The thing is yes Louis is British and so is Harry. Yet we don’t see him manspread as much or boast about drinking beer (and I’m sure he does). It’s just the way it’s almost like Louis can’t talk about anything else: the trendy/healthy food he hates, the junk food he loves, his inability to cook, beer, vodka, Redbull, he even hates wine and picnics. He calls himself trashy as if that’s how he wants to be seen. Which is a shame cause to me not liking wine and eating microwave meals don’t make someone “trashy”. Anyway that’s how he wants to be portrayed, probably to get away from the boyband image (it’s even in interviews from his team, they say how he wants fans to see the “real” him and wants to deconstruct his boyband image), but then you listen to his music and there’s not even a swear word?! It’s all romantic beautiful lovely lyrics. There is a disconnect, but who’s the real Louis then? The one we get to know when we listen to his songs or the one talking in interviews? I know he’s not one-dimensional and he can be all of that, it just seems like it’s not what he wants us to believe.
This entire message... it just made me cringe so much. And at the same time, it made me a little heartbroken. Because what you're saying here is that he can't like football, drink beer and whatever and at the same time be soft, sweet and write beautiful lyrics. How in the world does one thing make the other invalid here? So much for gender representation.
I mean- have you heard his new album? His lyrics? His music videos? About being proud of who he is, about Donny, about being drunk and silly and high. And you're out there making a fool of yourself by judging all of that as something bad, just because he's not swearing in his lyrics so you think it's inconsistent? What I think it's inconsistent about Louis' image is his father-of-the-year talk, about his long-term relationship lyrics that don't seem to be about anyone specific. Not about what he eats, because who the fuck cares, anon. Yes, I do think he talks out of his arse a lot and that are some parts of himself he seems way more comfortable sharing with people. He's a brand after all and everything we see about him and Harry, it's not really them. But I have no fucking clue what kind of new conspiracy theory is this that some of you are on about these days like Louis is being forced to say he only cooks microwave meals so he can't be who he says he is. Next thing we know people will be trending #FreeLouis because he can't say he likes prosecco.
Don't get me wrong, Louis will always make me roll my eyes with all the football talk and whatever... but boys will be boys, let him be. Let him be whatever he wants, I don't think he's trying to get away from his boyband image, I think he's just finally being himself and claiming what feels comfortable for him and what he's proud of. He clearly can't share all the parts of himself with us and now you're trying to repress what he wants and can share. I think comments like yours trying to fit him in a specific stereotype are such a disservice to Louis and to his entire fanbase. I'm so sorry he's not who you think he should be, but you're going to have to suck it up because he's as masculine as he's a hopelessly romantic.

Louis music just hits differently. Do you know what I mean? It might not be everyones cup of tea but it's just different. It's like hearing a baby's heartbeat in a mothers belly. You know it's real but you can't help but think how is that even remotely possible for a person to carry such delicate and beautiful thing. Following Louis media narrative you can't help but wonder how such person reduced to someone so horrible in every sense create and write music that tugs your heart strings.
You see the Louis in interviews who brushes off compliments, is a lad who loves beer and football and vodka Redbull and his smokes. Then you see the person who loves to be pampered, who loves that someone makes him pretty, who choose sweater paws and sparkles, who has such elegance and softness in his thoughts, his movements and laugh.
There is so much that’s interesting, mature, contradictory, and smart about Louis. It makes him endlessly fascinating. He isn’t given opportunities but creates them. There’s something irresistible and magnetic about his presence. He holds himself with seriousness and gravity, but also with a probing, absorbing, insatiable curiosity. He is vulnerable, magnanimous, self-aware, and incredibly perceptive.
His songs communicate a straightforward tenderness. There’s no whinging or self-pity. The feelings of love and loss, of anger and regret and hope, are shared simply and generously. He embraces our emotions, gives us kindness in return.
Indeed, you wonder how someone so maligned by the media is still resilient, despite all the poisonous darts thrown at him. He is both soft and strong, both a fort and a strategist. And the softest parts have survived. They’ve helped him to stay grounded and human. He is beautiful.
