Hi days! I know you're the best person to go to for some NH fic recommendations. Can you share with us really angsty NH fics? I've read White Lillies, that amount of angst is revitalizing I LOVE IT!!! big thanks!!!
HELLO
For how fluffy NaruHina is, there SURE ARE A LOT of shippers who LOVE NARUHINA ANGST.  I’ve been asked for angst recs far more than any other type????
I will now compile every angst fic rec I’ve ever made into one long list.  (folks can see if there’s anything I’ve missed 🤓)
NARUHINA ANGST
“A Place In The Sun” by ihaveastorminme - Rated M for smut and depictions of violence, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Incomplete.  Naruto realizes that he’s not enough to love her.  He’s not enough to save her, either.
“A Fate Worse than Death” by Caelestia - Rated M for smut, ABO Canon-Divergent, One-shot.  Naruto, improperly socialized and traumatized as a child, rejects his inner Alpha, which has devastating consequences on his family and marriage.  “A Risky Bet” is its fluffier follow-up.
“Girl No 10″ by meeiwen - Rated M, Modern AU, Multi-chapter, Complete. Naruto makes a mistake with a dancer one drunk night.  Years later when he meets her again, he begins realizing his perfect life is a lie, but he’s too late to fix it. Angst if you want to know what dying feels like warning.
“if this is love (why does it hurt?)” by ClairvoyantDreamer1011 - Rated M, Friends with benefits Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Incomplete. Hinata knew many things about Naruto Uzumaki. She knew that his heated glances meant ‘I want you’; that lingering touches whispered 'please’, and that the sight of his back to her screamed 'leave’. But she couldn’t tell you what they were to each other for the life of her.
“If You Said You Loved Me” by destiny’s sweet melody - Rated T, Canon-Divergent, One-shot.  Naruto begins to realize he took her feelings for granted and now he’s too late.
“The Ring that Binds” by softwind - Rated M, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Incomplete.  Naruto and Hinata are married.  So why is Naruto calling “Sakura” in his sleep?
“Why would innocent little Hinata be out dressed like that?” (One-shot) and its follow-up “On Any Given Day” (Long One-Shot) by @utsus - Rated T, Canon-Divergent. Hinata tries to move on from Naruto, right when he realizes he wants to keep her.
“For the Future” by @utsus - Rated T, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Complete. Hinata understands this better than anyone else. Naruto is easy to love.  (I actually just hate the ending a lot.  That’s what puts this on the list).
“Gilded Butterflies” by Kid Crisis - Rated M for depictions of violence, Modern AU, Multi-chapter, Incomplete. Tenshi, beautiful prostitute of the Villa, realized from a very young age that people seem to do nothing but empty her, and not even Naruto seems capable of convincing her otherwise.
“Serenity Prayer” by @katarinahime - Rated M for smut, substance abuse, PTSD, and depictions of domestic violence and non-con, Modern AU, Multi-chapter, Incomplete. When their fairytale endings smash to ugly pieces, Hinata and Naruto help put each other back together.

Naruto and Hinata, in a struggling relationship, must confront the pain inside before they can love each other.
“In Another Life” by theGeneralissimo - Rated T, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Complete. In which Naruto listens to his mother’s advice and marries a girl like her. And lives to regret it.
“Mistake” by Cherry1315 - Rated T, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Incomplete. Naruto falls apart, and, unfortunately, Hinata has to pick up the pieces.
“Until the Day I Love” by BluBlooThalassophile - Rated M, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Incomplete. Everyone is recovering from the war.
“Hidden From Sunlight” by @bunny-hoodlum - Rated T, Canon-Divergent, Multi-chapter, Incomplete. How different could Naruto’s life be when the girl that seemed 'barely around’ is truly hardly around at all?
“Powerless” by @bunny-hoodlum - Rated M for depictions of violence and character death, Mystery/Crime High School/Modern AU, Multi-chapter, Incomplete. His family’s past can’t be taken at face-value, and it comes clawing back to hurt him in ways that are out of his control. DELETED FIC.
“21 Days” by @bunny-hoodlum - Rated E includes dub-con, Modern AU, Multi-chapter, Incomplete. Anonymous internet friends decide to meet up IRL and give each other their first times.
“April - Too Late/Missed Opportunities” from “Still Falling for You” by @chloelapomme - Rated T, College/Modern AU, One-shot. After her 3 years away for college, Naruto decides to confess.
“June - Honor/Sacrifice” from “Still Falling for You” by @chloelapomme - Rated T, Modern AU, Multi-chapter, Complete. Naruto marries Hinata, the girl of his dreams.  If only she loved him back.
“you totally almost killed me that one time (it’s okay I still love you)” by @itachiboutit - Rated G, High School AU, Multi-chapter, Complete.  Naruto, a promising baseball player, returns to Konoha Prep, and, without so much as even a “long time no see,” hits a ball into Hinata’s face. (This isn’t really angsty…but I get really upset in Ch. 4 and cry a lot every time.)
“Because I Love You” aka “Arranged Marriage AU Take 2″ (Same fic) by @magmawrites - Rated T, Canon-Divergent, One-shot. A canon divergent fic in which The Last never happened and Hinata Hyuga was promised to another.
“Asylum AU” from “Tales of Two Ninjas” by @magmawrites - Rated M, Modern AU, One-shot. What’s to say what’s real and what isn’t? The only thing that’s valid and true in all universes is their love for one another.
“Dreaming of AU” from “Tales of Two Ninjas” by @magmawrites - Rated M for implied suicide, Modern AU, One-shot. Naruto dreams of her. He grows to love her. Dreams are nice. Too bad reality is a nightmare. (Most likely a continuation of the Asylum AU.)

“The Path We Walk” by @tenney-shoes - Rated T, Amnesia Canon-Divergent AU, Multi-chapter, Complete. Spa day w/ Illumi ✨🐰
I started writing this a month ago so it still says “15th of Christmas” pls bear with me lol
This is part of a Illumi/Hisoka/reader poly relationship! But there won´t be any Hiso in this, sorry! I have another fic planned tho so pls anticipate it :)))
Now I can´t stop imagining Illumi with a bunny ears headband... uwu
Tumblr media
Support me on Ko-fi | Masterlist | My AO3
„What is this?“
- „A jelly peeling.“
„And this?“
- „A brush used for applying skin masks, so you don´t have to use your hands.”
You beamed with anticipation. This year, you had decided that it was time to show the boys how to make a couple-advent-calendar. A collection of 24 enjoyable things you could do together. And here it was. The 15th, “spa day”.
Hisoka was out, so you´d grabbed Illumi and dragged him into your study in what had to be the most comfortable kidnapping in history. He actually behaved very well, and you had the slight suspicion that he already enjoyed this.
“First is a headband.”
After you´d both taken a steaming hot bath together and rose from it super relaxed, you slipped a bunny-ear headband onto your boyfriend. Illumi turned to view himself in the make-up mirror. The feeling of something restricting yet comfortable was new to the assassin. The headband wasn´t meant to hurt him or for training, just to hold his hair out of his face. It felt... good. And the light pink went beautifully with his crème bathrobe.
“Look! You look like a bunny now!”
