I would like to thank that anon for their long dignified post. I agree with you.

A lot of fans are saying we are only calling out the age difference because of jealousy, sorry I disagree. I don't have any issue with age difference in general but a man who is approaching 41 being seen with a girl who could quite frankly pass for early teens, is somewhat worrying, this could dent his image without doubt. He hasn't got the credibility of LDC to get around dating young girls (plus at least the girls Leo dates look their age).

I know for Chris it's most likely a male bravado pulling a youngster, but the long term impact on how many people see him will definitely take a hit.

I know this is a sensitive subject and I think the mods across the blogs are handling it well, but for some of us out there the age gap is a bit uncomfortable

I am younger than Chris, but I have a lot of coworkers who are in their twenties and the generational gap between us It Is so clear that I wonder how the Boston bunch can be at their ease with the Portoguese gang...

Først kørte vi til Keta for at reparere deres dør, som havde været genstand for indbrud😬derefter tog vi til en by der hedder Atiavi, hvor vi havde hørt at der skulle til at begynde et nyt projekt😊ja det er ikke nemt at finde en ny destination her i Ghana, eftersom der ikke er vejnavne og husnumre langt de fleste steder, så det tog lige et øjeblik at finde😆det var så langt ude at man solgte benzin til motorcyklerne i literflasker , ingen tankstation. Vi spurgte om vej flere gange og da vi endelig kom til landsbyen, hvor folk forstod hvad vi ledte efter, var de mere en villige til at køre foran os for at vise vej🙏

Det viste sig så at byggeholdet lige var blevet færdig med den rigssal, som så ikke hedder en rigssal men et mødested, fordi der kun er et par og 20 forkyndere. Det betyder også at salen har nogle mangler ift en alm rigssal. F.eks er der ikke isolering under taget, så der bliver ret varmt i salen. Der er heller ikke vand, så det der skal bruges må bæres dertil. Men et mødested var nødvendigt, da over det dobbelte kommer til møderne. De har to ældste.

Vi hjalp dem med at pakke en lastbil, som skulle hen til det nye sted, hvor det skal bygges😁hvilket så viste sig at være det sted vi egentlig ledte efter😉🙈så her skal vi begynde på mandag.

En lille bitte, åben rigssal/mødested. På grunden er der et hus som er doneret til selvskabte samt en midlertidig rigssal😉

I can help you kill around 8%, 12 of those hours. Here are five must-watch films set before the twenty-first century. Don’t watch them all at once, that’s lame. 

No spoilers. 

5.  The Revenant (1823)

Main Cast:  Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy 

“Revenge is in the Creator's hands.”

Many of you will know of this film as the one which finally gave LDC his first Oscar, for Best Actor, at the 88th Academy Awards. Unfortunately, you would have stopped at that information and not bothered to watch the film. Released in 2015, the film is based on a novel of the same name. The definition of ‘Revenant’  is “a person who has returned, especially supposedly from the dead.” The story-line does not deviate from the title, as an American frontiersman named Hugh Glass is engulfed in a bear attack and is left for dead by his hunting crew. But he survives. And he’s fucking pissed. The novel is called The Revenant: A Novel of Revenge, and yeah, the film is pretty vengeful too. Interestingly, even though Hugh Glass was indeed a real person, and it is mostly believed that the film and novel are based on a story, there exist no writings from the man himself to verify the description of his story. His story was first published in a Philadelphia literary journal known as The Port Folio. Some say that it is no more than a legendary tale. Nevertheless, a brilliant film, don’t miss out. 

4. Before Sunrise (1994)

Only Cast (LOL): Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy

“If there's any kind of magic in this world…it must be in the attempt of understanding someone.”

If you’re a fan of love stories/romantic films, and if you haven’t come across the Before Trilogy, I don’t know what kind of love stories you watch. Why is this film unique? In technical terms, it’s minimalist. In simple words, there’s no real plot. There’s no action or drama or horror. These two just walk and talk. Then they talk some more while walking, and when they’ve nothing to talk about, they just walk quietly. So why watch the film? For starters, it’s very peaceful and relaxing, unlike The Revenant, which is fucking intense. Secondly, the conversations in the film constitute some of the best dialogue-exchanges in the history of cinema. Their characters are very carefully crafted, as their varying perspectives on living and loving bring out some deep AF points throughout the film. It is a slow film no doubt, but I promise you that the blandness is worth it, and the ending is too nice. Don’t get bored, give the film some time and thank me later. 

3. Django Unchained (1858)

Main Cast: Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, and Leonardo DiCaprio

“Sold! To the man with the exceptional beard and his unexceptional nigga!”

