is there a word count limit on tumblr posts. like i was planning to post the firewatch au chapters on tumblr in addition to on ao3 but i think they might uh. be a little long.

i've done up to 7.2k words in a single post i guess i'm wondering if it'll cut off a 10k or something. i also realize, retroactively, that the average person on their dash isn't going to pause to read a 7k+ fanfic,

#a lot of my fics (ex. gadus morhua at 6k words) did VERY WELL when posted to tumblr #which is why i wanted to do that in addition to ao3 #but like. realistically. when releasing chapters as long as i am #most people are going to go 'ooh let me read this later!'#like if i saw a 10k fanfic appear on my dash as a tumblr post i probably would like it and then read it later haha #but i think the inclusion art works best in a tumblr post vs ao3 #but i guess the art piece worked well in chapter one #in the past i've seen it be wonky on other people's work but i think it worked because i set the size to change with people's screen size
