There’s just something so compelling about characters so loyal like a dog. One who would even go so far as to undergo dangerous, permanent alterations to her body to become a better tool for the person to whom they’re so utterly devoted.
Laxasia who are you, I wanna know more about this fascinating lady. What drove her to this level of loyalty. Why would she go so far. The people need to know

Lies of P Update -
So. I met Laxasia. Or more like, she met me - sword first. Can‘t say it was love on first sight; in fact I feel like she might very much dislike me.
But maybe we can learn to get along. We got time. I can already tell I will be here for a while XD
In all seriousness though - I can get her down to her second phase relatively safe, together with Spectre that is. I will have to get used to her much faster pace after that though - and her jumps, I am still figuring out if those are Perfect Guard-able or not. I think I can ping-pong her electrical volleyballs back at her though

Workplace Bullying (Fanfic)
One shot 💛
At the alchemist's headquarters things are calm, like the sea that surrounds the island, so Paracelsus decides to take the opportunity to take more notes in peace, there are many libraries in the place, specializing in different topics and one has been on his mind for some time: The Gold Fruin Coin Tree.
Today the place seems to be almost full, everyone else having the same idea as him to take the opportunity to research, Paracelsus quickly finds the book he was looking for on top of one of the shelves, he tries to grab it but is unable to, he tries to tiptoe in hopes of reaching it yet he still can’t.
“Oh Paracelsus let me help you with that” Valentinus had seen him struggling reaching for the book with ease, “Hope that helped”
Valentinus gave him a smile and walked away, the man obvious at what he had done, as he is obvious of how others scheme against him. As everyone saw Paracelsus had a hard time reaching the book. Alchemists tend to rarely completely agree on one thing, yet at that moment everyone else in that library had the same thought on their mind.
——
Paracelsus is a smart man so he quickly realizes what’s going on, how odd that he keeps having to use chairs to get to books or tools that have suspiciously moved to higher places. A confrontation would be pointless, he is sure more than one is behind this, having no other choice he resorts to grabbing anything useful he can find to get it, but there are times when simply that isn’t possible. Currently, he is at a meeting and someone specifically asked him to get something from them on one of the shelves, sure enough, despite his best tries he isn’t able to reach it.
“Do you need help, Paracelsus?”
He can sense the sweet but mocking tone right away, he tries two more times before giving up, getting a chair won’t work as they are all full, leaving him no choice but to ask for help. Having to deal with the stupid grins of everyone else for the rest of the meeting.
——
“Hey Paracelsus, do you mind helping me with something?” It was one of his female coworkers.
“Mmm?” He was caught off guard, too entranced in his notes, “Sure what do you need my help with?”
“Soooo I accidentally like, dropped something and I was wondering if you could like, help me get it back” The young woman sounded nice but Paracelsus could tell something was off.
“…Why me?”
The young woman pointed at a floor vent, mentioning how “clumsily” she had dropped a notebook and it “somehow” got stuck in there.
“Cause I’m pretty sure you can fit in there better than me” She was giving him a stupid smile.
He wants to refuse but other people are watching and he can’t be rude, obviously, he fits in the tiny vent to the amusement of those present.
“Thank you so much!” She even chuckled after saying it, looking too innocent despite her true intentions.
“Yeah you’re welcome” Paracelsus rolled his eyes and left the room as soon as possible.
——
10 times.
10 damn times he has overheard the same “size doesn’t matter” joke each time he passes next to one of his male colleagues.
“I’m just worried that this girl won’t like me because of my looks, long-distance relationships are hard,” said one of the most conventionally attractive men Paracelsus has seen.
“Come on dude” Another man, this one even prettier, started talking. “What’s the worst thing she can say?”
“Well, I sent her a portrait of me, what if she thinks I look smaller than in the painting?”
Paracelsus just left and spent the rest of the day in his room. Not even leaving to eat, making the excuse that he was too focused on his research.
—-
Paracelsus finally found what he was looking for, he leaned forward to grab the bottle containing liquid gold only for his hand to be met by someone else’s.
“I need this more than you Paracelsus” Simon grabbed the bottle with more force but Paracelsus didn’t let go.
“You don’t even know what I’m using it for” Paracelsus had a firm grasp on the bottle and tried to pull it away from Simon.
“Probably having to do with your childish dream of finding the nonexistent Gold Fruit Coin Tree” Simon pulled the bottle to his side.
“It IS a real tree” Paracelsus pulled the bottle to his side again.