Django Unchained is Tarantino’s highest-grossing film ever, for good reason. Although it has been criticized for historical inaccuracies, violence, and unprecedented high use of the N-word, Tarantino delivered one of the most dramatic and entertaining films from the era of plantation slavery. While the image above portrays Foxx, a slave, and LDC, a rich plantation owner, the highlight of the film was the German dentist-turned-bounty hunter, Dr. King Schultz, played by Christoph Waltz. Waltz’s performance is impeccable, only matched by his portrayal of Standartenführer Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds (also directed by Tarantino). While the film starts off with Dr. Schultz hunting for his bounties, it eventually goes on to become a rescue mission, where Django and Schultz look for the former’s estranged wife, Broomhilda von Shaft. TW; extreme cursing and racism. But the film is a work of art. In fact, Jamie Foxx has revealed that LDC was pretty uncomfortable on the set, as his character had to use extremely racial slurs. But boy, he pulled off that role brilliantly.

2. Zodiac (1969 - 1980s)

Main Cast: Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, and Robert Downey Jr.

“I wanna report a double murder. If you go one mile east on Columbus Parkway, to a public park, you'll find kids in a brown car. They were shot with a 9mm Luger. I also killed those kids last year. Goodbye.” 

What happens when Iron Man, Hulk and Mysterio gang-up against one of America’s most notorious serial-killers? For now, I can only tell you that it was a pretty uneven contest. Based on a true story, this film depicts the useless San Francisco Police Department’s hunt for the Zodiac Killer, led by Dave Toschi (Ruffalo), and aided by political cartoonist Robert Graysmith (Gyllenhaal) and crime reporter Paul Avery (Downey). In case you’re wondering if they’re fictional characters, they’re not. They became pretty famous while the Zodiac Killer was running havoc, and have multiple articles and Wikipedia pages dedicated to all three of them. The Zodiac Killer remains unidentified by the way, and the cases are still officially open. Why watch the film then? Because the mysteriousness of it will blow your mind. Note that the film is directed by David Fincher, the same guy who directed Seven, Fight Club, Gone Girl and Mindhunter, among many other murder mysteries and thrillers. Don’t be surprised if you spend the rest of the day investigating the case yourself, happens to the best of us. 

Consolation Prize: The Irishman (1950s - 1970s)

Main (legendary) Cast: Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci

I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking how can a film with a cast of three actors who redefined cinema in the late twentieth century earn only a consolation prize on this list? The truth is, that such crime/mafia/gangster films, no matter how legendary the cast is, only appeal to a particular audience. A lot of film buffs who truly appreciate cinema and actors are simply not enticed by this genre, which is okay. Nevertheless, this film, which spans over 200 minutes, is one of Martin Scorsese’s best works, along with other mob movies like Goodfellas and The Departed. Based on a true story, it follows the adventures of ordinary truck driver-turned-assassin Frank ‘Irishman’ Sheeran (De Niro), who gets mixed up in some extraordinary business with mobster Russell Bufalino (Pesci), his Pennsylvania crime family and American labor union leader Jimmy Hoffa (Pacino). The punchline of the film is “I heard you paint houses” - a mob code implying: I heard you murder people for money, the paint being the symbol of the blood that splatters when bullets are riddled into the target. Typical Scorsese, mesmerizing direction. The punchline is also the name of the novel the film is based on, in case you love reading about organized crime. 

1. Dallas Buyers Club (1985)

Main Cast: Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner and Jared Leto

“Sometimes, I feel I'm fighting for a life that I just ain't got the time to live. I want it all to mean something.”

On the day of the 86th Academy Awards, Facebook and Twitter erupted in outrage. LDC had not been awarded the Oscar for Best Actor for his portrayal of  Jordan Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street, also known as The Film You Must Never Watch With Your Family. I merely asked every hot-tempered schmucks who posted that LDC had been snubbed, “Have you watched Dallas Buyers Club?” Either the answer was no, or the answer never came. The point being, Dallas Buyers Club is one of the best films ever made. Based on the true story of Ron Woodroof, a once homophobic, junkie cowboy diagnosed with AIDS, co-starring Jared Leto (who won best supporting actor) as Rayon, a fictional trans-woman with HIV, this film tells us an extraordinary tale of friendship, hope and empathy. When Ron discovers that the Federal Drug Administration has been systematically banning cheap drugs that can improve the condition of existing HIV-AIDS patients, he opens a ‘buyers club’, that enabled sick people to make drug purchases at lower prices. Things get more interesting with the role of  Dr. Eve Saks, an AIDS doctor, who recognizes the villainous role of the state, but wants to remain within the ambit of the law. Ron’s character development might be the highlight of the film, as he transforms from a selfish, homophobic asshole to a dying man waging war against the American government, fighting for the healthcare of the underprivileged. Very few equally magnificent films have come out post Dallas Buyers Club. Don’t miss out.

Ja bedre sent end aldrig, jeg ville gerne lige dele nogle få oplevelser fra denne uge. Som i allerede kan fornemme er tjenesten fantastisk her i Sokakope. Den første dag jeg var afsted fik jeg lov til at læse flere gange i Bibelen (47 gange) på 3,5 time end på en hel månede i Danmark. Det er skønt at opleve glæden når sandheden rør deres hjerter. I dag var vi en af landsbyerne, der fik jeg to særligt gode besøg, den ene ville gerne have at jeg kom igen, gerne allerede søndag for det var hans sidste dag inden han, mandag skulle tilbage til hovedstaden. Den anden ville meget gerne ville gerne studier “gode nyheder” lektion 7 også på søndag for han ville meget gerne vide hvad Guds rige ville udrette. 

