The interior of Georges Fouquet’s Art Nouveau jewelry boutique in Paris. Every detail of the shop was designed by the Czech artist Alphonse Mucha in 1901. In 1923, Fouquet dismantled the shop and donated it to the Musée Carnavalet, a wonderful museum dedicated to preserving the history of Paris.

I made a point of visiting the Carnavalet after seeing pictures of this shop on the internet. I was not disappointed. If you love Art Nouveau, this is worthy of a pilgrimage.
