I absolutely love Lintu's analysis off kot kot!

(Thanks for giving a platform for additional thoughts ♡ i ended up typing so much that i thought i should also put this in a separate post 😅 i'm just curious what you all think!!)

Idk why it hit different when listening to the whole song but i almost ascended with the first couple of seconds it was so good. Even though i've heard it before. Maybe i was distracted then, who knows.

I'm so glad he teasered both elements of the song before the release because i would have died on impact with the kot kot part. Other than that i have nothing to add to lintu's thoughts - perfect. It's wild and chaotic but still somehow balanced and it doesn't feel like trolling but really sincere even in it's goofyness. The lovely moodyness! Totally!

The song adapts really well with every listen. You feel like you don't want to like it (as much as you do) but here you are replaying it a fifth time, a fifteenth time. Like a taste combination you're not sure you like so you have to go in a second time. And before you know it, you're hooked.

(I still don't love the kot-kot part but that's because i somehow just don't like the word, it's so dry idk.)

I love both parts - the rapping and the singing equally although i will say that i don't vibe with the autotune (it's autotune, right?) that much. (I want to hear your real voice Jere :') even if it's not 100% there yet) I love his voice so much. The high-pitched ''missä'' was a special treat 😫

I love the distorted metallic beats under the rap parts a *lot* lot.

Lintu's analysis of the lyrics is so interesting, i haven't thought of it that way - that this is not a song about the now but a projection into what the future could possibly look like.

Also interesting that the voice on the phone was both Finnish and English 👀 (a hint to friends in other countries and the distance they have?)

I really wish the song was longer. I had the same with ruoska, where it felt like the song was over as soon as you got really into it - blip! Over. (but maybe i'm just slow?) I also wish the 2 elements themselves lasted longer - there's no way you can get into them and really *enjoy* them before they end. And then i was like ... waidaminute! This is intentional! Time confetti! He doesn't get to enjoy his fame and/or private time long enough so neither do we get to live in these elements for too long. It leaves you a little rattled and disoriented. As someone else said - it's like edging 😅 it is! Without resolve. Because that would have been my other point - the song feels like working up to a really good climax but then - bok bok.. 😅😭 That sly little gremlin 😫💚

Also every time i caught myself thinking - hm, that's very commercial 😅 the song kicked the legs out from under me right away 😂 So good for him.

Which brings me to my next hard agree with Lintu - i soooo hope it's a concept album! I don't need to love every song but boy do i love when he experiments. I end up liking those later on mostly. So it's a delayed reward treat idk how to describe it better.

Lastly.

None of this, absolutely none of this, implied sexy poledancing. He just did that. 🙏🏽😫❤

Coven Head headcanons pt. 2

Osran used to be a little shit back then, using his oracle magic to mess with his fellow students. Just think of young Eda, but a little less chaotic. Of course, due to witch puberty and experience and all that stuff, he’s now the (possibly well-meaning) and wise coven head we know now. Though whenever he sees a kid causing trouble, he’s internally like “Haha, I remember when I was like that. Good times.”

The book Osran is holding is not only filled with spells, but it also serves as a little photo album. Ozzie likes looking into the past as well as the future

Oh yeah, and the other coven heads call him “Ozzie”. But only they can do that. Sometimes out of affection and other times, they’re just doing it to piss him off

Terra was like Willow when she was a kid. Underestimated, until you see what the hell she’s capable of

Terra was a good student, but she terrified all her teachers cuz she admittedly had absolutely no chill when it comes to witch’s duels. Nobody would even THINK of messing with her after winning her first fight.

Vitimir and Mason are best friends. End of story

Vitimir (who is sometimes called “V” or “Vit” by his few friends) is also a mama’s boy

Mason is a family man. He used to let Steve and Matt (if they really ARE his kids) ride on his back while he did his own thing

Because Mason was at the Coven Convention, I’m assuming all the Coven Heads were there too. Everyone thinks it’s cool until they see Vitimir drinking one of his potions and they’re just like 👀

Whenever Adrian talks in one of the meetings, the other coven heads are like “Shut up Adrian, the grown ups are talking”

Sticking with the hc that Darius and Eberwolf live together

Darius has also met Eber’s dire wolf family. It was as chaotic as you could imagine it to be

Eberwolf likes to cuddle and curls up in a little ball like King when he sleeps. Sometimes, he does it next to Darius

Eber also loves belly rubs

Raine’s actually pretty cool with the other coven heads. They think they’ve got potential

Hettie’s a boss witch. I think that’s obvious

I like to think arm wrestling is a thing in the boiling isles and Hettie wins every time…while also breaking all her opponents arms (Thank Titan she’s head of healing)

None of the Coven Heads are eligable to compete in the Bonesborough Brawl cuz of how OP they are

Hettimir ftw. Everyone else ships it

Vit tends to blush when Hettie plays with his hair. Hettie thinks it’s the cutest thing in the Demon Realm

To be fair... I never have any kind of direction I'm the absolute WORST, I just.. absorb content from everywhere and in the most chaotic way eizkeielzld

Like for 1D, I'm not a fan of documentaries because no one agrees on the story, but this one about the making of Wish You Were Here is nice (but super sad)

The "Syd era" is important! It's super short, 1 album "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" but the mood is SO different from the rest. It's like their fEtUs era yk, they're just cute, singing about gnomes and bikes.

rough timeline for all the drama

The big concept albums (ngl they're the most interesting part) chronologically: The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall and The Final Cut.

I haven't seen it (yet) because I'm SCARED, but the movie "The Wall" is a great adaptation of the album !

The Live at Pompeii is a classic, vibes are immaculate (The atmosphere, Roger's gong, screamos, the dog singing <3)

The Pompeii interview is also a classic for some reason it just looks like a european independant film but

Roger Waters "snapping" at the audience, a milestone in his and the band's image (just pretty indicative of why I'm not a fan of Pink Floyd's docs like... did it deserve the media fuss? Because to this day fans are still talkin about it lol). Allegedly would've partly inspired The Wall.

I like Syd's solo career, very short lived with 2 albums: "The Madcap Laughs" and "Barrett". They're... peculiar.. but it's good to have his pov too. (it also shows that he was indeed still a human being who had things and feelings to express, not just. an empty shell)

And then it's a lot of digging oof trying to make sense of this shitload of emotional bagage lol but I hope you enjoy the music <3
