Your best guess is that you've been in this time loop for something north of 15 years. You've lived that day, April 9th, 1997, something like 6000 times. You think... The second most ironic thing about being in this time loop* is that you have ADHD, and time blindness has always been something you've suffered with.

The time loop hasn't helped. You'll really get into a book, and don't look up from it until it's yesterday. Or, earlier today? Or tomorrow, it's all the same day. You wake up in your bed at 8:27, having slept through your alarm, no matter what happens. You've had plenty of time to do all the classic time loop things: told everyone (they forget the next day), kissed everyone (a surprising number of people turn out to be up for itl), tried to run (you made it all the way to Memphis one day, but it didn't make any difference), tried to make everything perfect and right (harder than you'd think, and there's nothing obvious that needs fixing), and gotten yourself exploded and shot and run over. You even made it into orbit once, NASA still swearing at you on the radio the whole way up. You've robbed all the local banks, kidnapped the mayor, and stolen half the stuff in the town, just to see what people have. Why not? It's hard to have a sense of morality when there are no repercussions to any actions, at least none that last more than 24 hours.

You convinced a scientist to shoot neutrinos at you once, thanks to something you'd read in a book on time. Didn't seem to make any difference, though you could swear the next day felt different, in some hard to define way.

You've gotten into a rhythm of starting each day and just walking out your front door, to visit a different place in the city, and knock on their door. If they're home, you ask questions, then use the answers next time to get further. If not, you let yourself in and see what their house looks like from the inside.

Even their shocking crimes no longer can shock you. Mr. Stevens is a burgler, Jenny J. is halfway through murdering her husband, Alex over on 5th street has a basement full of photos they shouldn't have, and more neighbors than you'd think are cooking meth or growing cannabis in their little backyard sheds or closets.

You can go to the police, you can confront them, you can explose them, or you can get a weapon and go all vigilante on them... It doesn't matter in the long run (and for you, the long run is very short indeed). They'll be fine the next morning, back at it again like nothing happened.

You wake up that same Wednesday morning, put on some clothes, and walk out the door. You got into a gimmick of crossing the road with your eyes closed: you know where the cars are, and if you keep the same pace, they definitely won't hit you. Besides, if you do, you wake up back in your bed. Big woop.

But you don't make it to the road this time. You trip, falling on the hard concrete of the sidewalk. What the hell? Your arms ache from catching yourself, and you have to suppress the time-looper instinct of "I hurt. Restart the loop!",at least until you figure out what happened.

You look back and there's a sneaker sitting on the sidewalk. A perfectly normal shoe, just a little skuffed up. A bit down the sidewalk, there's another, the other foot presumably.

You have a moment of equal parts panic and elation. You're out of the loop? You're out of the loop! This might be Thursday.

You gather yourself from the sidewalk and run back up the path to your door. You open the newspaper... April 9th. This is still the same day. You look back at the road, seeing the patterns of crossing cars you've seen thousands of times before. You listen, and your neighborhood sounds right. You can hear Timothy down the road yelling about baseball, so it's not 9:14 yet.

This isn't a new day. This is the day. This is your day. So why is something different? What, a partial time loop? And almost time loop? Most things are the same, but not all? It makes no sense.

You hear yelling down the road. You jog towards it, as an out of place sound just doesn't happen in your day. Around the corner there's a police officer shouting at a woman who is rapidly disrobing and flinging her discarded clothes at the officer, who is shouting at her and his radio. So far, she seems to be winning, but she's about out of linen ammunition.

You realize you don't recognize her. She's not one of the people you know, and you know everyone. She's someone new, the very anthesis of what a time loop is about. That, combined with recognizing that charicatistic disdain for consequences makes you gasp. My God... She's another time looper. She's done this day before, and it's just repeated, and now she's doing everything to see what happens. You're not alone in this crowded city anymore! You run towards her, eager to introduce yourself.

* Themost ironic thing about being in this time loop is that every copy of Groundhog Day at your local Blockbuster is checked out.

My "Fracture" event experience

The new map looks so beautiful!

My opinion:

Well well we have to talk, the event was a bit disappointing, Fortnite gave us more questions than answers.

I did not understand everything that happened at the event, we heard the paradigm practically say goodbye but we never saw her die, everything was so weird. Did the paradigm really sacrifice itself and die?

what happened with the rest of "The Seven" ?

What happened to the rest of the loopers that were chromed?

What happened to the scientists, the visitor and the origin that were captured by the herald's chrome?

I understand that the intention of Fortnite with the "missions" was to give the impression that we helped "build" the new island, but they left many things in the air, they did not explain much to us.