“Is that good?”
“It means you´re very cute and I like it.”
“Ah.”
“My cute little bun bun~”
While Illumi was admiring himself in the mirror, you had to resist the urge to braid his luscious hair, simply gathering it in a ponytail and then taking a seat in front of him.
Illumi´s mind wandered to the rest of the bathroom. You really had taken the time to tidy and clean everything and even decorate. Everything smelled so good! The light-scented candles held a soothing glow and they smelled sweet, as if Illumi just had to stick out his tongue and receive candy. You had placed them on every available surface, creating a big palette of colours that put his mind at ease. The products sitting neat next to them had big beautiful names and colourful packaging. Together with the tasteful instrumental music they made Illumi feel something he didn´t before. A thrill of anticipation.
“We´re starting off with a cleanser.”
Illumi´s watchful unblinking eyes followed every step of the routine. He sat there a little stiffly in a tailor-fashion, yet it reminded you fondly of a watchful cat. Or bunny, in this case. The outfit was so cute on him! It was a pity he wouldn´t let you take a picture.
You started to apply the soap-like foam onto his face with gentle care. Your nails were cut short just for this occasion and the way you worked the product into his skin was light and even. Your touch made him want to flinch, with how light and gentle it was, yet Illumi willed himself to hold still.
When would it start to sting? Illumi anticipated the pain, yet he trusted you. Whatever would happen, whatever would come, he wouldn´t flinch away. Even if you hurt him, he would be able to take it.
“Is this okay?”
“It is.”
You watched Illumi for signs of discomfort, a little concerned since he still wasn´t able to relax. It looked like he was preparing for the worst, even though you had mobilized everything to arrange a relaxing spa day... Ye the longer you brushed over his face, the heavier his eyelids became.
“Do you like it?”
“...”
His eyes closed and he started to relax. His shoulders became heavy, his hands slipped from his thighs into his lap where they loosely intertwined.
“Lumi?”
“Mh.”
Illumi wondered, when was the last time someone had taken care of him that way?
There was a memory from when he was about 3. He had fallen face first into the mud while running. Branches and dirt and pebbles had hurt his skin, yet by this age he had already learned not to cry. Illumi tried to remember. Had he already been numb to pain then?
One of the pebbles had lightly pierced through his cheek, resulting in an ugly wound that started to bruise. His mother had started yelling, fussing over his face and ushering him inside. She´d been angry and Illumi had felt responsible, mentally preparing himself for punishment. But then she had sat him down in her room, in her high chair in front of her vanity and tended to the wound under his eye with maybe the tenderest care he had ever seen in her.
“Illumi? I said do you want to wash your face yourself or do you want me to do it for you?”
You giggled when Illumi´s dark eyes shot back to your face. He had been zoning out for a while, probably lulled in by the soothing patterns on his face. For a second he just stared at you.
At you or at his mother, who had been wearing her hair down, then. Her beautiful locks of hair were black as night, just as his. His mother´s fussing had made him feel important, cared for.
“You do it.”
There was no force between his words. They came out slowly, eyes trained on your face as you smiled. Wordlessly you took a fluffy white washcloth and dipped it into a bowl with warm water.
“Close your eyes.”
You gently took a hold of his chin, just so much so that it would stay in place, as you began cleaning off the product. Illumi´s skin felt different now. Smoother, but dry.
“Next up is exfoliating!”
With far more fun that you´d imagined, you started rubbing the gel peeling into his skin. You had seen an instruction in a youtube tutorial earlier that day. When your thumbs brushed over his cheekbones in a circular pattern, Illumi let his eyes slip shut. You kept working gently on his face, eradicating non-existent little bumps and imperfections on his perfect glass skin. It was probably owed to his perfect diet and frequent intake of water... sometimes you were so jealous of that wonderful bastard.
Meanwhile Illumi thought about the pattern you used for the massage. Half a circle...
´Illumi. Keep up!´
His father had drawn the same pattern on the mat with his bare foot when he drew it back. Illumi hadn´t known then, that he´d done it to gain force and use it to punch his son square in the jaw.
`If you can´t evade my fist, how will you defend yourself against an enemy who attacks from the front? Illumi, they won´t have mercy like me. That is your first lesson.´
It had been the first time his father had openly punched him. Illumi had trembled in pain, holding his cheek with his tiny hand while trying to swallow his sobs.
`I trusted you, papa. I never thought... I never thought you would hurt me.´
Illumi´s eyes shot back open. His hands were gripping both your wrists, thumbs pressing into your palms and tilting them back.
A little gasp escaped Illumi´s mouth. His ears still rang with the blow of his father´s fist. Only after the noise had subsided did he notice.
In the same second he released you immediately. His heart beat wildly in his chest, spurring him on to fight, even though there was no actual danger. Even though you had never done anything to hurt him.
Your hands, they were so gentle, so soothing. They had brought him nothing but joy. There was no doubt in his mind that you were harmless.
“I should leave.”
He didn´t want to see your face, he couldn´t. After all, he had brought you damage. A flaw in a perfect system. Even though Illumi couldn´t decide if the flaw was his self-control or letting you close in the first place.
You went after him, grabbing onto his sleeve in the doorway.
“Illumi, listen to me.”
He didn´t move a muscle. He should go back home. His father would fix him. That was if he could forget you.
“I know it wasn´t the best idea to sit in front of you and repeatedly touch your face while you´re feeling vulnerable. I know you. I know have those patterns.”
Why did you have to say these words? They cut right into his soul with how true you were. It was unbearable yet Illumi couldn´t bring himself to walk away. Why couldn´t he just leave?
“Illumi...I want to walk through them together with you and for us to create new ones. New patterns, new memories, new routines.”
Why had he let a civilian come into his life? The needle he´d grabbed on instinct in his other hand when he´d grabbed you had almost come in contact with your skin. But you hadn´t even noticed.
“Don´t be a fool. I hurt you. It´s like father said. He let me live my own life, knowing I´d make a mistake and realize that there is only one way.”
Slowly, you walked around until you faced him.
“Illumi. Look at me.”
Reluctantly, the black-haired man raised his gaze. His eyes looked wet with frustration.
“You aren´t flawed. You´ve been put in a system where being perfect is unachievable. But look.”
You outstretched your hands, palms up. Upon further inspection, there were no bruises. No marks. Not even a red tint from where he had grabbed your wrists.
“You never hurt me, Illumi. Your grip was so gentle, somehow you must´ve known it was me. You see? There is no flaw.”
You beamed up at him.
“For me, you´re perfect. I love you, Illumi. I wouldn´t want you any other way.”
There was no flaw... he hadn't actually hurt you. Illumi's initial frustration started dripping down his cheeks.
For a long time, he wouldn´t let go.
With the utmost care he wrapped you in a hug, burrowing his face against your hair.
"Thank you. For letting me stay."

Chapter 3—
"Don't they have anything at least a LITTLE flattering? I get they're like hippie-extremists, but not all of us want to look like a sack of potatoes," you complained, swiping through their clothing racks that screamed no-potential-whatsoever.
You'd finally arrived at NGL headquarters, only for them to make the three of you throw out your phones and clothes. It's like they were still living in the 18th century.
