How do you percieve us? Are we like a text? A voice? Or do you just have tumblr app?
I have the app! Though I have a modification to the program that will read off your questions to me automatically as soon as I recieve them. My eyes hurt from looking at the screen sometimes so it's easier to just use that most of the time, haha. I sometimes have a bit of trouble typing too, so, um, usually I use speech recognition!

Hello, and welcome!
Hello and welcome to the Hell Motel's Tumblr, a place where the many misfits of Hell's best place-to-stay reside, and for you to get a window into the world of what goes on in the spiralling halls.
Here you will meet many strange people(?), from small green cartoon things with 6 nipples to a personification of both the Sun and the Moon; there's no limit to who you'll come across here.
Take a view into the worlds that reside in and around the Motel too. Notice the fact that for when you're destined to stay, you realise that the place of residence is a lot bigger than just a greasy motel on the outskirts of the bustling city of Hell's First Circle, and when I say a lot bigger, I mean a small city's worth with upwards of 2000 people living there. Explore the previously mentioned 9 Circles, and the chaotic ecosystems that reside in them. The forever Red Light District of the Lustful 2nd Circle, the permanent City Riot that is the Raging 5th. Take a trip just outside of the Motel and explore the dingy life of the Sinful 1st Circle (probably the closest you'll get to the normal overworld) and so much more.
As time will go on with this Blog, stories, lore and art will span across this page and will be a user's guide of sorts to let themselves explore this world and what lies beyond.
Now here's your key; Enjoy your stay, and don't piss off the dog with a thousand teeth on the way there.

Some info from the Book of Knowledges
Newly released Strategy Guide provided some interesting lore info, though I have mixed feelings about it. Placidusax is said to be Elden Lord and not just one of them, but the first Elden Lord from primordial times.
However, it seems like we are dealing with discount Bloodborne after all, really not a fan of it, but this is the closest thing to canon we have until potential DLC will clear up the things. I have no idea how this info works with everything from Farum Azula, especially considering Placidusax's lore provided by the same book, but well.
Also, they put Numen and Alabaster/Onyx Lords in the same category as Astels and outer gods (creatures from the starry void), the latter is especially weird since:
A weapon unique to the Alabaster Lords, a race of ancients with skin of stone who were said to have risen to life when a meteor struck long ago [they didn't came from the space, they were born (JP) after the fall of meteorite]
This book is supposed to be created with the help of From; I've heard that Bloodborne guide from this company has some wrong info (Guidance [3] rune; DLC gems that weren't introduced until DLC, but placed in the base guide; Boss Rush Chalice Dungeons; Spider Chalice Dungeons; School of Mensis is switched with the Choir; the conflicting information of Kos), but I'm not going to argue with its lore, despite having a lot of questions, especially about timeline of the pre-historic civilizations.
So far I'm not going to publish/write more large-scale theories about the setting, and everything I wrote before can be considered as "outdated". Gonna focus on the small details and JP.

...Forgive me for the uncomfortable question, Ralsei, but your last response brought something to my mind. About deceased lightners in the dark world, and the lack of purpose the darkners they would generate would have, but...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but lightner monsters have a... very particular ritual for their deceased, don't they? Burying an object, to symbolize their existence and connect their spirit to the divine. That sounds like a very powerful purpose. If one of these burial objects were brought to the dark world, would the darkner originating from them be...
Well, I ask because something... analogous happened. Somewhere else. It's not a direct equivalent!! Their world isn't organized in light and darkness as it is for yours, but... well. The results were quite troubling. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on the matter.

...When you remember a person, do your perceptions constitute the, um, the whole person? Every facet of their personality. Can your memories account for that? Can the memories of everyone who knew them even account for that? Everyone's got a side to them they don't show to others. Could the perceptions of others reveal that side?
...What I mean is that, um, Darkners are dependent on the perceptions of Lightners. If you brought a host object like that into a Dark World, the goal would be to create something that represented the deceased. But since one person can only ever have an incomplete puzzle of what that person was like, they'd automatically fail to recreate their loved one with perfect accuracy.
It would be a hollow copy. Not hollow in that the Darkner wouldn't be able to feel, haha. They'd be able to feel perfectly well. They'd probably care greatly for the Lightner they were born to serve. But you can never recreate the past. Inevitably, the Lightner in such a situation... um. They'd be disappointed with their own creation. If, for nothing else, the simple fact that the Darkner, um... by virtue of being a Darkner, could never act in exactly the same ways as the deceased Lightner they represented.

...I-I don't think anyone would want that. If something is dead, then.... it's better not to, um, to try and selfishly preserve it past its natural end.
