💕 About
This is based on the idea of at least preserving the text of one of my favorite visual novels, Love Island The Game, by Fusebox. Seasons 1 to 3 will be removed from the original app (which had been renamed Love Villa at some point) on December 11, 2023.
The plan for now is to manually extract the script from the game, then code it into a simple, fully text-based, playable format. This will be done for Seasons 1 to 3.
The LITG Fan Community has decided to record and preserve what we can:
Here's the post by @mrsbsmooth on recorded playthroughs. This is my main source of script extraction, including recordings made by my fellow writers. As a fan of this game, I cannot thank you all enough for this.
Here's a link to the LITG Remastered Discord Server. This is a separate project and they are seeking to add details to routes and complete the experience.

An LITG Archive Update
To preface, the original seasons are still playable at the moment if your auto-update is turned off. (I can confirm; I can still play on my Android phone.) I've heard (but have not tried) it's possible to play using older mods as well. Overall, this is good news!
However, no one is sure how long this would be viable, given that you do still need to connect to the Internet to play them. And, how long would Fusebox allow that from their end?
Well, I'm not putting this project on hold. And the fact that the seasons are still playable? A good time to collect more records. (IIRC, I don't have a Season 3 playthrough with Seb as the best friend yet. Please hook your girl up with any link whatsoever.)
What I'm doing and what are the goalposts moving forward, all under the cut!
Originally, I was going to do Season 3 first (as you might have seen from the demo), but I did realize that we'd likely lose more content from Season 2, given it's the longest and has most extensive branching compared to the other two seasons.
So, what am I doing now?
I've mapped out all the choices for Season 2 Day 1 Part 1. I will start transcription. If there are any missing choices, I will create a separate post requesting assistance (like I did before).
Season 3 transcription of a recorded Harry route is being continued by lovely people on their free time. They are currently doing Day 4 Part 1.
Any particular timeline when you'll be able to release a playable Season 2 (or any other season)?
What I can say is it won't be up for a while unless there will be more volunteers helping me transcribe seasons using a particular formatting and process. This is the most time-consuming part.
For a general idea, it took me almost 6 hours to transcribe the part for the demo using 2 recorded playthroughs by @queen-of-boops and by @mrsbsmooth. I broke up the scenes and added in some code/notes as I transcribed. Then I had a few more hours tweaking the transcript into ink, breaking it up a bit more so it won't flood the screen as much UI-wise, installing the UI framework, and testing it.
Granted, since I have brushed up on ink and have done base stuff for the demo, it shouldn't take me too long to code the full game once I've done all the non-coding related tasks.
Why not release it in chapters?
Honestly because I'm not a programmer, I have massive technical debt, and I could do that, but honestly I'm not very comfortable with doing that unless I at least map out all the choices first. I want to avoid missing variables which may, in turn, break everything else.
You might be surprised with the scenes we're still discovering as we repeat the playthroughs. We've got aliens, Islanders checking Bobby's reaction to Rocco possibly stealing you away from him, Ciaran being turned on by a belch, and Kassam actually considering you as a dateable prospect despite not being interested in you in the first place, etc. Honestly wild.
So, now what?
I will be posting an update once a week until all three seasons are completed. I'll post recording requests when needed. (Thank you to everyone who has shared their records so far, I could kiss you all. It's so lovely seeing our community band together like this.)
We can only hope Fusebox publishes the remastered versions soon (if at all) so people (like me) can play their comfort routes or just play some of the best seasons they had put out into the world.

Wake up, bestie! Day 1 just dropped.

Game has been updated. Click here to play!
This update is almost two days late, and I do apologize for that. However, I have finished putting out all the fires I've accidentally started, and here's the list of changes I've made thus far:
Changed demo content. I've removed the Day 6 Part 1 content and replaced it with all available romantic and platonic routes for Day 1, with the exception of Elladine branching. Current references do not include her unique dialogues, if any.
Minor edits to the original script. ​Any minor errors regarding formatting or grammar that I did find, I have corrected. I'm not sure if I did get them all, but it's mostly a random narration in a speech bubble, stray apostrophes, and thought indicators.
Extra content option. Per the January 9 poll, I added an optional toggle for extra content which would give extra context or trivia. This is mostly for players who have not been able to play the original app, given that this archive does not retain any of the art.
Just like previous, any missing or incomplete variables, choices, or scenes will be marked (INCOMPLETE) in-game.
No scheduled update for Day 2 yet, as I am still in the process of filling up the currently missing routes.