"It's only clothes. Just pick whatever," Killua replied while browsing through the selection, though he looked equally as aggravated and bored. He did have at least some style that he wanted to upkeep.
Gon on the other hand didn't seem to care.
"You think they have anything green?" He wondered out loud.
You pulled out a set of white pants with a blue long sleeves top.
"Hey Killua."
"Yeah?"
You shoved the set into his arms, giving him a bright smile.
"Try this on, I think it would match your eyes well."
"Idiot. The Chimera Ants won't be looking at my eyes when we're fighting them." Pink dusted his cheeks as he looked to the side, avoiding eye contact.
He bought the outfit without even trying it on.
Gon pouted. "Wait, what about me?"
You pulled out two more similar sets. One was a pair of green pants and a white tank top, while the other was burgundy pants with a black top. That one was yours.
"We can all match!" You grinned, relieved you finally found something that wouldn't make you all look like homeless children. "Well, sort of." The sets were still different colors, but they retained the same general style.
"Oh, great idea Y/N! I'll go change into it now," Gon beamed, nearly skipping all the way to the changing room with his brand new green pants. It was about time he put on something different for a change, you inwardly joked.
Killua was already walking back from the stalls when Gon ran past him.
"Wow Killua, look at that drip~" You whistled, checking out his new outfit.
"You're so hopeless," he sighed, bonking the top of your head.
You rubbed where he had hit and stuck out your tongue, pretending to be hurt. It was the truth though, he looked really good in the outfit you had picked out. Peeking at him while he wasn't looking, you discovered that the tight-skinned long sleeves accentuated his arms in a way you'd never noticed before, hugging his lean muscles. You were right about the royal-colored shirt bringing out his pretty blue eyes. And the way his pale skin and white hair contrasted them even looked a little heavenly...
God, what were you thinking? If Killua heard you right now he'd hit you over the head another 20 times over. You looked to the floor, hoping he wouldn't see your growing blush.
After all three of you had changed into your new clothes, the hunt for the Chimera Ants began. Kite was on his own horse, while the rest of you fit on the second one due to your small frames. You were holding onto Gon's torso as he took control of the reins.
He was like a natural, his whole body moving in sync with the horse in strong determination. You trusted him, knowing that wouldn't just let you topple over. You weren't really used to horses, as they weren't typically found roaming around the jungle.
Then there was Killua, who was standing stick-straight on the horse like it was nothing.
"How do you even do that?!" You called out over the sound of galloping hooves.
"Huh, Do what? You mean this?" Killua smirked, doing a handstand.
You couldn't believe him. The boy had no fear at all.
"You're crazy," you stated, turning around to face Killua and leisurely leaning your back against Gon.
You had finally mastered balancing on the horse without having to hold onto him— but you had nowhere as near the skill Killua did.
"Maybe I am, but you love it," he teased, still upside-down. Temptingly enough, his white locks of hair were hanging upside-down too.
Slowly, you leaned forward on the palm of your hands, steadily closing in the distance between you two.
"Sure, I do. You got me there," you cooed, catching him off guard.
"Huh.." He sweatdropped, turning bright red. Killua's balance was starting to wobble.
Then, exploiting his moment of weakness, you tugged on his hair knocking him over.
Satisfied, you rested against Gon again. Thankfully the boy didn't seem to mind.
"Show off," You said, sticking your nose in the air.
"Man, that was so unfair!" Killua whined, sitting back down on the horse and dragging his hands down his face.
You crossed your arms, ready to deliver some witty comeback, when you noticed some bees in the distance that looked like they were carrying something. Squinting your eyes, you saw that they were flying in closer.
"Hey guys, look at that," you pointed out. The horses stopped as one of the bees dropped the paper in Kite's hand.
Help!!
Chimera Ant Nest, Rocky Area
Notify Hunter Association!!
An SOS? And it appeared to be written in blood.
You cast a worried glance at Gon, who looked disturbed.
"It's Ponzu..."
Ponzu...? The name wasn't familiar to you at all. That must be somebody Killua and Gon knew from before you had met them.
The bee fluttered defeatedly around you before making its landing on your ring finger. Kite made the decision to leave the horses, with a message for the Hunter Association.
Even though they ran faster on foot, it didn't take much time until you came across an unsettling scene.
Or, what was left of Ponzu.
Blood soaked the ground. Articles of ripped-up clothing scattered the dirt, and there was not even a bone in sight. The putrid smell of iron overwhelmed your nostrils.
It was fresh blood.
If you had arrived even 15 minutes earlier, maybe Gon and Killua's friend would not have so barbarically killed. You felt sick to your stomach.
'This wasn't done by a human'
"This was done by a Chimera Ant," Kite finished your thought.
The look on Gon's face scared you. Most of the time, Gon was a sweet boy on a journey to find his father. But sometimes, you could spot a festering darkness threatening to take over his very being. You knew he would never tolerate his friends getting hurt, but you couldn't help but wonder if Gon was self-sacrificing, or perhaps selfish?
"I hate to consider the possibility, but it's possible that NGL's underground rulers have already been fed to the queen. What will happen if Chimera Ants are born with their genes..?" Kite trailed off, studying one of the bullet casings in the murder scene.
An unprecedented biohazard never seen before in human history, is what that meant. The worst-case scenario had just happened.
⋯✰⋯
That wasn't the last disturbing scene the four of you came across. In front of you now were three decaying horses, each speared through the stomach by its own tree. They resembled grilled chicken and steak kebabs.
The scent was even worse than the last incident. This time, they were rotting. Killua and you both covered your noses, in an attempt to block out the stench.
"It's like a morning sacrifice," Gon stated.
You remembered what that was. Back at home, sometimes birds would impale their prey on sharp objects like branches. It wasn't a pretty sight, but it was the circle of life. What kind of monster could do this to not just one, but three 1,000 ton horses?
Your question was answered quicker than you had hoped.
"Trash. Those are mine!" The monster in question growled as he stepped foot out of the dense forest.
He looked like an overgrown bunny, with wings of a bird, thick-ass thighs, and seaweed green hair. And as for the vibe he gave off? You could safely assume he was just a stupid man-child.
"Wow. You're ugly," you deadpanned.
"You wanna say that again little brat?" He snarled, making the first move and charging right after you.
You quickly dodged his attack, but not before he came in contact with your arm. That was gonna leave a bruise.
Kite activated his aura, temporarily distracting the bunny-monster. It seemed to have noticed the change in atmosphere.
No way...was it possible? Had it already learned about the power of nen?
"Y/N, Gon, Killua... You three must deal with him yourselves. We'll be encountering more Chimera Ant soldiers like him. I won't be able to help you during combat, so if you can't defeat him, you will have to leave." Kite stepped back from the fight.
You nodded, Gon and Killua mirroring you. The three of you understood what hung in the fate of this fight.
"We told you before Kite, we're pros, not just kids!"
In sync, you all activated your nen together.
"Did you hear that bunny? I'm about to blow off those weird speedos of yours into the next dimension." You raised your hand in front of you, manipulating the wind to blow him away with every step that you advanced.