Simon gave him a devious smile, before pulling the bottle upwards with all his force, Paracelsus dangling in the air for a few seconds before he let go.
“Now, why don’t you do something productive rather than chase ridiculous fairytales?” Simon left Paracelsus alone who was red with embarrassment and frustration.
—-
Oh, this is ridiculous.
Although the place is big and everyone has their own room, similarly to a boarding school they have to share bathrooms, designated places for men and women.
And someone had decided to move the water heater to a place he couldn’t reach, all that work must have taken hours to do, all simply to prank him?!
Paracelsus has no other choice but to shower in the cold water for the next few weeks, until the heater is finally set in place after Valetinus comments on finding it odd that is not where it’s supposed to be.
—-
“Oversized rat”, “Elf”, and “Dwarf” are some of the many names he has heard others say behind his back.
Not only that but they are starting to treat him as a child, even gifting him a few things meant for kids because “Oh I thought they were your size”
Recently a faire came to Krat and it came with attractions one could ride on, a few alchemists went, but he didn’t because that’s not something he enjoys still, that didn’t stop everyone from saying that it’s because he is too small to ride any of them.
Currently, he is working on a special weapon and other alchemists are in the room with him, working on weapons as well.
“Why is it round? That doesn’t seem very practical”
“He probably can’t use a normal sword because it would tower over him”
Paracelsus takes a deep breath and tries to focus his attention on the weapon.
“Also if he does find that stupid tree, you think he will need a ladder to grab the fruit?”
“Ladder? He will probably need an elevator to reach it”
“Calm down Paracelsus, calm down” He is trying to reassure himself, it has already been two months, surely soon they will get tired of it and finally leave him alone.
——
“Needless to say this has gone too far” Valentinus was angry, something no one else had seen in the many years working with him, “Anyone has anything to say in their defense?”
All alchemists were called for this mandatory meeting, not being here would result in higher punishments.
“We are just teasing!” Someone shouted from the crowd.
“Teasing? The poor man has been crying for 3 hours!”
Apparently, someone thought it would be a good idea to break into Paracelsus’s room, taking advantage that the man had gone out for research purposes and would come back late. The goal was to take a few clothes and put them in places he couldn’t reach but instead, Paracelsus's diary was fun in this process, alongside a teddy bear lying in his bed, that discovery had to be shared by everyone, and by the end of the day almost everyone had seen what has written on his diary and the bear was tossed around from person to person.
“Valentinus is right, this is the behavior of petty school kids” Simon was standing next to Valentinus as he was the second in command, a few people rolled their eyes at him. Although it’s not as if he truly cares about Paracelsus's feelings, the issue is that the man had written in his diary about the secret plans, and that could compromise the entire mission it took him decades to achieve.
When Simon first saw the diary being passed around, he thought it must have belonged to Sophia as she comes here often to spend time with her father. What kind of grown man uses phrases like “Super Duper” or makes stupid drawings?
When Paracelsus inevitably arrived first there was the crying; then the hysterical laughter; then the anger, Paracelsus grabbed the weapon he had just finished making the Uroborus Eye, and was about to kill the one responsible right then and there, fortunately for the culprit Laxasia was there and stopped him, the man put up a fight, too consumed by rage he wasn’t going to let Laxasia get in his way but in the end, the woman was stronger than him and ended up restraining him. So now he is back to sobbing, locking himself in his room clinging to that teddy bear as if his life depended on it.
The culprit has already been officially fired from the alchemist, since they were a new recruit it’s not as if anything was truly lost by letting them go.
“This is completely inexcusable, since all of you want to act like children now everyone has to write him a formal apology” There was fire in Valenitus’s eyes, the man had never been so angry.
Everyone was groaning at that, they already learned not to mess with him after seeing him fight Laxasia, no one wants to meet their untimely demise, they are looking for the opposite, immortal life.
“No excuses, this is what we have agreed on” Simon knows that Paracelsus could sue for workplace harassment and win, the media would love a scandal like that, their budget could be cut, and it would be a complete disaster.
“Let this be a lesson, this behavior won’t be tolerated any longer, if this happens again to him or anyone else, there will be even bigger consequences” Valentinus even slammed his fist on a desk, the message loud and clear, they tested his patience and he was about to show his true authority, the reason he is the leader of the alchemists.