It was kind of sad because we heard the paradigm of how she was going to sacrifice herself to save us, she wasn't sure if she would survive or not, so, she said goodbye to all of us to give us a new home…

La verdad no entendi todo lo que paso en el evento, escuchamos a paradigma despedirse pero nunca la vimos morir , todo fue un poco extraño. Paradigma se sacrifico y murió?

¿Qué paso con el resto de trotabucles que fueron hechos cromo?

¿Qué paso con el científico, el visitante y el origen que fueron capturados por el cromo de la Heraldo?

Yo entiendo que la intencion de foernite con las misiones dentro del evento eran darnos la impresion de nosotros ayudamos a construir la nueva isla, pero nos dejaron con muchas dudas, pues, no nos explcaron mucho.

La verdad fue un poco triste porque escuchamos a La Paradigma decir como iba a sacrificarse para salvarnos y ella no estaba segura si sobreviviría o no, así que se despidió de todos nosotros para darnos un nuevo hogar…

here’s more about the memory wipe au from my edit if anyone’s interested!

i was thinking about how destroying the loop would affect the people stuck in it, and decided that they’d probably all revert to the moment before the loop began. meaning total memory wipes, and everyone getting sent back into whatever life they lived prior to being looped. they also begin to age normally.

for clarity’s sake, this only affects people that originated from the island itself. characters from other realities would be sent back to wherever they came from. as foundation says in the c3s1 cinematic, leaving the loop means “we can all go home.”

and even though jones has escaped the loop, he still lived on the island before everything went down. the seven remain unaffected, both because of their airtight suits, and because none of them are from the island (at least, in my headcanon. they all arrived after the loop began)

the seven didn’t realize the side effects of destroying the loop. scientist may have had hypotheses, but they had no way of knowing for sure. their looper allies, including jones, vanished in an instant—returning to some random day hundreds of years ago, before they were ever looped.

it’s incredibly bittersweet. the seven are glad to have liberated the zero point and freed the loopers from a never ending war. but nobody besides the seven would ever remember what happened. jones would go on to live a normal life, oblivious to the fact he helped save his own reality. and of course, he’d lose the bonds he had built with the seven.

in a happy ending, i think the seven would continue serving as the island’s protectors. so people would still know who they were, just not what they had done. and this would give them the chance to reconnect with jones, and maybe eventually he’d believe all their outlandish stories.

or in a less-than-happy ending (and the inspiration for my edit), the seven can’t return to the island at all. their presence would cause rifts to open again, and they don’t want to risk any more reality-bending. instead, they have to abandon the island, and any chance of seeing jones again.

it’s an a interesting dynamic for foundation and jones. jones was essentially a fanboy of the seven, at least while researching them at the io. and it’s clear he admired foundation. but after the wipe, he would never know they existed. and it’d be foundation missing the blonde dingdong, not the other way around.

'Considering the politically charged topic of nuclear weapons at the center of Christopher Nolan's latest film, it's no surprise really that "Oppenheimer" — which is currently on the path to beating an interesting box office record — is as controversial as it is. However, being that the film is meant to be a biopic for its titular scientist, some are wondering just how accurate the movie is with regard to the real events as they took place.

One particular scene in "Oppenheimer," a film that some critics say sanitizes the bomb, is drawing extra attention, though, and not just because it features frequent Nolan collaborator Gary Oldman. The scene in question sees J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) meeting with President Harry S. Truman (Oldman), and to say that things do not go well would be an understatement.

Reckoning with the effects of his work on the future of mankind, Oppenheimer tells Truman that he feels like he has blood on his hands. This causes Truman to coldly offer his handkerchief and later say that he doesn't want to see that "crybaby scientist" in his office ever again. Was Truman really so crass, though? Well, according to the history, accounts differ on whether he really said precisely that. However, all accounts seem to point to an unpleasant meeting between the two historical figures.

No matter what he said, the meeting did not go well

As noted by SFGate, the problem with narrowing down exactly what Harry S. Truman said to J. Robert Oppenheimer on that fateful day is partially down to Truman himself, who changed his own account when retelling the story. In some retellings, he said, "It will all come out in the wash," while others have him offering his handkerchief, as he does in the film.

However, the meeting plays out a little bit less intensely in the book "American Prometheus" by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherman, which "Oppenheimer" is based on. "I told him the blood was on my hands — to let me worry about that," Truman is supposed to have said. Still, other versions have him ranting to a subordinate afterward, saying, "Blood on his hands, dammit, he hasn't half as much blood on his hands as I have. You just don't go around bellyaching about it."

Though many accounts agree that Truman did inevitably refer to Oppenheimer as a crybaby, this came later and was not actually overheard by the scientist as he was leaving the Oval Office. Either way, while we may never know the specifics of these types of conversations, we can definitely ascertain that the short meeting between the two did not go well.'