Killua was already in the air, prepared to test his thunder-bolt. In a flash of blue, dozens of lightning strikes were being zapped into the ant, immobilizing him. Gon's charged punch was enough to send him flying across the sky.
You saw his tail-puff shrink and sparkle in the distance as he was about to disappear, until something fast and unidentifiable swept him away.
Someone had been watching.
"He let his soldier do the fighting so that he could learn our abilities," Kite explained while walking towards the three of you again.
Gon and Killua looked disappointed. You hadn't even gotten a chance to use much of your powers during that fight. If you had finished it off, would that have been enough to prove yourselves?
"Are you coming?"
You looked up at Kite.
"There's no need to feel down, your attacks weren't that bad. You just need experience now. If you wish to become stronger, this is a perfect opportunity... But if you aren't prepared, you won't be able to endure it. Whether we win or lose, hell lies ahead of us." Kite finished off, looking at each one of you in the eye with a resolute stare.
You knew that. Gon and Killua knew that also.
Even so, all three of you were prepared and eager to do whatever it takes to strengthen yourselves and help Kite save NGL.
⋯✰⋯
Kite looked serene as the light of the small campfire lit up his features. He and Gon had caught some fish for dinner earlier, while Killua and you set up camp. Now, you sat brushing arms with Killua, who was sitting next to Gon, who was huddled up close to Kite. The night was quiet, except for the cicadas singing in the trees and the thoughts running through you and your friend's minds.
There was a lot to think about.
Gon and Killua hadn't even been given the time to grieve over the loss of their past acquaintance, before being hit with the hard-hitting truth that the Ants were already evolving at a nightmarish rate. Nobody knew how many had gone missing or even more so been eaten. Yet everyone knew that the death count had already surpassed comprehensible numbers. Most likely, not everybody here would make it out alive.
But, the three of you consistently have proven the odds wrong. You held onto that fact like you held onto your pendant.
It reassured you.
It was obvious that the three of you had become inseparable over the past two years.
After you met Gon and Killua at Heaven's Arena, you'd never left each other's side.
Nobody would be going home without the other, because you had all found home within each other.
"Hey, Kite? What was your dad like?" Gon asked.
Kite looked up at the boy, surprised by the sudden question. Turning his eyes to the starry night sky, he exhaled a breath of cold air.
"I didn't know him. He disappeared when I was a child."
Gon hummed, waiting for Kite to continue. He knew that feeling too. It was an icy and empty feeling, not having a father figure in your life to guide you, praise you.
"I have very few memories of him, but they've all muddled together by now. Sometimes I can't tell if they're real or if I've convinced myself they are."
"....I think Ging would thank you."
This brought Kite's attention back to Gon.
"Thank me for what?"
"Well... You've been like a sort of mentor for me ever since we met, back on Whale Island. If it weren't for you, I would never have even become a hunter. Maybe I'm just a kid, but the past month it felt like I.. like I had a dad."
Your heart ached for Gon, who had been searching this whole time for his father in everyone he met and everything he saw. Gently, you placed your hand over his and squeezed it, wishing you could be of more comfort to him. Wishing you could turn back time and bring Ging back to his home, to Gon.
Kite's eyes softened as he looked at the boy, who offered a wobbly smile.
"Ging would be proud of you," he said, ruffling Gon's spiky hair.
That night, the glimmering moonlight had brought out your most vulnerable selves. You felt a honey-like warmth grow inside of you— a new member had just been added to your family. Killua seemed content, happy that his friend was smiling. And Gon's eyes matched the twinkling stars as he looked up to Kite like he was the most wonderful thing.
It was a special night. You knew deep down that you would treasure it, for a long time to come.

Info | Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3
[MIGUEL GALINDO X OC]
Word count ; 1,964
Luciana felt like she couldn't sit still for anything as she intensively watched as the clock ticked above her wooden desk. The Oceteva girl had practically been jumping up and down like an excited bunny ever since school had let out hours ago. Luciana had barely contained her excitement on her walk home as her thoughts were only filled of the surprise that Miguel had planned and her plan of finally telling him how she felt.
The Oceteva girl couldn't help the small squeal of excitement that fell from her painted red lips as soon as her clock finally read ten o'clock. Luciana took a glance over to her cracked bedroom door, and sure enough, she saw that the lights were out - which meant that her parents had fallen asleep for the night.
This was always Luciana's usual routine when she would go meet up with Miguel. She would wait until her parents had closed their bedroom door for the night and all the lights in the house were off before she would make her escape. Luciana's brother, Nestor, usually wasn't home when she left at ten but when he was, Luciana would just make up a lie so he didn't know she was going to see his best friend.
The brunette teenager jumped up from her desk as it was time to finally see her amazing boyfriend after not seeing him since this morning at school. Luciana quickly jogged over to her full body mirror as she wanted to make sure that she looked perfect for Miguel's surprise. The Oceteva girl smoothed her hands down her short denim skirt and fixed the lavender button up shirt, that she had stolen from Miguel over this summer, so one side was hanging off her shoulder and the other was straight.
Luciana gave her reflection a wide smile once she was happy with her outfit that she knew Miguel would absolutely love before she jogged over to the foot of her bed. The Oceteva girl quickly slipped on a pair of black Dr. Martens combat boots and grabbed a small lavender purse that held her Nokia phone and her clear lip gloss before she rushed out of her bedroom as quietly as she could.
Luciana was quite comfortable with sneaking out like she had been doing for the past year so she knew all the right steps to take in the hallway and in the living room to not hit any of the squeaky floorboards. The Oceteva girl was just about to reach the front door to make her grand escape but Luciana wasn't counting for her brother to suddenly pop out of the kitchen and ask, "hey, where are you going?"
The youngest Oceteva froze in her spot before she reminded herself to relax at the fact that it was only her brother and not her parents. Luciana took a deep breath before she turned around and faced Nestor with her usual bright smile so he wouldn't think that she was up to something. "I was just going to go pick up some snacks from the store," Luciana explained with a small shrug of her shoulders like it wasn't a big deal.
"Oh, alright," Nestor mumbled with a nod of his head before he tossed his body onto his parent's couch in the living room. Nestor wasn't overly protective when it came to his sister, well, sometimes, but this time - he just wanted to know where Luciana would be. It was just a sibling thing. The Oceteva teenager waved his hand with a small smirk playing on his lips when Luciana continued to just stand there before he told his sister, "well, get going then, ugly."
Luciana rolled her brown irises at her brother before she mumbled as she carelessly waved her hand, "yeah, yeah, yeah." The Oceteva girl shook her head in amusement as she walked towards the front door before she told Nestor as she took her exit with the nickname that they have called each other since middle school, "I'll see you later, ugly."
The Oceteva girl released a happy sigh once she closed the door of her home behind her and began walking down the street as she realized that she was free from being caught and she was that closer to finally seeing what Miguel's surprise was. Luciana couldn't help the bright smile that shined across her face when she saw that the familiar park, her and Miguel's meeting spot, was only a few feet in front of her.
Luciana could barley contain her excitement as she jogged the rest of the way to the park. However, when the Oceteva girl couldn't see the Galindo teenager when she walked onto the soft sand, Luciana couldn't help but to roll her brown eyes. "Of course," Luciana mumbled to herself before she released a small chuckle as she knew Miguel had a thing about being fashionably late - even to his own plan.