Da jeg var punktere på motorcyklen, var jeg nød til at få den lavet om eftermiddagen, grundet nogle trælse omstændigheder ender jeg ved vores motorcykel forhandler, han er muslim og Johannes har snakket med ham flere gange, mens jeg sad og ventede på en ny slange til dækket spurgte forhandleren mig om jeg havde hørt at Polen ville tillade homoseksuelle bryllupper. Det havde jeg ikke lige, men kunne sige at det havde vi i Danmark allerede, han udbryder så “Vil det sige at præsten holder ceremonien” (det skal lige siges han viste godt at det var ikke det biblen lærte og vi derfor ikke støttede dette) det måtte jeg sige ja til så ville jeg vise 2 Tim 3:1-5 men da jeg hverken havde min telefon, tablet eller bibel med, ville han låne mig hans, han var lige ved at vælte hele butikken og fyre alle da han ikke kunne finde sin bibel, så jeg lovede at Johannes og ville vende tilbage.

Det er en fantastik menighed, der er tilknyttet en gruppe i Tefle, som de lige har søgt om at må blive til en menighed, og de har lige for nyligt fået udnævnt en ny ældste så nu er de 3 til begge menigheder, så de holder møde kl 8:00-9:45 og køre ligeså mødet er slut til den anden menighed for at være klar kl 10:30 for at holde mødet en gang til. De 2 af de ældste er samtidig speciel pioner, det er et kæmpe arbejde de udføre. Så hvis man keder sig, så kan man jo kigge forbi måske lige lære sproget Ewe😜

Tirsdag var jeg på standen om morgenen og om eftermiddagen var jeg på studie hos Rachel, sammen med Fortune.

Det var så godt for det vil skulle besvarer var at der ikke hindes et helvede. Fortune havde så mange logiske argumenter samt bibelvers jeg aldrig havde tænkt på i den forbindelse👍🏼Jeg er allerede nu ved at lægge op til at Fortune skal overtage studiet og det er en dejlig fornemmelse at have det på plads allerede.

Da jeg kom hjem fik vi besøg af en fra LDC field rep. Han havde forhørt sig med bethel og vi blev endnu engang opmuntret til at flytte til Ghana som LDC arbejdere. Han fortalte os også at der en mange byggeprojekter under vejs, der hvor vi bor, så det bliver nemt for os at komme på byg de kommende år😁

Da han var kørt, kom alle vores unge hjem fra Mole nationalpark🦍🐘🐒🦜🦌der blev hurtigt vekslet nødvendige oplysninger og aftaler for næste dag og så var det i seng😴😴😴😴

Kl.7 begyndte Cecillie Lorentzen og jeg ved standen😊her fik vi kompagni af de andre hvide/brune😂samt vores bror fra LDC. Derefter tog vi ud til vores tildelte distrikt😁Cecillie og jeg havde så mange gode oplevelser. Jeg havde B.la to genbesøg. De havde begge deres bror på besøg. Efter en lang samtale hos det ene par, spurgte vi om de ville vide mere eller om det skulle slutte her. Men de ville meget gerne fortsætte og det med det samme😃så det gjorde vi. De fik nogle gamle blade vi havde liggende, men det interessante var, da vi gik videre i vores distrikt, mødte vi den ene, som lige havde været hjemme og hente sin bibel😁📖så skulle der læses😁

Desværre blev vi nødt til at forlade distriktet efter nogle timer, da Cecillie fik en storker🙊en beruset mand ville giftes med hende🧖‍♀️men det var hun ikke med på🥴da han blev ved med at følge efter os, besluttede vi at gå til den anden ende af distriktet og begynde derfra.

Vi havde et par studier sidst på dagen. Det ene med Jessica og hendes bror, samt alle de børn der nu engang samler sig om os og gerne vil lytte med. Som nævnt før er det jo også her den døve Belinda bor. Hun har nu studeret i 4 uger og begejstringen for det hun lærer, vil ingen ende tage, så hun nærmest overtog studiet🙈men hendes tegnsprog, som børnene godt forstår, begyndte hun at undervise dem. Hun “sagde” igen og igen at de skulle tage kundskab fra Bibelen ind.(i hovedet).

Som sagt før, vil hun jo også meget gerne have at jeg danner relation til hendes datter😊så hun blev igen plantet på skødet af mig, men denne gang med en stærk lugt at tis🥺det er en af de “fornøjelser” tjenesten giver her😥

Vi sluttede af på markedet ved at give et lille budskab til dem vi handlede hos. Én sagde: det er dig der sidder med standen om morgenen, jeg har set dig.

En anden sagde: jeg kommer til møde i morgen aften.

Vi var hjemme kl. 4:30. Jeg er stolt af at Cecillie klarede dage SÅ godt. 1. Dag i tjenesten og så i 9,5 timer i 35 graders varme. Hernede ville man sige A’jo’cool👍🏼👍🏾