The more I think about shipping Jonesy and Good Doc together, the more I see them not getting along due to the story I have.

Doc, Slone, AC and Jonesy were good friends before the reality project took root, but the only two people still being very good friends are AC and Good Doctor.

I mean, Slone pushed AC into the reality well and saw that Doc saw it, and then invalidated his claims to others about what happened or straight up threatened him.

The thing is though, that him and AC were one of a TEENY TINY set of scientists working on the reality project, and since Doc was on the team and probably knew where AC went, Slone had to make Jonesy not trust anything he or his team had to say.

Unfortunately, this made Jonesy ignore any and all attempts from Doc and the team telling him about what exactly was happening with the Zero Point when he was goofing around just before the event where Midas started raising the dead.

These attempts at explaining what was happening were hyper important, involving the ZP actually CALLING PEOPLE TO IT TO GET IT THE HELL OUT OF THE LOOP BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY, INCLUDING KILLING IT.

Doc eventually had enough of Slone's threats and Jonesy not listening, that him and his team jumped into the ZP, forcing Slone to get a whole new inexperienced team.

This lead to a string of bullshit leading up to Doc trying to tell Jonesy during the Seven vs Imagined Order war about the ZP's screaming fits. Jonesy once again does not listen, but the Scientist does hear him and gets the idea to investigate.

It isn't until after Jonesy finds out Doc is on the scientist's team that he finally listens, but that's well after Doc is properly accepted by the Seven as one of their scientists and well after he's obtained a way to talk to AC in STW, or 'The reality of no address' in my whole story.

Obviously Doc goes off on Jonesy and chastises him as having been far too trusting in Slone and that the only reason he's telling him anything is to get the loopers out of hell's path and that he has no interest in anything else other than that.

On Satoko and Vier...

I was debating about what Lambda (as opposed to Satoko)’s opinion on academics would be, and it only just now clicked.

Eua insistently calling Satoko “Vier” while Satoko can’t stand studying isn't just a Lambda reference, it's also SUPER ironic.

Because Vier’s big thing in Ciconia is that she was a genius scientist who faked a suicide in order to give up her life as a normal human and devote her entire existence to researching God’s Wisdom. In other words: she loves studying! More than anything!

(Or, well, she calls it “translation” rather than pure studying, but the point is: she’s given up literally everything - possibly even including a husband and child - all for the sake of academics.)

Anyway, you wanna talk about looper allergies?

Eua implies that whatever Satoko was beforehand, she’d been looping millions of times in order to meet a god… so Vier, how long were you studying?!

Forget Rika and St Lucia, Satoko may have been burned out on religious-flavored academia from her echoes of another life. XD

Also, it’s probably pointless to try to build a meta timeline and yet, and yet…

I wonder, could Satoko and Takano both being present in Higurashi be related to Satoko’s missing meta-memories? Like whatever (probably horrifying and eldritch) thing Vier/Mitsuyo/LD3105 did in order to loop to meet a god, maybe it also shattered their meta-existence in some way. And perhaps the piece with the memories granted certainty to Takano while the other (amnesiastic) piece became Satoko?

And then presumably those pieces joined back together to form Lambda sometime before Umineko, I guess. Much like how Hanyuu seems to have regained her older Eua form to become Featherine.

Alternatively, another thing I’m wondering is whether Eua might just be outright mistaken! Maybe Satoko isn’t and wasn’t ever Vier. But because a god mixed the two up and gave Satoko power in Vier’s name, it means that now Satoko’s meta-existence is intertwined with Vier’s. Whoopsie!

Hi! I never played fortnite much, but from what I learned of it, the whole setting is very fascinating! I saw your post about wanting to go on about the lore and story and such and so I figured I might ask, could you offer like a summary or something about "everything fortnite"? Perhaps some advice how (or if) to make verses for muses with it when not knowing the game all that well, or something?

giving a ' to long don't read ' summary: there is this big ball of energy called the zero point which is more or less kinda the center of reality itself? whoever holds control over it , holds control over reality. its what created reality zero aka the world of f/ortnite itself! IO ( bad guys ) and the seven ( good guys ) have been fighting for control over it for - longer than us as loopers even know.

currently the IO has control over it ( at least from what the lore has told us ) and have taken over the island , the seven are trying to fight back and retake the island and according to the scientist ( one of the seven ) the only one who can really save all reality is the paradigm. one of the seven who has been MIA since around season X.

who i have to many thoughts on because that's a lot of pressure to put on one character and there a ton of speculation over her character and i could literally rant for hours over her just ask my friend kip

and theres a lot more tbh but that would literally take hours to go through and it can get reallly confusing - and putting the ‘ how to make verses ‘ bit under the cut bc long post already

as for , making verses? first i really suggest checking their crossovers ( m/arvel , dc , uhh bor/derlands ect ) because they have a ton of them and if you have muses within those fandoms? it's kinda easy because they technically already have certain characters from them within the game itself ( dc and ma/rvel also have comics!!! well m/arvel is about to have comics )

for muses outside those , i say your best bet is making them a looper. a looper is the player character - basically meaning your character would be stuck in the loop, or has managed to break out.