The Oceteva girl shrugged her shoulders as she was used to Miguel's tardiness before she skipped her way over to the set of swings. Luciana placed her denim bottom into one of the black seats before she began to swing as her brown irises was locked on the bright moon in the sky. The brunette girl couldn't help the happy sigh that escaped her lips as she waited for her boyfriend.
Miguel meant the absolute world to Luciana - even though their relationship was still fairly new with only being with one another for less than a year. They had been friends basically their whole childhood so it wasn't like they didn't already know so much about each other. Luciana had a crush on Miguel for years so it wasn't surprising that she already cared and loved him so much. That was another reason why Luciana was so excited for tonight since she planned on finally confessing her feelings to him.
Luciana was so lost in her thoughts about the love of her life that it took a dog running up beside her for the Oceteva girl to realize that she had been sitting on the swing for a while. The brunette teenager took a glance down to the silver watch on her wrist as she curious of how long she had been at the park before she immediately frowned when she saw it was already after eleven o'clock.
Luciana couldn't help but to get worried that Miguel hadn't showed up yet nor had he called to let her know that he was going to be a little late like he usually would. The Oceteva girl wanted to make sure that Miguel was still coming so Luciana pulled her Nokia phone out of her lavender purse to give the Galindo teenager a call.
However, though, before Luciana could even begin to dial her boyfriend's number, the Oceteva girl was interrupted as her brother's number popped up onto her device. The Oceteva girl huffed out a sigh at her annoying brother before she pressed the accept button as she realized that maybe Nestor could be calling to tell her that Miguel had showed up to their house. "Hey, what's up?" Luciana greeted her brother in a normal voice and not a worried one after she brought her Nokia up to her ear.
Luciana, sadly, didn't get the response that she had been hoping for with the location of her boyfriend. Instead, the oldest Oceteva sibling ignored his sister's greeting as he excitedly asked, "hey, did Mikey tell you the good news yet?"
The brunette girl immediately furrowed her brows at her brother's words before she mumbled, "uh, no." Luciana honestly had no idea what the hell Nestor was talking about. Luciana, for all she knew, nothing interesting had happened to her boyfriend lately. Unless, Luciana thought before she quickly shook her head as she knew Miguel wouldn't out their relationship to her brother without telling her first.
Nestor released an amused chuckle at the thought of his best friend before he told his sister with a shrug of his shoulders, "oh, he's probably already left, that overachiever." The older Oceteva lightly waved his hand, even though his sister couldn't even see it, before he told Luciana the good news, "well, anyways, Miguel's dad just called me and said Miguel got an early acceptance into Princeton. Jose said Mickey left to America as soon as he got the news!"
The Oceteva girl immediately let out a loud gasp as she felt her heart break. Luciana didn't even know that Miguel had been applying to any universities. Miguel had told her that he was going to look for a job in the city to get away from his father, so it didn't make any sense. Luciana didn't understand why Miguel would decide to go to the states for school like his father wanted. It was just completely mind boggling that she couldn't even comprehend what she was feeling right now.
However, despite Luciana's broken heart, she knew that she couldn't show her true emotions about how heartbroken she was to her clueless brother or he would know something was between her and Miguel. The Oceteva girl knew that she had to suck up her sadness for the moment, so she took a deep breath before she exclaimed as if she was truly happy, "that's amazing!"
"We can call him tomorrow to congratulate him," Nestor told his sister before he commanded with a chuckle, "now hurry your ass up. It's been over an hour and I'm fucking starving."
Luciana swore underneath her breath as she forgot that she had told her brother that she was getting food at the store for an excuse to meet up with Miguel. The thought of the Galindo teenager instantly made tears cloud Luciana's brown irises. The Oceteva girl quickly wiped the tears as best as she could before she mumbled, "yeah, okay."
Luciana didn't wait for her brother to say anything more before she hurriedly ended the call with her hands shaking as she did so. The Oceteva girl tossed the Nokia phone down on the sand below her feet as soon as she ended the call and she let all the tears fall from her eyes. Luciana couldn't help the loud sob that escaped her body from the fact that Miguel just left like that. It was even worse that Miguel didn't even say goodbye to her.
Luciana would have been upset, sure, but she would have still supported him if he had changed his mind about going to college. Luciana just didn't believe that Miguel didn't care enough about her to tell her the truth. The Oceteva girl shook her head with a humorless chuckle as she realized something - that she was all just one big game to him. Luciana figured that she was just one last high school hurrah for him before he started his new life in the states.
The Oceteva girl couldn't stop the tears and the sobs that continued to rack her figure as her body slowly slid out of the swing and down onto the sand. Luciana had never felt anymore broken than she felt right now. Luciana felt like Miguel cherished and took care of her heart for less than a year before he ripped it from her chest and stomped on it.
"I guess I never really meant anything to you," Luciana mumbled to herself as she tightly wrapped her arms around the lavender button up shirt that belonged to the boy who never really cared for her as tears continued to pour down her cheeks and her heart continued to break over and over again, "it was all just a game for you to break my heart when you meant the world to me."

Moodboard: Jaime x Brienne - Captain America AU
Note: After the Iron Man AU Moodboard was surprisingly well-received by you guys (I already thought it would bring the wrath of two fandoms merging upon me LOL), I went down that rabbit hole for more plot bunnies. So I wanted to do one that is more from Brienne’s perspective next, and that sent me down Captain America road. I know I hereby set myself as a Steve/Bucky shipper, even though the canon romances were assigned differently, but it is the relationship most heavily explored and has both at the same age across the different movies. Plus, you gotta give me that much: One blond Character A who is honorbound and brave past the point of sense who shares a significant relationship with Character B with GREAT hair whom A likes to banter with and trusts deeply, and also someone who also loses a limb in the course of the narrative, an arm no less. And no one else sees in Character B what Character A sees in B… the point is… I think JB work well for a Wackyfied version of Steve and Bucky in the Captain America franchise. But… enough of that, LOL. Let’s go down the MCU Rabbit Hole of No Return.
Brienne, formerly known as Captain Westeros, still has a hard time adjusting to the new age she now lives in, and that even though she is a relic from centuries ago, a super soldier who was put into cryostasis and now revived by a secret agency to aid them in defeating the same organization that took everything Brienne ever cared for away from her.
She came to care about the head of the organization, Davos Seaworth, and the young man who was assigned to her assistance, Podrick Payne. Even more so after they were there for her when Brienne had to bid Margaery Tyrell goodbye. She was the one person who lived long enough to see Brienne re-awaken, after Tyrion passed away while she was still asleep, even though Marge was an old lady by the time, a mirror image of her grandmother Olenna. Who could have guessed that Marge would turn out to be a founding member of the organization that now employs Brienne? It broke her heart to attend Margaery’s funeral, as it reminded Brienne of how her time should have been up the same way, long, long time ago. Marge at least lived her life. Pursued her career, helped create something she believed in, married, had children.
And what is there for Brienne other than service? Other than duty? Nothing much.