An LITG Archive Update
I've reached Day 3 Part 3, the part of the base script which made me question everything since I had updated the game. Good news is, I finished its base script and added AJ's route. So, my mind at ease, I can continue cleaning up the rest of the base script that I currently have and extract the Day 8 content that I have on hand.
I'll continue preparation and extraction of the base script until I reach the final day for Season 3.
Afterwards, whenever I'm on the go, I will start preparation for the base script for Season 2, then Season 1. This is to help the LITG Remastered Project as well. (They do need help in extracting the script, and whatever blanks I have left after going through recorded playthroughs I have on hand, I use them as reference. Click here to check their Discord Server out!)
So, there won't be any game updates for this month, unfortunately. But I am making progress on the back-end.

I apologize for the lack of progress to report today. Various things have distracted me this past week, although I did finish prepping Day 10 Part 1 for extraction, but that's the extent of it. I haven't been able to clean up any code or anything else on the backend.
That said, Meri of the LITG Remastered Discord did great work transcribing Days 8 to 13 of the Season 3 script. I can reference their work when I create the base script this week.
Again, sorry about this. This week should be better for working on the project.

I have continued cleaning up code for Day 1 to 9, mostly because of some throwbacks from later days which, ofc, needs to be called from earlier days, and somehow I have not been able to include yet.
The only Day 10 content I have is still the base script as of right now, as I haven't coded it yet.

Haven't had much time this past week to work on the project, except to clean up a couple of knots and write in some conditionals for Days 9 and 10, which I had begun the base script for prior my break.

So, I did have some progress, mostly because of the reference script by Meri from the LITG Remastered Discord.
Base script is updated to partial Day 10 now.
Admittedly, I could have done a lot more, but Eric "Concerned Ape" Barone decided to tell people to "get ready", but not too much since he's still going for coffee before dropping the Version 1.6 update. Which, I am a mobile player, it won't be updated any time soon, but did it have me on a chokehold anyway? Yes.
Also, given that it's the Holy Week where I'm from, I will be busy with personal commitments this week. The next update post will be on April 9, 2024.

Another short one, as I wasn't able to use my laptop much the previous week. For now, I have:
a mostly finished Day 8 base script.
prepped up to Day 9 for extraction.
filled up some more routes for Day 2 Part 2.
added in some variables needed for future episodes, particularly regarding MC's diet.

Finished up to Day 7 for my base script, including minor coding and sectioning.
Added AJ's route for all of Day 3.
Currently adding the rest of the routes for Day 2. Bill's route so far has perplexed me, but nothing unmanageable.
Still extracting Day 8 content.

Day 1 re-code is done. Now what?

I finished cleaning up the code for Day 1 and I have initially tested it using Inky. Haven't tried it with Atrament yet... perhaps when I have a bit more added, like Day 2 content which I am working on filling up.
I am prepping Day 8 whenever I am on the go. Hopefully, I will be able to have a more substantial progress report and a minor update of the game soon for you all.

Yeah, so, a very short update today.
I have finished filling in missing scenes and choices in Season 3 Day 1 Parts 1 and 2. Thank you LITG Remastered Discord!
Most of the necessary functions had been added in, and variable names have been changed/updated.
I haven't tested any of the code yet. I won't until I finish Day 1 Part 3, which should be done this week.

An LITG Archive Update
No content added after the game update last Friday. I'm working on cleaning up the base script and the code itself, as I've realized a few missing things. Two parts of the update today: a bug, and functions.
The more important announcement is that once the next update drops, you'll have to restart the game due to some code additions.
More under the cut.
First, the bug.
I found a bug while playing a Camilo route on my phone. The next scenes won't show up. The code seems to check out when I played on the editor, so I'm not entirely sure if it's my phone or something really is wrong. If you encountered it while playing, please do let me know!
Second, the functions.
Yeah, so to assign variables and avoid writing the same conditionals over and over again, I use functions. And there are a few, regarding the pronouns and the relationship ones that are missing a few things as I read through the base script that I have on hand.
I have to overhaul it. I already started, but I'm still not done with it. I'm trying to future-proof it as much as possible so nothing else will break when Day 2 drops.
So... yeah.

Good news!
An LITG Archive Update
I finished cleaning up Day 9, finally! Huzzah!
I am cleaning up Day 11 currently, but have taken a quick look at the script until Day 13. (Shoutout again to @tremendouslyfreewitch and the LITG Remastered Discord!) I took note of the scenes which are connected to the early days.
This means I can finally switch gears and fill out missing scenes from Day 2 again and code it.
Day 2 update set within this coming month of May.
