*foaming at the mouth* im so glad you asked me about a topic i am so normal about
for context: lenji married his high school sweetheart and got divorced, like, four years later. in that time, they moved to NYC (which lenji HATED) and had twin daughters: lucille joy lin and amber joy lin. yes, they're still pissed about having to share a middle name. lenji moved right over the state border and lives in the NJ suburbs. they went to school in NYC for a long time, but started going to school in NJ after their mom re-married, because their stepdad also has a kid and 5 ppl gets crowded in a NYC apartment.
by the time lenji lands in baltimore, the twins are 14. lucy and amber have moved in with their mom, stepdad, and stepsibling. lucy ended up hoarding keeping all of lenji's stuff safe & even got a job to pay for a storage unit b/c she was adamant he would come back. everyone else told her that it wasn't healthy to hold on like that, but she ended up being right and she's very smug about it.
both of them have autism (lenji also has autism but their mother doesn't). lucy's sp/in is psychonauts and amber's sp/in is sports history. her favorite sport is actually soccer, but she enjoyed learning about blaseball, the teams, and the players, and also trying to decode the forbidden book to potentially find legal loopholes. the world of sports history becomes absolutely oversaturated with blaseball history after the stuff in the library is revealed, so her attention turns to that. a lot of the stuff is about parker macmillan. and you'll never guess who lenji's third unofficial adopted child is
ok listen. lenji's entire plan was to just let him stay at his house until he got on his feet. it didn't work out like that.
but!! that's aside the point of the actual wip. this specific piece is about lucy and amber "sneaking" into the crabitat and meeting the crabs. amber gets her nose pinched by a crab (animal) and the crabs (players) have to help her get it off, hopefully before their dad gets back. there's like 5 minutes of struggling before parker just walks up and goes "aww what're you doing here, little guy?" and grabs the crab like a hamburger and it lets go, completely content.

ANNOUNCEMENT + Round 1 notable moments, and the matches for Round 2

Now, notable moments (in my opinion):
Tillman Henderson got out in the first round, proving there is a God and he is merciful. Tillman lost to Logan Horseman.
I think (I'm like 95% sure) that Oliver Notarobot beating Reese Clark was the biggest upset so far. On a scale of 1-90, with 1 being least likely to win and 90 being the opposite, Oliver was 42 and Reese was 87.
Kaz Fiasco beat Chorby Soul, which was probably the match with the most propaganda (including both actual posts and tags that say "VOTE X")
Juke Gnocchi, an incin replacement we got in Season 2, got farther than Parker MacMillan did. Considering that they're roommates/enemies, this is hilarious to me.
Brisket Friendo vs. Tot Fox was the closest match, with Brisket at 50.8% and Tot at 49.2%
Meanwhile, Monique Flowchart vs. Silvaire Roadhouse had the biggest difference between votes, with Monique at 11.1% and Silvaire at 88.9%
Now, here's the round two matches. LINKS WILL BE ADDED AFTER THE POLLS ARE POSTED. The polls are currently scheduled to post at 1:30 pm on the 15th, but who knows when I'll be able to sit down and add links.

He opened the door. "Oh, hey!" Parker furrowed his brow. "Did I order something and forget?"
"No. Got something for Juke," DD said, walking in and setting an incredibly banged-up box of granola bars down. She held out another larger package. "And you have mail, Parker. It was on the doorstep."
"I don't believe the trek from the store to here was that tumultuous," Parker remarked, taking his package from DD's hands and nodding in the direction of Juke's delivery.
DD smiled. "My hands slipped."
"Mhm," Parker hummed, his lips formed in a straight line. "Sure thing. Well, Juke's not here right now, if you want to stay for a bit."
"No, I have a paper to write," DD sighed. "I'm not looking forward to it, but it's due in three days, so I should probably start."
Declan snorted. "Yeah, just maybe."
DD stuck her tongue out at Declan, and Declan did the same back. Parker just rolled his eyes and smiled.

Lenjamin offered her a hand. She took it, and he pulled her up next to him. Hana expected him to pull away and let go of her hand, but he did neither.
"It looks rather old to me, but I think you'd know better than I do," Hana said, wondering to herself if it was possible to force yourself not to blush.
"Well, comparatively, it's young. These trees grow to be a couple of centuries old. But, it's old enough to bear a lot of nuts. The chestnuts don't appear to be anywhere near ripe yet, which makes sense, because their season just started, I believe," Lenji continued, pointing at the green nubs growing from the branches with one hand and holding Hana's with the other. "And… I think that's mistletoe."
Hana looked to where he was pointing. Sure enough, there was a small patch of green leaves and white berries latched onto the branch of the chestnut tree. Right over their heads.
"What's the tradition behind mistletoe, again?" Hana asked, even though she knew the answer.
Lenji's cheeks turned pink. "A kiss."
"So…"
Hana placed a hand on his cheek and turned his face towards hers, and before she could finish her sentence, Lenji kissed her.

Amber kept busy by scanning her surroundings, trying to get her bearings. The part of the Crabitat her dad was walking into was behind the main ballpark, in an area she nor Lucy had seen before. To be fair, they hadn't been to the main ballpark, either; their dad [Lenjamin Lin] was careful to keep any instance of Blaseball out of their lives, which is why it was exhilarating to be in a spot that the general public wasn't allowed in. Amber loved sports history, and Baltimore had a lot of history.
Lucy, however, just liked breaking and entering. The minute their father had disappeared through a crack in the carapace, she unbuckled and leaned into the front of the car, and turned the car off.
"Do you want to–" She started to ask Amber.
"Way ahead of you," Amber said, already climbing out of the car and

🌞 favourite character from current wip
from a few select wips:
a beginner's guide to being normal: yuniesky. 100%. i love this little guy
crabs* road trip: both parker and juke (*it's only declan, parker and juke, i just can't come up with a better name)
oc story: gwen (same reasons i love writing yuniesky). also alejandro :] gwen has trauma from her mother and brother dying tragically and then the entire world framing her father. and then it was her brother. who tried to kill her. this isn't related to yuniesky at all, but this part is: she genuinely believes that she can be a different person if she wants. it's easy for her to lie. and, as an affect (effect?) of her trauma, she really doesn't feel empathy and struggles with sympathy. alejandro i enjoy writing because he's just unhinged. 17 year old who dresses up in a turtleneck and blazer every day no matter what. comes from a family of people with supernatural powers. his mom's power was indestructiblity and mysteriously turned up dead in texas. they lived on the oregon/washington state border. his superpower is having a lot of blood. it has healing properties, but nobody knows this because who tf is gonna eat his blood. he can ID people by tasting their blood. he might be half brothers with the (human) child of the (crab) goddess. just whatever. who even cares

oc wip, because it's so big idek where to start. starting chronologically doesn't make sense. but like. there's a lot of important stories to tell before the main story. so?? i've written short stories with them tho
also: several lenjamin lin/flattery strewnberry fics. several about flattery and lenji's kids (who i have lored. because of course i have), and one about them actually realizing they're in love and like dating or whatever