Back during the old days, Brienne made a choice and it predetermined her path all the way to here and now, and she doesn’t know what to make of all of this as of late. She doesn’t belong to this time, and she is not entirely sure whether she belongs to the agency at large, even though she has great faith in Davos and Pod. However, of that one thing she is certain: Brienne will bring down that organization that took so much away from her, even if it is the last thing on earth she does.
For him.
And so, she finds herself fighting bad guys along the way, back in her old, if updated, Captain Westeros suit alongside her shield which she named Oathkeeper. However, things take a sudden turn when she is up against a new, masked enemy with a metal arm destroying half the city. And to Brienne’s even greater shock, the man can handle catching her shield, something that normally no one can.
Though that is only the beginning as the man turns out to be someone from her past.
“Jaime?!”
“Who the hell is Jaime?”
The man rushes off before Brienne can do as much as question him, but apparently, it is Jaime, the man she thought died in the mountains on the mission that changed her life forever.
“It was him. I know it. But how did he survive that fall?” Brienne questions once she reports back to the headquarters. “I thought he was dead.”
And she didn’t even get to hold him as he died.
“We have to find out what exactly happened,” Davos tells her. “Though I am afraid the man you knew may no longer be in there. For all it seems, the Faceless Men… changed him, erased everything from his memory to make him do what they want. He is their tool now, a very dangerous tool without mercy.”
“Doesn’t matter. I have to get him out of there,” Brienne insists. “I failed to protect him once, and I won’t repeat that mistake a second time.”
“The agency will demand of you to bring him down, I am afraid.”
“Then I suppose I am out. Sorry, Davos. I owe that man everything. So unless you can convince the officials to let me catch him alive, I will do just that without getting a permit. This is about a war hero, someone who was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for our country, to keep the peace. And if we don’t even try at the very least to get him alive and cure him, I don’t know what this agency is meant to stand for. Or rather, if that is the case, I know that I can’t stand for it. Because that isn’t just.”
With that, Brienne takes off. While she dedicated many years of her life to nothing but service to the government, there is one thing where she finds it has to stop, and that is Jaime Lannister.
Because, if not for him, Brienne doesn’t know where she would have ended up.
He saved her when no one else even so much as looked at her.
It was him, always only him.
Brienne met Jaime in a gym at King’s Landing what is now seventy years ago. She went there after the closing hours to get her head clear when she was yet again refused from active duty at the military. While they were fine offering her an administrative position, they refused to let Brienne enter the warzone like any other male soldier. And then she ran into a commander fallen from grace after Jaime killed Admiral Aerys Targaryen while on active duty. Though to her surprise, she found that the man was not at all what he seemed to be because Jaime was the first one to accept this ugly, mannish woman and understand her wish to serve as he shared just that sentiment.
“I joined even though my father had pulled threads to bypass the draft for me. I told him to fuck himself and enlisted on my own. Well, now I have to live off of the small fortune I have earned myself as a soldier, but the family wealth is gone for me. Though it’s worth it, I guess. The apartment is big enough for one person and I get to do what I want to do. Even if no one wants to see the honor of the act.”
It wasn’t until long that the two developed a deep friendship, though it was soon put to the test when Brienne received the devastating news that her home island Tarth had been bombed, in the process of which it was almost entirely destroyed. And no one, including her father, survived the vicious attack. Thus, she stood there without money, without a place to stay as her father had provided for all of it, and it was Jaime who instantly took her in, helped her arrange the funeral and held her hand as Admiral Selwyn Tarth was given the last honors.
Jaime was the first man who made her feel less lonely in this world, but her wish to join the military only ever gained power as Brienne wanted to avenge her father as well and bring those people to justice who bombed an entire island just for strategic gain. Her wish expanded off-limits when Jaime received the news that he was back in the draft as they could not afford to leave one of the most able men out of service against the odds of his reputation.
“Seems like I get a shot at earning my spot as a war hero after all, wench.”
After a dance that never happened and Jaime’s departure to the North to join the forces there, Brienne found herself soon approached by Jaime’s brother Tyrion, a scientist who also worked for the military, whom Jaime had tasked to “look after her,” though the dwarf had other intentions: He found a loophole that allowed Brienne to join active duty as he worked for the agency at a higher level than those who kept refusing her. For that, all Brienne had to do was to become his “guinea pig” as Tyrion meant to turn the tide in the war with genetically enhanced super soldiers to defeat the underlying threat of the Faceless Men who had successfully moved the chess pieces in such a way that countries went to war. All she had to do was sign a contract with the Special Forces, which is what Brienne did. The fact that the experiment turned her even more mannish and stronger than she was by nature didn’t matter much to her as Brienne was only driven by one idea: To finally get into the warzone and hopefully reunite with Jaime.
When the experimentation phase was over, Brienne was finally granted the privilege to put together a team, and she instantly wanted to enlist Jaime, only to find out that he had been taken by the Faceless Men. The generals gave her little hope that he had survived, but Brienne insisted on going anyway, and thus headed North with the rest of the team to where they suspected the hideout. And indeed, Jaime was alive by the time they got there, though the man was very much shocked to see Brienne after all this time.
“Wench?!”
“I thought you were dead.”
“I thought you were... not that tall last time I saw you. And you were a giantess already.”
“I should just leave you here.”
“Nah, you love me too much to leave me behind. Plus, honor compels you and all.”
With Jaime reunited, Brienne thought things were finally going right. She could fight by Jaime’s side and they were taking on the people who had staged the war that had cost them all so very much. It was like a dream, but that dream then turned nightmare when another mission in the North cost her everything all over: Jaime fell off a train, and to his death, which left Brienne completely devastated.
Government shut down the Special Forces team thereafter, deeming it too ineffective to end the Faceless Men, though Brienne didn’t care much about it by the time as the loss of Jaime consumed her.
Things took a sudden turn in another direction when Brienne was approached by Margaery Tyrell, a young officer at the military who told her upon first meeting that she owed Brienne her career:
“If not for you, there never would have been women on active duty. And while I still like to recruit rather than get my hands on a gun, it is thanks to you that we have the chance to do it ever since, Captain.”
As it turned out, there was a secret effort by some officers, including Margaery, to revive the Special Forces to bring down the Faceless Men after they received some vital information about who were the people behind it, one name most prominent being Red Skull, an ominous figure somehow connected to a businessman named Jaqen H’ghar. Since Brienne had nothing much to lose, she enlisted and was given what Margaery called “an overall outfit upgrade.” And so, with new suit and shield made of Valyrian steel which Brienne named Oathkeeper in Jaime’s honor, they went on the hunt again.
They were very close to finally catching Red Skull as they figured out that he was the same man as Jaqen H’ghar in disguise, but the man was determined to see chaos spread, which is why Red Skull was willing to use remaining wildfire resources hidden underneath King’s Landing to blow up the city to blame the attack on opposite parties to keep the war running. Brienne managed to load the missiles on a jet and fly it into the Narrow Sea, even at the risk of her own life. After all, she had nothing to lose anymore.
She lost everything when Jaime fell to his death.
However, as it turned out, it wasn’t the end for Captain Westeros as Brienne opened her eyes again seventy years later, only to come face to face with the man she thought had died half a year before the decisive day that she crashed into the ocean.
