agent CHA INHO has volunteered as a MEDIC in division four. they are 39 years old and resemble LEE JEHOON of the good ol’ days. think they used to be a SURGEON back then, too. pity those days are over now. they’re a little SCEPTIC, but with their DEDICATION, they’re sure to make a fine addition to the unit. good luck and godspeed, soldier.

born as the second child into a picturesque family in incheon. mom, dad, older sister and a couple years down the line, a tabby cat that would accompany them for the next ten years.

both of his parents are in the medical field themselves, so inho has been surrounded by the subject since his very youth; his dad was a paediatrician, his mom was a nurse. it’s only a natural turn of events that when the time comes, he would follow down the same road.

he’s quite smart in school throughout his life, with good ethics, dedicating hours to studying when his classmates are out in karaoke bars and visiting amusement parks. sometimes, even his parents said that he’s wasting his teenage years away. he’s known that if he wanted to upkeep their family name and legacy, he couldn’t slack away. he preferred it like that, anyway.

so when the letter of acceptance came knocking on the doors of their home, well, everyone down the street knew it he got into an university in seoul. obviously, after the excitement came the dreaded realization he would be separated from his family for the first time in his life.

years are heavy and buried with books, swimming in endless amounts of coffee. it all pays off in the end, however, as his job is something he genuinely enjoys. the path ahead of him only leads him to greater opportunities, too.

meets a woman in 2010 through mutual friend, who he thinks is his soulmate. they date for a year, marry quickly, and in 2014 they go separate ways. inho fails to balance his work and home time, spending more time at the hospital and with his studies than with his wife. there are no children in the picture, though they tried to, and it is his wife who files for the eventual divorce. she says he should just marry his doctor’s garb instead of any living, breathing human.

following the divorce, he files for a request to be transferred back to his hometown. it’s accepted, though many are sad to see him go.

lives in his childhood home for a few months, with his sister and her family, before he finds a place of his own. there, there’s not much furniture or personality to his place of residence, which is fine; just as his ex-wife said, he spends more time at the hospital than anywhere else.

he, along with other medical staff, are aware of the supposed swine flu-like virus that spreads around the world. much like everyone else, they discuss it in term of a flu, the possible causes, treatment, etcetera. much like everyone else, inho is completely oblivious to the true nature behind it.

when the outbreak happens he’s quote working unquote with the korean disaster relief by extension of working in the medical field. he aids people to the best of his ability, though he’s as confused as one can be: symptoms are unlike anything he’s seen before and there is no reasonable medical explanation.

doesn’t agree with the oppressive nature of kdrt’s rule in the slightest, but inho bites through it for the sake of civilians and the false hope that tomorrow will be better. after the nth denial of a family and civilians into their quarantine zone, thus leaving them to fend for themselves, witnessing the strict rules, etcetera, he loses it, culmination of everything becoming too much to bear. coincidentally, around the same time, there is talk of a resistance group taking a stand. he packs his little belongings in the middle of the night and flees.

it’s a long journey, by foot and by car. it’s long and lonely and dangerous, and through it, inho learns to build walls around him. he learns that in the worst scenarios, such as one of a zombie apocalypse they find themselves in, there is no difference between the cruelty of a man and a man turned beast. he’s unpleasant to the ones he teams up with for the short time, a mechanism to not get attached to anyone, or be betrayed by anyone. he doesn’t risk his safety for another being. he sees shit that changes him for the worse. he exhausts a life for the first time, instead of saving it. and it is all done on the belief that whatever there is in busan is worth it.

he’s been in the fireflies' established quarantine zone for two and a half years now, half of which has been spent doing volunteer work across various hospitals and clinics that need an aiding hand. though, it is to say — he is not the good doctor that he once was, instilling hope for the days to come. he’s cold and sarcastic and cuts straight to the point instead of sugar-coating anything.

he hears of the division four mission through both word of mouth while he's working but also the official calls for action. he sits on it for a couple of days before he shows up at the doorstep, extending his hand and expertise. blame it on restlessness, or foolishness.

Gang In-Ho, that was the name on a small gift card with the star constellation Orion on it, attached to a laundry basket, carrying a small dark-haired baby, left on the doorstep of a grocery store at the end of february 1988. Where he comes from, he never found out, but at least his nickname stuck around. Orion was taken in, albeit at a respectable distance, by the Seong family, and raised under supervision by the family, his housing, food, and education paid for and taken care of. Loyalty was there from the very first memory Orion has of his past. He has always remembered the kindness, there was never any hard feelings about having to take care of him, he just got love and protection. He felt like he needed to do everything he could in return for their kindness.

After he finished his studies, Orion started working for the company, as a secretary. It was so easy to fall into all of it, every detail of his life being connected to the family that raised him, his job, his life as a werewolf, it felt perfectly normal since he wouldn’t have had it any other way. He couldn’t imagine moving away from the Seongs. Not since their daughter was possibly his best friend in the whole world. Scratch that, he would die for her. When she became the pack’s leader, he asked her parents if he could work for her. He would protect her, he would do what he could to make her life easier. He practically begged to have the honour, knowing that no other person would be better suited for it than he was. After all, he would care for her health and her position.

He had her back when her loyalty was questioned, cared for her after the fight, and grew paranoid in the year that followed, but even his paranoia couldn’t have prepared him for what followed, all he could do was fight and make sure she got out alive. He needed her to survive, because he couldn’t help the others. For years while on the road, Orion checked if everything was secure, he was her friend, but he was also her pack, and he still considered her the leader. She was always worrying, he felt the glances, and he knew he wasn’t going to be able to live with the fact that she was being consumed by it. So he promised to put an end to it, left her with the vow that he would find her when he was done, and they parted ways.

It took him almost a year to find the traitor who was responsible for all the bad things that had happened to his pack. While the other pledged he would never come after them again, Orion didn’t believe him. There was only one way to ensure Yoona’s safety.

Two weeks ago he made it to Holloway, like he promised.

he’s great at boxing and several forms of martial arts, because he believed that was the best way to protect Yoona.

unlike Yoona he didn’t change his name, his wasn’t worth much to begin with. Though he goes as Orion around most people and doesn’t say his full name often.
