the april x leo introduction in Mutant Mayhem was so similar to 2012 apritello introduction that i started sweating and having flashbacks and heart palpitations in my seat BUT OMG YALL WHEEEWWW it was handled SO MUCH BETTER.
im still on the fence as to if i actually like it but at least it isnt 2012 apritello again praise the lord.
So now that Spider-Man: Across The Spiderverse is premiering soon, and the new TMNT movie’s 2nd trailer has been released, I feel as though you fandom brats need a refresher course when it comes to media aimed directly for young adults/ younger teens, especially when it comes to romance.
Fictional teenagers — especially boys — expressing a clear desire to be in romantic relationships should not be an inherent bad thing.
Representation for clear and healthy romantic desire and exploration between teens is just as important as LGBT or disability or ethnic representation, and I’m tired of people treating it like some big slap in the face when exploring romantic avenues and desires has always been a stable of the teen experience, regardless of if you’re straight or it you fall into the LGBT umbrella.