Which means that there is something to lose again, or rather, something to gain again if she acts fast enough and makes sure Jaime doesn’t slip away from her another time, no matter the costs, no matter the sacrifice.
Now known as the Winter Commander, Jaime has become an integral member of the Faceless Men. Brienne has to learn that they did indeed rescue him after the fall, which Jaime barely survived, in order to erase all memory from Jaime’s mind and thus use him as a pawn to continue to spread chaos across the Seven Kingdoms and take out vital political figures to further the interest of the Faceless Men who have since profited from the ongoing wars.
They make their money with the dead after all.
Alone on her quest of catching Jaime alive, Brienne thus has to fight not just the agency she wants to defeat anyway, but also has to deal with the circumstance that she is considered a criminal now in the eyes of her government. However, Brienne won’t let that stop her.
This is not the end of the line for them just yet, she won’t let it be.
And so, Brienne hunts down the Winter Commander and under much, much effort, manages to overpower Jaime and bring him to a safe hideout, as Podrick still aids her in secret, an order Brienne knows comes from Davos, though he would not admit it as he is still running the agency. At first, Brienne fears that there is no way to bring him back, but as she keeps talking to Jaime, the memories seem to resurface at last:
“Jaime, do you remember me?”
“Your dad's name was Selwyn. You broke off the heels of a new pair of shoes one time to chase down a thief and the high heels were in the way.”
While Brienne is overjoyed that Jaime finally comes to remember her and their shared past, they are made painfully aware that even a safe hideout isn’t safe for them. They are both wanted targets, by government and Faceless Men alike, and both are eager to take them out – and have the resources to carry it out.
They have to continuously run away from either agency hunting them down as they try to find a way to ensure that Jaime won’t slip back into the Winter Commander persona. However, that is not the end of the struggle as Jaime remains convinced that he is past the point of being saved. Now that he remembers both the past and what he did while operating as the Winter Commander, he knows that he has done horrid deeds for the Faceless Men to keep the war running he once tried to prevent alongside Brienne. And to make matters worse, he has to realize soon enough that his corruption may well mean that of the woman he cares about so much as well. Because Brienne is an honorable person, past the point of sense at times, and to see her being framed as a villain, as a public enemy, tears Jaime apart even more than does all of this anyway. Which is why he, time and time again, suggests to Brienne to simply turn him over to her agency and let them end it, something that Brienne resolutely refuses.
“But I am dangerous. You have seen it, you have felt it. I am a monster.”
“Not to me. I knocked you into the dust before, remember? I can overpower you to this day, Jaime, nothing has changed about that ever since I took apart the guys who talked behind your back in my presence.”
“The Faceless Men messed with my brain. You can’t defeat that with muscle strength, wench, that’s the whole problem.”
“Then we just have to find a solution. The way we always did, the way we always do.”
While Jaime remains skeptical about the success of the mission, he finds himself joining Brienne on the quest for a solution. Thus, the two team up to find information on the Faceless Men to find those responsible who turned Jaime. If they manage to expose that conspiracy, they may clear his name and thus get means from the government to work on his healing rather than his erasure from the face of the earth.
And the closer they are forced to stand together in the face of the omnipresent danger all around, the two have to discover, or rather rediscover feelings that they have kept hidden for so many years, centuries in fact.
While the two find old feelings burning up even stronger than before, they struggle to dodge the bullets aimed at them from all sides. However, much worse trouble is ahead of them when agents from the Faceless Men are ordered to reset Jaime and turn him back into the submissive Winter Commander as they have the word combination it takes to make Jaime forget all about his life and only remember the mission the Faceless Men assign to him. And it may be that Brienne will lose Jaime another time, unless they find a way to defeat the Faceless Men, stop their schemes for another war they plan on, and make sure Jaime stays Jaime, just Jaime…

Raspberries Challenge Entry #1: Zootopia x Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Author’s Note: Apologies, I meant to update this yesterday but I really couldn’t find the time, so here it is! I also posted this on FanFiction, so if you prefer to check it out there you can find it there too. Note: Though I normally write in present tense, I went with past tense here. Just hope it reads good, it’s been a while since I’ve written in that style, lol! Hope you enjoy this and I’ll see you all next week for a Pinocchio crossover! xD
.
Judith Hopps and the Seven Dwarfs
Once upon a time, there lived a lovely little bunny princess named Judith Hopps. Her vain and wicked stepmother, Queen Bellwether, feared that one day Judith’s beauty would surpass her own. So she dressed the little bunny princess in rags and forced her to work as a scullery maid.
Each day, the vain Queen consulted her magic mirror. “Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?”
…….and as long as the mirror answered, “You are the fairest one of all.” Judith was safe from the sheep queen’s cruel jealousy.
...That is of course…
Until the magic mirror spoke otherwise, claiming Judith Hopps, the fairest one of all. A fact, which left the wicked sheep's blood boiling.
.
Princess Judith washed the bottom steps of the castle’s stairway, clad in a torn and patched up, dirty cream and brown colored dress, and a pale blue bow atop her head. Her attire, a complete contradiction to her actual royal status as the daughter of the true late rulers of the Hopps Kingdom, King Stuart and Queen Bonnie.
After giving the steps a good scrubbing, Judith sighed, brushing an arm across her brow. Clearly tired after a long day’s work. Alas however, the day’s work was not yet over.
Judith rose to her feet, bucket in paw to fetch more water from the nearby well to continue on with her duties.
She set the empty bucket down to pull up a fresh bucket of water from the well. Placing the full bucket beside her on the well’s edge, Judith gazed down below at the water in the well, viewing her reflection in the ripples of the water and taking in her dirty clothes and dirt covered cheeks.
Judith sighed once more, pulling out a locket hidden in her blouse. Within the locket was a small portrait of her dear deceased parents. “I suppose this isn’t how you pictured life to turn out for me after your marriage to Queen Bellwether, is it father?” Judith shifted her gaze back down to her reflection, then back at the locket. “It’s okay, I don’t blame you. You couldn’t have known how cruel she would be after your death,” she smiled gently at the locket, an understanding look in her eyes.
“Well, while I have you guys here…” Judith shifted her eyes right to left, making sure a certain sheep wasn’t watching. “Want to know a secret?” she whispered to the rabbits in the portrait, as if expecting them to answer as they once used to whenever she would regale them with her secrets. “Promise not to tell?” she giggled with a bashful smile.
Her cheeks blushed red as her innocent heart suddenly felt warm and full of love. “I had a dream last night, where a wonderful prince came to me and took me from this terrible place. I couldn’t see his face, but he had the most gentle voice and…” she puffed her chest to release an ecstasy ridden sigh, “he made feel worthwhile again. He made me feel...loved again.”
Judith gazed back at the locket -- no reaction from her parents, of course -- but she could swear she almost heard her mother remind her of something they used to do together from when Judith was a child. “What was that, Mother? You want me to sing our old song and wish it upon the well?” Judith giggled, “I haven’t done that since I was a kit.” She stared at her mother’s warm gaze in the locket, returning back a tender gaze of her own, “Very well then. If you insist.”
