Lethia, Monster of the Week Project
(Id love to hear opinions or ideas on these! I want them to have a large variety but lean towards scary)
Monsters
Two-Tailed Humans
People that have been partially replaced
Victims are marked by a tail like growth which the creatures then use to slowly merge
When the first tail appears the creature can begin using the human's body.
By the second tail the person is entirely under the creatures control, the body starts being used to kill and eat people.
The person is still semi-concus in order for the creature to pass all questionings
When suspicion is fully realized, the creature marks a new victim, has the body attack them, and turns in the former self.
Can only die by having 2 fully formed tails cut off.
Dwarf Sirens
Smaller than average humanoid figures that bring people into empty places and manipulate them into doing as the Dwarf Sirens want.
Often these Dwarf Sirens have specific goals, wealth, fame, or power most commonly (Think Dragon Hoard)
Weakness to light, the creatures have the ability to manipulate their outlines but closer inspection can pull a victim from their grip.
Moss Hagravens
Nature obsessed bird creatures that are willing to do anything to protect their homes
Able to be tamed, only has been done a few times, very small unrising population
As civilizations try to go back to their homes, Moss Hagravens react violently to the attempts at returning. The creatures have grown extremely protective of the abandoned homes
Visibly described as nightmarish and similar to plague doctors, holds grudges like crows
Once a person has stepped close to its territory, it will attempt to kill that person and all the people that person interacts positively with. Unless a proper apology gift is given.
Weak to fire, can use most other elements to its advantage
Noble Nightmares
A large disgusting beast that turns into each person's worst Filtered nightmare
Harmed by color as it damages the ability to shapeshift
Sapphire Reptilians
Komodo Dragon like lizards named after their bright coloring that can shift into a human like form in order to eat their human prey
Can eat other large animals as well
Killed by starvation, they have to eat every 48 hours in order to transform.
Protect the prey and the predator will die
Autumn Shapeshifters
A curious creature that follows people who wander into the woods, hiding at every chance of the people viewing it
They turn violent however, if they view something they deem wrong.
They will then kill the person, and attempt to take their place in order to right the wrong.
If you see their true form, they will freeze in fear, they die from decapitation.
Hidden Ghosts
A beloved pet that has viewed extensive power in the hands of its owner.
The type of power, strength, and impacts can be discerned by the animal, though they stay loyal to each other
Mostly harmless, unless the base magic is based off harm
Clockwork Corruptions
Small creatures that manipulate clocks and small toys
At a young age a clockwork will choose a person. They will begin manifestations by making clocks be slightly off wherever they go, escalating until a person's internal clock is majorly damaged, causing a person to die from insomnia.
They then move on, full for a few years off a singular meal
Sight can overwhelm and kill them
Grimm Metus
A monster that uses a person's corpse to integrate into a society
Its goal is to avoid suspicion so it can eat other corpses hearts
Weak to water, drowning specifically
Stone People
A vaguely human shaped statue that has a chance of making a person obsessed with it. Tend to be in groups as the more statues the more of a chance of choosing
A chosen person will see and treat the statues like people, They will chose the statues over family and friends. At the 1 week point into the obsession the person will “Disappear” and a new statue will be added to the group.
Non chosen people will be hunted and killed the night after a sighting. They are used as fuel to move through the land.
Weak to immense blunt force trauma
White Orb Hotel
A building that is strangely high quality in comparison to the rest of the places nearby. It has a consciousness and can change the places purpose, but is most commonly the hotel
The victims will try and take shelter in the place, as it is always the best option
They will become trapped in a specific place, for example the elevator, a hallway or the bathroom. They will stay for a long time until they mentally are on the verge of collapse. They will then be allowed to move on to the next area.
Even if they do escape it is only to the next section, the victim will no longer have any bodily functions needed. The place feeds from the terror so they will never let a victim break
If a person is not afraid, they will be forgotten by the White Orb Hotel, allowing them to escape into the center (traditionally the boiler room) where they can break the power sources. The place then is turned into a normal place, no old victims are freed but no more can be taken.

Puppeteers that pull bugs to them, lost traditional bill shape in order to scoop