from what we know via the dc comics being in the loop causes you to completely lose your memory. you could regain it back within the thirty minutes you're in the loop but as soon as the storm settles in and the island resets you forget again. there are ways to escape the loop but i don't know how much is actually explored of that?

loopers can’t really ‘’die’’ or anything, if they get k/illed they just get rebooted or they come back to life after the 30 minute loop is over and from my perspective of things they’re not effected by the loop either ( since again the loop causes you to forget but us as loopers never forget )

ofc tho you can have them be IO agents , you can throw them in as NPCS if you think that fits more! there are tons of ways to mess around with making verses and if you ( or anyone ) has questions i am 100% here to answer them

Just press a button and it starks making food and brings it here? I might have to look into that.”

Retreat

When IO had come to the island. War had broken out as the island loopers came to protect there homes and when IO came to Speedy and Condo. They begin to fight Rosso and his family. Azzurro, Argento, and Sica evidenced the residents of Condo Canyon. As the others kept fighting IO guards and patrols. They kept coming as more and more came.

“There’s to many of them! Retreat!” Burnout shouted as the others retreated back.

Harlowe got Neve back on her feet when she look up of the air ship and notice someone.

“What the? A Patroller?” Harlowe though for a second but, when the IO patrol has a microphone as it speaks.

“Come to kill me. I like to see you all try to.” Bemular said through the speakers.

To everyone shock to hear his voice and familiar one.

“N-no. No way.” Verde said as he saw Bemular as he charge in as he fought his way. When he is being overwhelmed. A member of the seven land to save Verde. She got on her feet and helps him out. Verde was surprise as she got the others away from IO. The Imagined flys up and return to the Sanctuary.

Burnout then when to Verde. “Verde. What you did was risky. You could of die.”

“I know and I’m sorry. I should of retreated back with you. Bemular was suppose to be die saw what happen to him.” Verde said. Burnout place his hand on his shoulder. “I know you want to fight but, now we must head to SandBlast and make a plan.” Burnout said to Verde.

Once there away and out of sight from IO. They made it back to the house that was away from Chonker’s Speedway. They took shelter there where Burnout and Grigio live.

“Everyone is able to escape from IO but, we should be safe here.” Grigio said. “I know it’s not much but, we can return to Volpe when there not looking.” She added.

Nero lays Jules on the couch. “You ok?” Nero ask Jules while she’s pregnant. “Y-yeah. I’m ok. They have been active lately but, I’m ok.” Jules reply as Nero lays his hand on her stomach softly.

“Kor had they try to take you back?” Catalyst ask Kor as she turns to answer Cat question. “They we’re but, I have been replace. Guessing they want an assassin in there organization.” Kor reply as she holds out a locket which opens a picture of her and a little boy.

“Who’s that?” Rosso ask. “Someone you adopt or a relative?” He add. Kor then looks at Rosso with a single tear. “I should of told you this but, when we broke up. I didn’t want you to wonder and you continue your dreams.” Kor then breaths in and out slowly. Cat and Rosso listens. “Rosso. This is your son.” Kor said as Rosso was shock. “M-my son?” He said as he almost fell when Cat catch him.

As the other’s are talking. Verde then goes outside and is worried about Gumshoe. She hasn’t been seen or haven’t found her. Though he remember the lady that save him. He was happy but, something seem like she felt familiar. As he was looking at the ocean and felt calm and comfort. He then felt some air that are blowing when he look up and saw her. Once The Imagined had landed and Verde was surprise to meet a member of the seven.

“You must be new. I wasn’t sure if I meet one of you Seven’s. I have met Radiant, Foundation, Visitor, and Scientist. Though I want to say is. Thank you for saving me. It was reckless of me to charge in like that.” Verde said as he scratch behind his head.

The Imagined nods and then signs as she took her helmet to reveal that it was Gumshoe. Verde look surprise. “What? Gum?” Verde says as he got close. “This isn’t the real me Verde. It was a cover up to lose IO.” She then has remove the Photostatic Veil to reveal her true face.

“This is the real me. I’m really sorry for lying but, it was for- huh?” Imagined was surprise to see Verde hugging her.

“It’s ok. I still love you.” Verde said.

“Yeah. I have a lot to explain but, while doing that. Origin wants to explain for missions as well. Will get Condo Canyon back along with the island.” Imagined said as she smiles. They both kiss as the sunsets.