Judith looked back down the well, as her and her mother’s song began to swell in her heart:
We are standing by a wishing well
Make a wish into the well,
That's all you have to do,
And if you hear it echoing,
Your wish will soon come true,
Judith set her paws on the well’s edge to sing directly into it. Hoping, to hear her wish resonate back to her from the well’s echo.
I'm wishing,
                         I'm wishing    ……...it echoed back.
For the one I love,
To find me
                        To find me
Today,
                        Today
I'm hoping,
                         I'm hoping
And I’m dreaming of,
The nice things,
                        The nice things
He’ll say,
                         He’ll say
As if magically summoned by her voice, a young fox prince by the name of Nicholas Wilde, suddenly made his way by the castle’s walls. Though he just happened to be passing by, he stopped dead in his tracks upon hearing the love stricken bunny’s soothing voice resonate past the walls. His ears stood erect, completely and utterly mesmerized by the sweet, angelic voice beyond the wall. “What’s that? It’s coming from over there.” He curiously made his way toward the source of the singing, climbing over one of the castle’s shorter walls.
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
                         Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
                         Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
                         Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah!
                         Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah!
Upon climbing the wall, Prince Nicholas sat stunned, his jaw dropping once laying eyes on the source of the voice. Before him, singing by a wishing well was a gorgeous young rabbit. Her fur gray and her eyes bright and beautiful as an amethyst gemstone. Nicholas’ low hanging jaw immediately rose back up into a more than pleased smile at the sublime sight before him.
He climbed down the rest of the way, desiring nothing more but to introduce himself to the lovely rabbit. Judith meanwhile, continued on with her song. Her eyes closed, lost in song, and completely unaware of the young suitor making his way toward her.
I'm wishing,
                         I'm wishing
For the one I love,
To find me,
                        To find me
Today…
Prince Nicholas suddenly popped up beside her by the well, echoing back her last word:
Todaaaaaaay!
“Waaahh!!!” Judith screamed in shock, shooting her eyes open and whacking the bucket beside her with enough force to send it flying right SMACK at Prince Nicholas’ face!
“Aaghn!” Nicholas could swear his head was spinning over his shoulders as a goofy, clearly dazed look on his face overtook him. He lifted his finger to address an answer at all four of the bunnies he was currently seeing, “I found you--egh” The fox prince fell back down into the well. A big splash rising up after him.
“Aah! Oh no!” Judith gasped with her paws at her mouth. She quickly lowered the bucket down the well to lift the fox back up from it.
She groaned and clenched her teeth as she began to slowly pull up the now heavy bucket that was carrying the fox.
Upon lifting him up, Judith tied the rope to ensure he would not fall back in. She was glad to see he was unhurt, but he was soaked to the bone! Feeling completely and utterly embarrassed by her action, Judith frantically apologized to him, “Are you alright? I'm sorry! You surprised me and...I didn’t mean to knock you down the well!”
Despite his soaked state, the fox prince couldn’t help but smile, bearing her no Ill will, “Well, I guess that's one way a guy can fall for you,” he chuckled with a flirty smile.
Judith suddenly felt all the blood rush to her cheeks and ears, causing her to blush hard at his flattering words. Could it be her wish had indeed come true? Could it be that this fox was the valiant prince from her dream? The one who vowed his love to her and took her away from this horrible nightmare? If so...Oh...Judith groaned internally, feeling just so guilty and embarrassed that she’d made such a horrible first impression on the male that could have been the love of her life, “I’m so sorry! Please excuse me!” she choked and ran off on the verge of tears.
“W-Wait!” he called out after her, struggling to free his rear and tail from the bucket. “Come on, budge!” he pulled upward and popped right out of the bucket. All the while being cautious of not falling back into the well.
Judith meanwhile dashed toward her bedchamber, still feeling ashamed of herself.
“Wait Carrots! I-I mean Miss! Please Miss! I’m not angry or upset with you!” he raced after her desperately once freeing himself from the well.
Judith however didn’t care. She could hear his words, but she still felt far too embarrassed to stop.
“Miss please!” Nicholas watched as she ran into a nearby room with an open balcony.
In his desperation, he suddenly remembered that she had garnered his attention through her singing. His sharp mind acting quickly, he figured perhaps he could do the same. He cleared his throat and removed his hat like a true gentlemammal and began to sing what he felt in his heart for her:
Now that I’ve found you,
Hear what I have to saaay,
Judith suddenly felt her heart stop upon hearing the fox’s gentle voice call to her in song. Curious, she peeked out her balcony, still concealing herself behind the curtain. But rather than display the same look of mortification she previously had, she now bore a smile as the fox continued to serenade her from below her balcony.
One song,
I have but one song,
One song,
Only for you,
Judith saw how Nicholas twisted his cap to remove all the excess water from it. Nicholas’ eyes widened a bit in surprise at just how much water his cap had soaked in. Regardless of it all, he just shrugged, humored by it and winked at her to let her know everything was all right. Judith giggled, feeling her heart flutter at the handsome fox and his charming demeanor. Hiding back behind the curtain, she wrapped her arms around herself and sighed. Hardly being able to contain the feeling of love the fox was filling her with. She felt nothing could ruin this moment, until she looked back down to the skirt of her dress. She felt self conscious. How could he possibly find her beautiful dressed in such ugly and tattered clothes?
To Nicholas however, none of that mattered. He didn’t know why, but somehow he could feel there was more to this bunny than just her looks. He could see it in her eyes the moment he managed to stare directly into them -- that is before she accidentally knocked him down into the well -- but still!
Judith too, now looking at him well could tell that there was more to him too. He was after all trying to sweep her off her feet despite having seen her in her raggedy clothes. Fluffing up the fur of her cheeks and combing down the fur of her ears, Judith walked back out to stand at the balcony to be in Nicholas’ view.
One heart,
Tenderly beating
Ever entreating,
Constant and true,
Seeing her perched out at her balcony at last, Nicholas could feel his heart and courage swell. Her love entranced smile, giving him the courage to take a step closer up the steps leading up to her balcony.
One love,
That has possessed me,
One love,
Queen Bellwether meanwhile stood to observe the two from her window. Her heart filled with jealousy at the sight of the fox prince serenading the fairer bunny princess -- pouring his heart out to her. The sheep trembled with fury, feeling her heart fill with envy and hatred over the romantic scene, “Ugh!” she shut the curtains of her chamber window, refusing to view the scene any further.
Thrilling me through,
One song,
My heart keeps singing,
Of one love,
As he continued to serenade her, Judith took a flower hanging from a tree branch by her balcony and placed a tender kiss on it. She softly threw it down to Nicholas below her balcony.
Only for you
The flower weightlessly managed to glide its way down to Prince Nicholas’ paw, landing flat on the pad of his palm. Keeping his warm emerald gaze upon Judith, he returned the kiss on the flower, his lips soft and tender as if it had been the rabbit’s own lips he had placed a kiss upon.
He sighed happily, pressing the flower against his heart. All the while his beloved smiled lovingly  back at him. Her heart so full of love and joy. Judith slowly closed the curtains of her balcony, not wanting to remove her gaze from the fox and hoping to meet with him again in the future.
