"So I know water's super important for drinking, and life. But can anything live in the water? Where I'm from, there's way too much ash from the smoke, just drinking it is kind of painful."
Laying on his front, Silver traces the surface of the water with his gloved fingertip. Amazing, how it was so clear. He didn't realize this was what people called a beach, though he had learned that the Earth was, at least in this time period, almost completely covered with water.
Surely there was life down there!
"Why don't we explore it?"
A momentary pause, this time, an expression of confusion. Lowering his hand, the hedgehog noticed a change in how it moved. He balled his fist, then unclenched it. How peculiar.
"I wonder how far down it goes."

It wasn't out of the ordinary for the pair to be out in another world for a breath of fresh air. There were only so many times they could visit friends before it began to feel like they were overstaying their welcome. At least that was what Light thought.
So that was why they were there. A Zone they weren't exactly familiar with but had been amicable enough to Light with his cybernetics to not have to avoid populated sections of the town they were in.
He still did to a point, for the toddler by his side's sake. Since there were some that ignored her vest to attempt to pet her and forced him to scoop her up from beside his leg.
"Dah?" Jade eyes blinked, curious as he pointed to what looked like a semi more secluded spot. As they walked over, Gibbous wiggled to be put back on her feet but he held firm when a feeling of not being alone raised both their hackles.
"Why don't you drop that pretty bag on your back and we'll let you and your poodle go?" Light glanced over his shoulder, cybernetic eye glinting in the sunlight above. When he didn't move, those who had closed off the only exit took a few more steps forward.
It didn't take him long to spot the glint of a knife and send a glare to the one wielding it.

The mongoose was a lot wiser than some people gave her credit for, but he would admit he had noticed an...unease falling over her the last few days.
Nothing compared to Lil, however, and frankly the other's tone had the elder frowning. Not worried, like he maybe should have been, but more taken aback than anything as yellowed eyes stared at the younger hedgehog. No, Arrow hadn't considered the possibility of this transformation going all the way, for lack of a better term, but he also wasn't a fan of how Lil was denigrating him.
"Don't you think you're overreacting a little? If that was going t' happen, wouldn't it have already?

"I wish it would rain."
Summer was a naturally dry month. Words spoken as he's in flight, carefully watering the roses. Reds, yellows. Even those of two colors. He had to do so religiously, or they would wilt. That wasn't what he wanted to happen. Instead, it was a hot day. Clouds, but all white and puffy. Not a raincloud in sight.
"Oh, and I learned that making lemonade is more than just dropping sliced lemons in a glass of water. I've made worse mistakes, but I've made better."

Already thinking of some designs for the matching set he was going to make for his friend. Wanting them to be special and unique too. It shouldn’t take him to long to finish the request — would be nice to do some metal and gem work again too. Being a while since he had done such tasks.

{➹} – FOR A MOMENT, the elder looked at the very same marks, both puzzled and fascinated by them. Some might have found the transformation Lil had gone through odd but, given that his own had lead to the white bands and cuff along his limbs, Arrow couldn't help but see it as a good thing. He just wished he remembered more about the event in question, his brain was still a little fuzzy regarding those events.
But, regardless, it seemed that it had set Lil their next path and it was one the elder was curious to see. Not just what it was comprised of, but where it would lead the younger hedgehog.
"If you can sense as much as you say you can, I think you know the answer t' that already," it was said lightly with a like smile as Arrow met the other's eyes. The offer was there, if Lil wanted it. "Of course that all depends on whether or not you can handle me as a teacher, at least for the basics of it all. Anything too far beyond that we can...outsource."

He had some run ins with this guy before. Or at least, an alternate version of him. The bear could distinctly tell that this one was different from the last he'd dealt with, but that wasn't going to change his guard. Those who fought for their ideals of justice would never understand why he did what he did.
Bark was a morally gray person. And not generally nice.
For the moment, he just stares. What was a Sonic doing here, anyway? He'd just finished his daily strength training, now he was relaxing. Bark had already given his hair a good wash in a nearby lake, but it was down, which was an uncommon hairstyle for him. Life was just easier when you put your hair in a ponytail.
For now, he'd keep it at a stare. Maybe the hedgehog would leave on his own accord.

"I know plants come from the ground, but what starts them?"
He didn't quite understand the concept of seeds yet, as it had never been explained. Just that plants could grow just about anywhere. What confused him, was why there were sometimes patches of dirt that didn't have plant life at all. What stopped the grass from growing in places like that?
"I always wanted to grow my own flower. My best friend says raising flowers takes a lot of patience, and love."
He shakes his head. He shouldn't have been talking to a stranger like this, but he was fascinated by the flowers around here. So many roses. Not that he knew them by name.
"Sorry if I bothered you. But your garden is really pretty."

Amy sound with a wistful * sigh *
Okay. So it wasn’t a very exciting day.
As soothing as the spring showers were, there was a sleepy haze that clung to the city, little specks of rain smattering down gently to the pavement below. It hid the world behind a calm silver veil, one that might have been romantic if not for the fact that Amy was here all by herself.
The pinkette was in dire need of a pick-me-up, and with the clear plastic of her umbrella in her hand, she was on her way to find it. The flower shop on the corner always had something to brighten her day, and so her path was set.
Ears tuned to the patter of rain, the red-dressed hedgehog stepped through the shallows of a puddle, the summer’s yellow of her raincoat shimmering with the occasional drop that managed to evade the shield of her umbrella. There was a sense of peace in the rumble of cars along the road, something familiar in the soft grey of the clouds overhead. Her path came easy, steps slowing to a halt as the light at the crosswalk showed red.
With a blink of her eyes, her gaze leveled for the shop just ahead - and right away, she caught it. That tell-tale blue.
Sonic.
The clouds weren’t parting. The sun didn’t peek from its hiding place. There was no rainbow in the dreary grey of the expanse above. But immediately, Amy’s day brightened, and as the light switched green, she was on the move, closing in on the smaller figure with cheery excitement.
