite (5’2”-5’4” ish?), small but not skinny, rounded but not thicc. Basically just the personification of softness and femininity. She’s got a lot of hair that’s wavy/curly that gets out of control easily and her personal style is the thrift shop version of Jess from New Girl. She looks like someone the apocalypse will chew up and spit out.
Andrew: my sweet baby angel! When we first meet him, he is 110% Lucas from Stranger Things. Fairly baby faced but brave in the face of it all - and still able to find happiness and joy. By the time Doc leaves the QZ, I’m kind of leaning Donald Glover? Someone mentioned they cast him as Andrew Garfield and I kinda love that too lol
Jess: Our third member of the codependency squad (who was honestly way understanding of her boyfriend/husband’s weird attachment and we love her for it) and resident comedian is, in my head, Doctor Who era Karen Gillan. Red hair, vibe of sass and strength but also naïveté (and so pretty that we can’t blame Andrew for gawking at her for months) we love her.
Derek: the good guy who might have been if it weren’t for trauma and Joel! He’s 40 year old James Marsden. Just… *chef’s kiss* Look between him, Joel and Tommy? Doc can PULL. Someone said they cast Oscar Isaac here and look… Oscar is like maybe the one man I might find more attractive than Pedro, it depends on the day BUT I cannot cast him as anything but a leading man. Oscar and Pedro can only be end game in my book (but I will accept any and all HC castings lol)
Kristen: Our favorite, competent as HELL trauma nurse! I pictured her as being unexpectedly feisty coming from a small, pretty, blonde package. Does she seem like someone you’d underestimate? Poor choice on your part but that’s her. Malin Akerman is who she is for me!
Marta: our tough still figuring it out assistant turned expert nurse! I wanted someone sweet but strong who could be both naive and brilliant, so Ana de Armas it is! Only realized just now that her name in Knives Out is also Marta lol I FORGOT THAT BUT OH WELL!
Elias: Our stalwart dogooder under the umbrella of FEDRA turned exhausted man trying to keep people alive, Elias is a kind hearted leader trying to do the best he can with what very little he has. His caring and drive I think are exemplified in Jimmy Smits - especially West Wing era Jimmy Smits at the beginning of the fic.

a good man goes to war probably the Most doc who episode of all time. The epic highs and lows of moffat. it’s possible that trying to combine your screwball high flying funky star wars homage episode with your self serious very important character and plot development episode is stupid and does not work… or maybe it does? But of course combined with one of the most insanely dumb plot reveals of all time, to have ever happened on this earth. But also karen gillan acting down. But also… flesh baby. Look how they impregnated my girl literally probably the most fucked up and evil thing to happen to a companion like whatttt is this? BUT ALSO THE INTRO OF VASTRA AND JENNY AND STRAX. But also flesh baby…..Unless flesh baby is secretly awesome? im coming around to flesh baby. But also amy trapped in a well george lucas gave his girls more agency in the 70s moffat you freak. Is this episode legendarically terrible is it Really cool and awesome and ambitious and doing the most all the time are there themes. Can we unpack this. No. Like it’s literally all in service of some stupid bullshit really.. But what if it wasnt

there is something so delightful about this movie. it’s fun, it’s camp, and i will never say no to jack black shenanigans and karen gillan being a BAMF. also bethany is transmasc send tweet
9) Ant-Man and the Wasp
i will fight tooth and nail about the fact that the ant-man movies are the best movies from the mcu. if there is any mcu movie i rewatch and don’t scrub through, it’s this one.
8) Girl VS Monster
this movie is pure art. diemata’s “nothing’s gonna stop me now” is a cultural reset for me. also the skylar/ryan/myra throuple just about being canon when they sing “had me @ hello” together at the end of the movie??? we love to see poly rep
7) Knives Out
this movie is just art. i love a good murder mystery and this is great with a rewatch. i think glass onion was really great too but this one in particular will hold a special place in my heart.
6) Lovestruck
i’m SO mad that they moved this to hulu premium because it used to be on the freeform app. but basically it’s a movie musical where a woman takes a de-aging potion and tries to get her daughter’s husband to cheat on her daughter with her now young self. it’s got drew seely and chelsea kane singing “dj got us fallin’ in love” and i want to perform this dance at my wedding. also “how can i remember to forget” is SUCH a good ballad
5) Enchanted
who doesn’t love enchanted? it’s my favorite disney movie and though the sequel is mid, the original will ALWAYS be the best. the “so close” scene where robert starts singing UGH my heart.
4) Crazy Rich Asians
this is one of those movies that i find myself rewatching a lot with my family specifically. we can quote some scenes verbatim. we just love this movie. it’s a delight.
3) Room
this is a big change in tone but i just love this movie. i stan brie larson. stream “finally out of p.e.” that album slaps. but yeah it’s just heartbreaking and it’s always great on the rewatch and jacob tremblay is so good and so is brie larson and i just love it. it hurts me but in the best way possible.
2) Free Guy
i can’t articulate how much i love this movie. ryan reynolds. jodie corner. joe keery. the guy who plays rajit in basmati blues. it’s so funny and it’s one that i will never get sick of and it just brings me so much joy.

this movie is awful. it’s terrible. it’s near unwatchable. but it is my Favorite Movie. i know so much of it by heart. i know the choreography. i know every lyric of every song. i bought the deluxe album on apple music. i’ve watched it with every person who lets me subject them to this awful movie. i’ve had friendships threatened because of this movie. i know way too much about this movie and the actors in it. i’ve seen the original web series just as much. if you haven’t watched the movie and love bad movies, watch it. it’s got drew seeley as an angsty vampire who is SO politically incorrect named trey sylvania. it’s got lucas grabeel (ryan from high school musical) as the lead. and it’s got the 17 year old daughter of the producer playing the main female love interest and her performace is absolutely grueling and i love her so much. apparently she works with snakes now??? go you queen.