The next day Paracelsus got his many many apology letters, there are too many alchemists and that’s just the one staying here at Arche Abby, he set aside a place in his room to place them all; he did read them all, having free time as he is now on paid vacation planning to leave in a few days to fully enjoy it. Valenitus apologized profusely for letting this go on for so long, he even offered to pay for free counseling if he felt he needed it but Paracelsus declined. Now he is starting to feel bad for planning things behind this man’s back although not bad enough to reveal the truth, not to mention that this wouldn’t have gone for long if Valentinus wasn’t so damn oblivious to everything that happens around him. Paracelsus is surprised that Valentinus didn’t find out what he had written in his diary about the plans, although it was extremely embarrassing that his boss did see some of his writings.
“You should at least be proud of your beautiful handwriting, my daughter has similar handwriting and it’s always pleasant to see”
That’s not the compliment that man thinks it is. Paracelsus buries his hands on his face in shame and Valentinus is trying to confront him.
“If it’s any consolation, I’m sure that the um, that the tree could be real” It’s clear that Valentinus also thinks that it’s not real, “I admire your efforts in… finding the truth”
Paracelsus wants to start crying again because to quote his diary:
“I’m super duper close to finding the truth of the gold tree 🌳 :3
With its properties I will be able to find the cure of almost every disease but I’m worried I won’t be able to touch it due to the tree being able to reject who can pick on in >.>
But I will prove everyone wrong and once that happens everyone will respect me again (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ and finally stop being mean to me (っ- ‸ - ς)
It’s getting late٩(ˊ〇ˋ)و so I’m going to bed now, can’t wait to leave tomorrow and see what I can find. ʕuᴥUʔ”
“If you need any help, I’m your friend and you can always count on me” Valentinus gave him a warm smile before leaving.
Paracelsus wonders if the man thinks he has issues although he can’t blame him if he sees him that way, not the first time he has had a mental breakdown, as he didn't have a pretty childhood but at least compared to others this one wasn’t that bad.
The letters were what you would expect, although he did get more sincere apologies than he expected making him feel relieved, one of the letters stood out, completely different from the rest, telling him to meet at a designated place at a designated time. After all the torment Paracelsus has endured he has lost all his trust in people however this letter was from Laxasia, the only other person aside from Valentinus who never made fun of him.
An abandoned warehouse was not what he expected, Laxasia was waiting for him inside sitting on top of a locked vault.
“I understand what you went through”
Laxasia had to deal with the opposite, as Adriana was a very tall young girl, not to mention muscular, pair that up with a preference for short hair and her school days were filled with relentless bullying. She even had a similar incident occur, her past self giving a boy a love letter who proceeded to show it around to everyone making a mockery of her, she thought she would never love again until she was proven wrong by meeting Simon her savior.
“So I get the need for revenge”
Laxasia opened the vault to reveal a man tied up, the one who had violated his privacy. Sure, Paracelsus won’t be able to get revenge on everyone who wronged him but torturing the one that caused him the most distress is something he welcomes.
“Thank you” Paracelsus is delighted, appreciating the kind gesture.
Laxasasia smiled at him, “You are also quite the worthy adversary” She was impressed by his fighting skills.
That night Paracelsus had a lot of fun, even getting to test a few of his recent theories. When it was all said and done he gracefully got rid of the evidence and went back to the abbey, only to collect his belongings as his well-deserved vacation awaited him.
When he returned everything was back to normal, the alchemists moved on with their lives and found other ways to entertain themselves mainly by experimenting. Yet no matter where one works, office drama remains and one day, he overheard someone talking badly about Laxasia. Paracelsus wasted no time capturing them and delivering the person as a present. Laxasia has also started to do the same when she hears others mocking Paracelsus.
Their friendship began to evolve, the two of them spending more time together, opening up more about each other, mainly about the hard things they had to endure, knowing they could trust one another. Even starting to train together, both were glad to have a friendly spar from time to time. Others have learned their lesson, knowing it’s best to not mess with either of them.
“The two of you seem to be getting along” Simon had entered the study room to find Paracelsus doing Laxasia’s nails.
“That’s great!” Valentinus was just right behind him, “We should encourage others to have more meaningful relationships”
Paracelsus and Laxasia smiled at each other, neither of them believed they could form any meaningful relationships while in here, not even Laxasia as despite her deep love for Simon she knows it’s not meant to be, that it’s the only thing that makes her flawed. Alchemists don’t tend to care for one another, it’s everyone from themselves, what truly matters is the pursuit of knowledge. This is a welcoming change, only the start of their beautiful friendship.
